This hotel, a historical building located in the bustling Bund area, has a unique charm. Most of the staff were very friendly, and when I opened the door to my room, the view was so beautiful it almost looked fake – unreal! Stepping out, you're right on the Bund, and it's also very close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, where I finally got to try the highly anticipated 'Star Man' ice cream.
However, checking in was like queuing up for a flight. While waiting, a nice young man offered me a cup of tea. After waiting for about five minutes, it was my turn. The lady at the front desk took my ID without a single word of welcome or a smile. She was busy on her phone dealing with some room issues, then told me, 'Thanks for waiting.' To be honest, the check-in experience felt far from welcoming, which was a bit disappointing. Later that evening, when I ordered takeout, I had to go downstairs to pick it up myself. I had just finished a hot bath and had to get fully dressed to go get my food! 😂 Luckily, the weather wasn't cold. And then, I was woken up in the middle of the night by kids having a loud party next door. 😂😂😂

Our stay was absolutely flawless! A special shout-out to our dedicated concierges, Evelynn and Danny, who managed every aspect from check-in to check-out with incredible efficiency and precision. Whether it was luggage delivery or arranging transportation, everything went seamlessly without any waiting. The Waldorf Astoria on the Bund truly lives up to its reputation for top-notch service.

The hotel is right by the Bund. If you turn right after exiting, there's an open-air shisha lounge on the 9th floor of the building next door. The atmosphere is quite good, and the shisha is very authentic. The breakfast was decent. I'd definitely stay here again.

The concierge service at Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund sets the gold standard for luxury! A special thanks to Mark, Max, and Jimmy. Upon arrival, they proactively helped with luggage, greeted us with warm smiles, and guided us efficiently. When we asked about sightseeing routes around the Bund and restaurant reservations, all three were incredibly patient and detailed. The routes they recommended helped us avoid crowds, and the local Shanghainese restaurant they booked for us had exceptional food. Throughout our stay, their responses were prompt, professional, and thoughtful, showcasing luxurious attention to detail. They made our stay perfect, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Shanghai!

Staying at the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund is a must when you visit Shanghai! I really have to commend Evelynn and Aaron from the concierge team this time – they were incredibly efficient and thoughtful with everything from luggage to travel arrangements. A big thank you also to the lovely young lady selling pastries on the second floor, who made us feel so welcome. A century-old historic building paired with first-class service absolutely deserves a five-star rating!

The exclusive concierge service, with Emily and Echo providing exceptionally attentive care, ensured a seamless arrival and departure experience. Our room boasted unparalleled river views, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Lujiazui skyline, making for a truly luxurious and comfortable stay. They proactively helped with luggage, provided directions, and were flexible in accommodating last-minute itinerary changes. Absolutely stunning and the most luxurious hotel I've ever seen 🤩 it is a work of art from a different time period
It was like staying in one of the victorian style palaces
