I stayed in the VIP building. The facilities are a bit dated, but the space is much larger than building 3. All rooms come with dehumidifiers, making the overall stay very comfortable. You can check out directly downstairs without having to go to the main building. Thanks to Selene Hao for the great service, everything was excellent! 👍

The most stunning aspect is the garden – a morning stroll along what was once a VIP walkway feels like stepping back in time to an era of diplomatic luminaries. The breakfast's freshly made wontons and crab roe soup dumplings are of a very high standard. A late-night drink at Face Bar really captures the hotel's unique romance.

If you want to experience the sophisticated 'Old Shanghai' lifestyle, this place has more soul than the luxury hotels on the Bund. While some facilities show their age, history buffs will find this charming. It's perfect for those looking for a deep dive into Shanghai's allure, and most importantly, the service here is exceptional. The service manager is warm and hospitable, truly commendable. The only minor drawback is the strong, unpleasant odor in the VIP building's elevator passage to the underground parking lot, which is connected to the gym and bathrooms. Of course, given the structural limitations, one has to put up with it.

I'd heard so much about Ruijin Guest House, and I finally got to experience it this holiday. The main hotel building's facilities were quite satisfying overall. My only minor complaint is that the toilet wasn't a smart one, which I found a bit inconvenient.

My stay here was incredibly satisfying, exceeding all expectations. The hotel boasts a rich historical ambiance, tranquil gardens, and a charming old Shanghai vibe. Its excellent location makes getting around incredibly convenient. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the check-in process was efficient and quick. Overall, it offers great value for money and I highly recommend it. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

An incredibly satisfying experience! I've often come here for the buffet before, and this time I decided to try an executive room. At check-in, the front desk upgraded me to a presidential suite (it was a loft with only skylights, but very spacious) and allowed for an early check-in.

Executive Perks: It's rare to encounter so many staff members with genuine personality. Especially all the ladies working the morning shift today (May 5th) in the Executive Lounge – they interacted with the kids so charmingly. I didn't catch everyone's name, but there was an Amy. Thank you all! The lounge's breakfast and dinner are basically the best value for money at this price point in the country.
During the May Day holiday, there was also a wagashi making workshop, and the pastry chef from Xinyuan Restaurant taught us really well.

Environment: Absolutely loved it! When we checked in, the security guard who drove the shuttle told us there were 17 cats, who had just been spayed. The lawns were full of weddings, creating a wonderful atmosphere! The heated pool in the gym was perfectly warm and very comfortable.

Facilities: This was the only minor drawback. I understand that many things are difficult to update, but for executive suites, things like hair dryers could definitely be upgraded to Dyson, for example.

Taking advantage of the good weather this weekend, I brought my parents for a nostalgic trip to see old mansions. We chose to stay at the InterContinental Ruijin Hotel this time. The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of the Huaihai Road commercial area, and it's a short walk to Sinan Mansions, Fuxing Park, and Tianzifang. As soon as we entered the lobby, we were captivated by the giant crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It looked even more beautiful when lit up at night. The InterContinental's service was excellent as always, and we checked in very quickly.

We booked a two-bedroom family suite in the main building, which features two bedrooms, a living room, and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has a 1.9-meter king-size bed, the second bedroom has two 1.35-meter double beds, and the living room has a two-seater sofa and a single armchair. The room included four executive lounge privileges, so after dropping off our luggage, we headed straight to the executive lounge for afternoon tea. The executive lounge also has that 'old money' vibe, perfect for photos. For dinner, we could either dine in the executive lounge or pay an additional 99 RMB to eat at 'Lounge 99' Western Restaurant. We opted for the latter as it offered more variety, including complimentary langoustine and West Lake vinegar fish (yellow croaker), making it quite a good deal.

After afternoon tea, we took a stroll through the hotel garden. It was lush and green, and the spring breeze blowing through the leaves felt especially gentle. The sun also turned warm, and the green leaves cradled delicate, dew-kissed flowers. In the gentle breeze, the flowers swayed softly, looking somewhat shy.
