Hotel Split in Podstrana

We stayed there just for a night, it was a last minute booking, but I don’t have anything negative to say about sour stay. From the beginning, we were welcomed by the guy in the reception, who was extra friendly and nice, our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We didn’t end up using the pool, but we visited the area and looked amazing, and lastly, we had breakfast there and there were plenty of options and was really good.
I would certainly recommend this hotel!

Great hotel, right in the beach, from restaurant you go directly to the beach. Nice rooftop pool. Private parking and delicious meals.

We loved our stay! Great staff who were very helpful. Also, the location was amazing. Can't wait to go back someday!!

Great location, right on a lovely beach is the major highlight of this hotel. Waking up every morning to the wonderful view, or sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down over the islands was memorable.

The positives of the hotel are:
Decent sized rooms
Comfy beds
Large bathrooms with good amenities
Good breakfast selection - the coffee machine makes great coffee and the breakfast room staff are super friendly and attentive.
Excellent location to get into Split, either by local bus or Uber.

Areas that were not so good and definitely need improving:
- Hotel lacks any sort of facilities - With no bar, nor restaurant there is absolutely no atmosphere in the hotel and you are forced to seek out places to go every evening.
- Wifi is ok but doesn't reach all areas of the hotel. Needs to be boosted in every room.
- €20 per day for parking is a rip off...though we did find a local parking lot @ 500mts away which was very cheap.
- €25 per day for 2 sunbeds & and a parasol, also a rip off! There should be a discounted price for hotel guests. We stayed 9 nights and only used the sunbeds twice due to the high cost.
- Air conditioning is very poor, it can only be controlled centrally by reception and the lowest temperature it can do down to is @ 20c/68f.This isn't low enough during the hot summer months.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Split but it would get a higher rating if some of the above was implemented.

Friendly staff, great beach location, if going into Split centre there is a regular bus service. Lots of beachside restaurants within a short walk.

Excellent facilities, all rooms sea view right next to the actual beach front less than (15meters).
Staff all genuinely polite & helpful.
Hotel via uber average 16mins travel into Central split town centre (cheaper than calling a direct taxi almost half the price. Optional bus service very cheap with bus top 5mins walkway.
Highly recommended location of stay for both families and couples.
Marina near by walking distance to bars, restaurants, local supermarket shop, coffee shop. Water sports hire facility on beach and near by excursions booking office less 10min walk away.

The hotel is great, clean, nice staff, nice beach but the surrounding area has a lot of traffic, so it takes a lot of time to arrive at and to leave the hotel throughout the day.
