Where to stay in Split

We had a fantastic holiday in a beautiful Sun Spalato apartment in Žnjan, Split, Croatia. The property management team were most helpful and very quick to respond to our queries and provided clear instructions how to access the property. Hope to use Sun Spalato Property Management services again in the future and would highly recommend them!

This place was beautiful to stay in and super close to everything. Toma was super helpful and sent us numerous of recommendations and places to explore. He also met up with us at 11:00pm to check us in as we had a late flight, which was amazing! Palace Tartaglia is super close to everything. I would recommend staying here!

Great spot in the middle of the walking old town. Room was new, comfortable and great AC (a must for summer in Croatia). Only downside is its up about 5 flights of stairs no elevator, they helped carry bags up but your on your own getting out. Would still highly recommend!

Great location! Kinda odd upstairs from an art gallery but it's a super cute room! Up 4 or 5 flights of stairs, no elevator but not a problem with gelato on every corner but definitely not wheelchair accessible. Comfy but small bed.

I want to start by saying this hotel is pretty hard to find. We arrived and did not have a sims card with GPS yet and we asked two locals working nearby for help that was readily given. But even the people that work 40 to 80 meters had to look it up. Where to start? Everything was amazing. The staff could NOT have been any more helpful. The room was amazing - perfect temperature throughout, lovely bathroom. This tiny little hotel is located inside Diocletian’s Palace compound. They park your car off site for 40 Euros per day. They do everything for you. Steps to the palace buildings, shopping, fine dining.

This hotel is unique, quaint. The staff are charming, friendly, helpful, welcoming. When I was lacking information for the next leg of my trip, they went out of their way to get the information I needed and helped me continue on my journey.

Everything was terrific! Easy to find, close to shops and restaurants! Staff was very friendly- set up our airport transfer for us - very economical and pleasant! There are steps but I believe they put you according to ability to walk if possible!

You need to walk to get to the hotel and with luggage it’s not easy to do for sure. No cars can get to it.

We had two excellent meals at this Hotel . The food is reasonably priced and very good value for money. The service was fast and efficient. The menu is quite varied so should suit all tastes. It’s a short walk from the Hotel Park which is were we are staying and the beach .

We couldn't be happier booking this stay In Split, Croatia. The location is fantastic, a small walk from the Ocean and markets. Very central to the ships and restaurants. The hotel itself has a wonderful group of staff who make you feel very welcome. Their restaurant has an outdoor open area where you can watch the people or traffic fo by. My mother, sister and I stayed in split for 4 nights, we ended up eating in the restaurant of hotel villa Diana three times on our trip. We loved it and the staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The food is simple but definitely tasty and worth the money. Although we didn’t have a room to stay in the hotel, next time in split I would definitely consider it as an option.

Classic European hotel stop. Glad my kids got to experience staying in a place like this. Walk down the steps and you are in town next to shops, cafes and the Marina is right around the corner.

My friend and I stayed while we were visiting Split. It is located centrally and was less than a 5 minute walk from all the major view points. Check-in was very easy and the staff were very flexible with luggage storage on the day of check-out.

We had the room up in the attic. The receptionist guy was very helpful showed the code to get into the building (will also have it printed on your receipt of your city tax payment). He made sure the boiler for hot water was on and also the air conditioning. Very nice amenities provided, body wash, vanity kit and body wash and the place was very clean. The Villa was perfect for two people very clean the hosts were very easy to deal with. There was a lot of restaurants, shopping and tour companies to choose from all within walking distance. Our host went above and beyond to arrange a town car to take us to the airport On a side note do not use taxis in Split they are extremely expensive and not very honest.

In a great location in the old town a short walkable distance to Diocletian's Palace.and ferry terminals. Many dining options nearby and grocery stores if you want to eat in. However, the hotplate in the top floor unit we stayed in did not work and there was no microwave oven thus limiting our choices. If not for this, I would have given a 4 star overall rating.

Great location on the Split promenade next to Diocletian Palace site. Large room, comfortable chairs, nice view from sea view premium room. This is a perfectly located hotel on the Riva in Split. We had good breakfasts at the outdoor part of their restaurant. Unfortunately, there were bedbugs in our room but the hotel immediately changed rooms for us and there was no problem in that room. This is a difficult problem both in a hotel and a home and we appreciate their quick response.

Near the Dominic Church, Fruit Square and only an hour walk to the terrace which I could see panoramic view of Split.

About 8 mins walk from the bus 37 terminal in Split. Clean rooms,friendly welcoming staff. Good choice of breakfast buffet food including prosecco. We were upgraded from the 3* hotel to the 4* building.they are next to each other. I will recommend this hotel.

The hot tubs and pool are great amenities. The choice at breakfast as great- especially the Prosecco. Staff in the pool bar were lovely. In the information book it mentioned shower gel and adaptors but when we queried at front desk we were told there weren’t any.

A bit out of the center but a nice, modern hotel with a great breakfast and sweet hang out place on the rooftop with a pool and jacuzzis. Also the bus to the airport is a couple minute walk away. Really convenient

Everything was just perfect. The staff was friendly and polite, the location is central yet quiet, and the hotel itself is in a beautiful, well maintained building.

They are very very kind. We arrived with our motorbikes and they give us the possibility to leave the bags an our helms before the check in to visit the city... breakfast is super! Rooms are good and silent. My husband hurt his hand and they treated him right away. Very nice and kind people.

The accommodation was spotless and had everything one might need, providing a very comfortable stay. The room and facilities were well-maintained, making it a great choice for anyone seeking a clean and pleasant place. The only issue was that the instructions for accessing the parking were a bit unclear, but once found, the garage was completely secure and safe.

We were very happy to be upgraded to the double suite. Very spacious for three of us. But the layout is a bit strange, probably converted from a residential property. The rooftop is a real plus surprise - the view is fantastic, the pool is so cool. Plus it also has sauna, gym and a jacuzzi - very comprehensive for such a boutique hotel.

I stayed in one of several ground floor (actually semi-basement) rooms that opened directly off the relatively quiet street. Noise was a major issue. This was for three reasons: (1) a window facing street and hidden outside by shutters and inside by curtains behind desk was left ajar. The style of the hotel is very vintage, the room and toilet are very big. Our room located next to the road, not too noisy at night time. We had no problem sleeping. It is in the edge of the old town, very easy to get to the center and main attractions. Only downside is the curtain at the door doesn’t really seem to be big enough to cover lights.

The unit had two bathrooms which was very nice. The place was very clean overall and the little outdoor patio allowed us to dry out some wet clothing. Julija was so pleasant at check-in and she set up a taxi for us for a 4:30AM trip to the airport. The driver showed up right on time.

Check-in and parking were a bit complicated, but I was able to park on the hotel property during my stay, and the room was very comfortable. The view of Split's sunset and nightlife from my room was particularly beautiful. The hotel was modern, with ample outlets and everything I needed. The wifi is sometimes good, sometimes bad. The bed and the room is comfortable. There are bugs and mosquitos in the environment around the hotel. Recommended to bring a bug and mosquito repellent liquid. I got 10 bites per 5 minute. Food is good.

For those driving, parking is available right downstairs at the hotel. The host is very nice, and the breakfast is excellent. There are stairs to the entrance, so it's a bit of a walk. It's only a 20-minute walk from the hotel to major seaside attractions, such as Diocletian's Palace. Calling an Uber takes about ten minutes and costs around EUR 10. Choose your preferred method. Located in the old town, it is ideal for sightseeing. The owner was also kind and I was able to check in safely even though it was late at night. However, the room was small, which was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure if all hotels in the old town in Croatia are the same, but you cannot store your luggage after check-out, so you have to stop by the luggage storage center, which costs extra.
