Where to stay in Split

We had a planning faux pas and needed a room for one extra day before we went back home. The hotel that we had been staying in was roughly €500 per night. Sleep split did not have as large of a room, it was an extremely nice room with modern amenities and was only 150 euros. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was so convenient to walk to The Old Town . The entry system made it feel very safe and secure. We were met and helped by staff efficiently on check-in and checkout. Room was clean, modern and very comfortable. Temperature control good!

Clean room, beautifully updated, spacious. Perfect location. Easy to walk to old town and ferry ports. markets, cafés and restaurants are all short walking distance.

Loved the Hotel and especially the Hotel staff. Driving and parking is tricky in old town split and the help guide us in and out. Above and beyond to make our vacation wonderful!

The location was beyond belief - as soon as you leave hte hotel you're virtually at the temple of Jupiter it is all so central. This tiny little hotel is located inside Diocletian’s Palace compound. They park your car off site for 40 Euros per day. They do everything for you. Steps to the palace buildings, shopping, fine dining.

This hotel is unique, quaint. The staff are charming, friendly, helpful, welcoming. When I was lacking information for the next leg of my trip, they went out of their way to get the information I needed and helped me continue on my journey.

Hotel room was clean and modern, we slept well. We would come back. There was no complementary water in the room, the hotel charged 6 Euro per bottle. We stayed in a room close to the street so it was bit noisy. There is no hotel parking space on offer, think the ******* website shows this wrong. We were able to park in garage nearby. Parking is expensive.

A really fabulous boutique hotel with only a few rooms. Great outdoor courtyard that is secure at night. Lovely breakfast each day and very friendly and efficient staff. I would definitely recommend it

Absolutely best location in Split. Room was fresh, warm while keeping the historic wall. I had everything I could have asked for. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The size of the room is very comfortable w a homely settings and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is very generous as it comes w a side bar of fruits and yogurt. However, if you have lots of luggage, you would have to be prepared to climb flights if stairs. It's very close to the old town, but there are many stairs to the accommodation and there is no elevator in the hotel, so travelers with large luggage need to be careful.

Because it's located in the old city, there's no parking and cars aren't allowed. If you have heavy or large luggage, the stairs to the hotel can be a bit difficult. I think it would be good to keep that in mind. Because it's a small hotel, when I arrived late at night, there was no one there. What a lovely B&B! This B&B is located in Split's pedestrian zone, a 3-minute walk from the old town. We stayed in room 106, which is on the second floor and only accessible by stairs. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. It has a clean, generous bathroom with a rain shower. Breakfast is served in the morning on the covered terrace. Modern villa under the same group as Hotel Vestibul Palace. The location is decent, just a 5-10 min walk downhill to the Old Town, or 5 mins away from the supermarket. Antonia who managed the accommodation was friendly, helpful and responsive.

A great villa. It sleeps four people and allows us to cook our own food. There are live peacocks on the balcony for you to admire. I think they're the owner's pets. They poop.

ABSOLUTELY nothing bad to say about this accommodation! It is a little difficult to find...we arrived in the dark (after our flight was delayed) and were talked in by Tina from the property...a great help! We had booked secure car parking space....under cover (very lovely in August when the temperatures were 28 degrees +) at a cost of 20 euros daily. The apartments are situated about a 10 minute walk...

Excellent small hotel. Quirky room with heritage features. Staff were great, bed was comfortable. Well positioned for Diocletians palace. Only minor issue was that the partially underground breakfast room needs some more lights.

More 2 star than 4 star Small dark room, very little hanging space, poor AC. Our room smelt of stale cigarettes. Breakfast is very limited, no warm food. Didn’t replace in room coffee or clean mugs/glasses during 3 night stay. There is no bar/cafe as advertised. Good location Definitely not 4 star hotel

A beautiful small hotel, full of history just like the area it’s located in. The room was excellent, very clean, and the girls at the reception were friendly, smiling, and welcoming. A big yes from us. We will recommend to our friends and family for sure

The hotel is almost perfect except the noise insulation, unfortunately it is a really big deal. I understand this is a very old building but the sound from the ceiling (people walking in above floor) is totally unacceptable. We can hear all the step so clearly and we cannot sleep well. Tbh I am someone very easy to fall asleep but unfortunately not this time Other than that, everything almost perfect

While the unit itself is lovely, if you plan to arrive after 11 PM, I do not recommend staying here. We waited from 11:30 until midnight standing in the street until someone came to let us in. During the night, two gentlemen sat at the tables outside and had a conversation until 4:10 AM. Without any staff on-site, these issues are difficult to manage, so I would not choose to stay here again.

Great hotel, delicious breakfast. It's just a shame we didn't know you could get dinner there. It's also a shame there was no elevator (we're over 65), and the safe should be installed in the closet, otherwise it's unusable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Compared to the exterior, the interior of the hotel is stylish and sophisticated. The rooms are also clean. I didn't have time to enjoy breakfast, but the croissants were delicious. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Split Predgradđe Station, and there's a supermarket along the way. This hotel doesn't feel like a 3-star hotel, so I highly recommend it.

The receptionist was great and quickly sorted an issue with my booking The big problem is the noise in the room. All night, every 15m some machine started working and was so noisy that we can feel the vibrations. For sure others rooms feel it too but in my room 205 was really bad

It was a horrible night. I couldn't sleep. The motor or mechanism of the ceiling air conditioner was making an infernal noise. Yet, all the control knobs on the wall unit were in the off position!!!! I therefore request a refund for my night's sleep and the tourist tax. Sincerely, Yann MICHEL

The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The view from our balcony room was stunning, and the room itself was very nice. However a few things came to us as a surprise during our stay and were frusrating. First, i did not get the room i booked through *******. I booked a 1 king+sofa bed, and they gave a room with only 1 king bed, saying the sofa bed are reserved for parties of 3 or more...

The hotel was very clean and classically decorated. The room was large and the bathroom was like new. The bed was really wide and comfortable. The breakfast was very sufficient and varied, although not as wide a selection of dishes as in big hotels. The location of the hotel on the hill suited us, because we liked to walk a lot to both the old town and Kasjuni beach. Both can be warmly recommended

This hotel has free parking. The old lady will give you the choice of making breakfast. The hotel fruit is very fresh. The handsome guy at the front desk is very serious and enthusiastic. There is a warm feeling of home.

Location is near Old Town and Diocletians Palace. Rooms are large and bathrooms are great. Beds are comfortable. Staff are lovely. Only down side was a horrible smell of sewerage coming into the bathoom. We had to change rooms due to it, then in the next room, leave the exhaust fan on constantly. Staff say it happens when wind is blowing.

Despite everything, the hotel is located in a central area, which makes it easy to visit the city.

I was here for a long weekend and the hotel had everything I needed. The rooms were big, bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet although I was off peak. Breakfast had plenty of variety to choose from. Staff were very helpful.

We were very happy to be upgraded to the double suite. Very spacious for three of us. But the layout is a bit strange, probably converted from a residential property. The rooftop is a real plus surprise - the view is fantastic, the pool is so cool. Plus it also has sauna, gym and a jacuzzi - very comprehensive for such a boutique hotel.

It's a little far from the beach, but the price/performance ratio is very high. The hotel facilities are very clean and spacious. I am generally satisfied

Very nice hotel 20 minutes walk from the old town. It's strange to find an establishment of this quality in such an ugly area. It's not serious, but it's surprising at first. The guesthouse has very basic facilities; you have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself, and they don't offer any assistance.

For a 4-star hotel, the facilities and food are lacking. This is the first time I've seen a place without a coffee machine. Just put frozen coffee in hot water. Free parking. No height restrictions.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. We stayed one night on Sept 26-27 with group of bikers. We liked the amenities and staff was very helpful. We were also happy that there was secure parking for our motorcycles. We recommend the hotel to anyone. We didn’t have dinner there, but there is nice terrace to hove drinks next door.

This is a small hotel - but has everything you need to enjoy a stay. The bar is small and cozy and the rooms spacious - but be aware - no coffee station!

I recently stayed at Hotel Corner in Split and overall had an amazing experience. The hotel is located just a short walk from the Old Town and Diocletian’s Palace, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

Classic European hotel stop. Glad my kids got to experience staying in a place like this. Walk down the steps and you are in town next to shops, cafes and the Marina is right around the corner.

My friend and I stayed while we were visiting Split. It is located centrally and was less than a 5 minute walk from all the major view points. Check-in was very easy and the staff were very flexible with luggage storage on the day of check-out.

We had the room up in the attic. The receptionist guy was very helpful showed the code to get into the building (will also have it printed on your receipt of your city tax payment). He made sure the boiler for hot water was on and also the air conditioning. Very nice amenities provided, body wash, vanity kit and body wash and the place was very clean. The Villa was perfect for two people very clean the hosts were very easy to deal with. There was a lot of restaurants, shopping and tour companies to choose from all within walking distance. Our host went above and beyond to arrange a town car to take us to the airport On a side note do not use taxis in Split they are extremely expensive and not very honest.

In a great location in the old town a short walkable distance to Diocletian's Palace.and ferry terminals. Many dining options nearby and grocery stores if you want to eat in. However, the hotplate in the top floor unit we stayed in did not work and there was no microwave oven thus limiting our choices. If not for this, I would have given a 4 star overall rating.

The room was tiny and the WiFi almost nonexistent. The church bells started ringing at 6 am. Still it was the perplace to stay since it was in the heart of old town.

Our stay in Split old town We loved the hotel location and the staff. It is however very difficult if travelling by car and suit case. Parking is far and many steps to climb with the suitcase. It would have been a total disaster not for the help of staff specifically Ivana.

I have been charged 23.16 euros in taxes and/or fees when the reservation says that I only have to pay 7.98 euros in municipal tax at the establishment. I request a refund of the difference of 15.18 euros that I have paid by depositing it on the same card that the reservation was charged on. A comfortable place to enjoy a relaxing vacation not far from the centre of town. Easy access by bus or ride share. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. Facilities are modern enough for the prices they charge. Nice plus is having a beach across the street. I had the ocean front apartment with a large balcony and terrific view! Would recommend it.

This hotel was fantastic and our favorite one of our entire trip to Croatia. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was amazing!! They greated us at our arrival with a cherry liquor and even gave us a cell phone with their reception phone number preprogrammed so we could reach them 24/7 if needed. Splendida was a fabulous hotel in the heart of Split. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay an excellent experience. Excellent location in the city center. You have to park outside, but there was a parking garage about 300 meters away for €24 per day. Spacious and very nice rooms. The bathroom was very good. The hotel is on the second and third floors, but there is an elevator.

The location isn't the best, but everything else is perfect.

When using navigation to get to the hotel, be sure to find the right route. The first time we used Waze, it almost led us to a church; the path was probably no more than 2 meters wide, and there was nowhere to turn around, so we had to back up. We only found the hotel parking lot the second time using Google Maps. The breakfast was plentiful, great!

I stayed in a triple room. The location is about a 20-minute walk from the old town. There's a gym, and quite a few active people were working out. The breakfast menu was a bit disappointing.
