Imposing building approached through a gateway holding the reception office. Friendly receptionist on first arrival spoke good English, the staff on departure was not so customer friendly. The hotel is in a good location. Journey time to the center by public transport is about 30 minutes . Buses to the subway leave frequently from the hotel. Very inconvenient location if you are without a car. The tram stop (the last stop on the 14th) you need to walk about 15 minutes through the Park and houses. Or bus to the metro. The rooms are large but very dirty and old carpet, Breakfast is traditional European with no frills.

The hotel is nice and cozy. However, after 23.00 it's impossible to eat: the bar is closed, restaurant is closed. The nearest restaurant Pushkin(1 km away) but it works to 00.00 - had to order pizzagohome. Liked PTS. If you order elsewhere you need to watch the coverage of delivery.

Simple but very good Cozy accomodations, easy to access via bus and the owner is very helpful. He also has a coin/currency collection, so I recommend bringing your home country currency as a simple gift!

Directly opposite the Astronomical Clock tower, if there's free breakfast, it's at the Mozart Café on the second floor, with a view of the Astronomical Clock from the window. Not all rooms offer a view of the clock; if you want to see it from your window, book the most expensive room. However, booking a standard room is well worth it and highly recommended.

Very satisfied with our 4-day stay at the Hotel AXA. We had a spacious room with a great view of the skyline and all amenities were just fine. Because of the time of year, our room was neither too warm nor too cold. Housekeeping and Breakfast Service were also great. From the hotel’s location it was easy to go exploring, either on foot or by tram.

Very nice hotel at a convenient location next to train stations. Breakfast is great with some local cuisines. We went in January and the only problem was that the heating of the room is too good it was hot sometimes. We had to turn all the heating to the lowest but it was still too hot sometimes.

The room was very unique. It was long and spacious with an excellent view! The lights in the bathroom were motion activated so I got caught in the dark at times. The hotel is very strict about noise pollution after 10pm. My room was actually next door to an actual resident of the building.
