The hotel occupies an eighteenth century building in the main pedestrian zone of Karlovy vary and few steps from Tepla river. In 1748 in the heart of Karlovy vary appeared luxurious resort house with stone portal, above which shone the gilded relief depicting Queen Maria Theresa. He proudly carried the name of "Beautiful Queen". A high level of comfort and a cozy atmosphere make the hotel a family-type hotel. The first-class restaurants serves Italian and international cuisine.

Excellent location, in a very beautiful part of Karlovy Vary, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Everything OK. Bed comfort: good. Room with nice good furniture in wood, with a table/desk making it suitable for work with a PC if you need to do so.

We chose this hotel since it was offered at a good price on ******* and had mostly positive reviews.
We arrived about ten minutes early from the check-in time and the person at the front desk immediately gave us the keys, which we appreciated. However, when we entered the room, it was completely not ready for guests: the bed linen was crumpled up and scattered across the floor, the room appeared extremely messy and very unclean.
What was the most upsetting part was discovering visible urine stains on the mattresses and a strange bad smell coming from the sofa. This was truly disgusting. I recorded a video of the condition of the room:

We immediately went back to the front desk and reported this to the manager. He did not apologize and simply told us we would have to wait for the room to be cleaned because they had no other rooms available.
While we're sitting near our room, very disappointed and unsure what to do, we overhear the manager instructing the housekeeping staff to clean our room. The maids then began complaining loudly and swearing, blaming the manager for poor planning and the guests for not wanting to wait. This continued even after they reached our floor.
After that we moved to other hotel. Sadly our reservation was non refundable.

Hotel's location is good, within 10mins walk, you can arrive hot spring, also shopping area.
Our room is good, but the bathroom exhaust fan is a bit noisy, after we turned off the light in bathroom, the fan still not turn off, making noisy for 5mins, breakfast is good, under bed sheet we saw a bit of dirty mark.
Overall, it was àclean enough for one night and breakfast included, we paid around Au$110 on 22Dec -23Dec, it's good deal.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area and our room on the 3rd floor was clean and the bed comfortable. However, the room was quite cold as no sunlight came in. Breakfast was average, always the same food, and the only dessert was not really suitable (there were many flies on it). The biggest issue happened one night when our keys stopped working and we couldn’t enter the room from 10 PM until almost midnight. Nobody was at the reception, the phone number was switched off, and we were stuck with small children. Eventually, we managed to open the door ourselves, but the next day we were just told that the spare key was “under the desk at the reception” – something nobody had informed us about. On the last day, when we left the room 30 minutes late due to kids, the receptionist was very unfriendly and dismissive, even after we apologized. When I mentioned our midnight problem, she only said, “I also need to sleep.” For the price we paid, this kind of service is really disappointing. The hotel has potential, but unfortunately, due to the poor attitude at the reception, we will not return.

The personal at the reception was very horrible!! I have never been treated so badly as this time!! If u wanna have a parking place there u have to say it in advance even though it’s not mentioned anywhere…. The address is given totally wrong to the reality…..because the hotel is located on the pedestrian side and no cars are allowed to go there which is logical, so just ask extra for the address on the opposite side of the hotel …. Location of the hotel is really good of course because it’s right in the center…. But believe it or not I will never go to this hotel again just because of so arrogant and aggressive pesonal who is working at the front desk there…

Good value and great location
Location is great, price is great. Hotel is dated but we spent most of the day outside anyway. Breakfast has some average choices, good enough to start your day. Karlovy Vary is small so it is walking distance to all turist spots (Thermal pool, Becherovka, Vřídlo….. ) It is about 40 mins walk from KV train station. I stayed in this hotel 4 times and will stay there again

I absolutely loved my stay and my room at this property. I stayed in a single room, on a higher floor overlooking the promenade. The chandeliers, the high ceilings, the vintage furnishings... made me feel as though I was living in a different era. Bathroom was large and modern, water pressure good. And the towel warming rack worked!

The included breakfast offered a decent variety of hot and cold, and the dining room was elegant.

Staff were very accommodating and kind.

Location was perfect. And only a 5-minute walk from where the bus #2 drops you.

I stayed for 2 nights, and was provided with housekeeping service which was appreciated.

The only downside was my mattress wasn't comfortable....almost like I was sleeping on an angle. But I was able to fall asleep. As well, the people above were rather noisy on night #1.

Thank you for a memorable stay.

TIP: restaurants will be cheaper in the northern part of town, near the bus stations.

TIP: the tourist info centre is located in Spa 1. It was hard to find, as trucks and banners were blocking the 'i' (for information) sign.

We were there at the end of December. Company of 7 people. We occupied 4 rooms: a family room, two double rooms and a single room. The common problem in all rooms is worn-out furniture upholstery, lack of furniture handles, shabby carpets and, with the exception of the single room, moving beds, difficult-to-work plumbing. Cracks in the walls and ceilings were clumsily hidden by imitation Italian plaster. Hardly working TV channels. Open doors of utility rooms with torn off electronic locks, minimal staff for the entire hotel. A kind of modest breakfast. Minimalism of personal hygiene products. In a number of rooms, crystal chandeliers and sconces were found to have inappropriately replaced pendants. Well, no way, it doesn’t qualify as a “4”. What saves the "3" is the location of the hotel and respect for the historical past of the building.

Charming hotel at excellent location,near the river and hot springs. Enjoyed good breakfast with the view from the bar. Room was big enough and was clean and tidy as expected. Friendly and helpful staff at reception,made me feel welcome. Great stay in for a good value.
