I reserved the hotel from November 17th to November 22nd. They didn’t have my room, but they gave me a free upgrade! The hotel has everything you need — a restaurant, a pool

Room was clean, staff polite and the best part was the Terrace /Pool/ Bar!! My family really enjoyed. Waitress did an extraordinary service, specially Ms. Iris.

But the ac has only three settings, all of them ice cold, the bathroom fan is super loud, the music by the pool terrace is super loud and there is very little soundproofing. Quite old and a bit worn down

However, over the weekend parties for locals at the pool run late and a night club on the ground floor even later

Very helpful staff and nice servers at the Terrace. The pool is nice and the terrace has a nice view

Clean and comfortable for the price. Free breakfast included: fresh juice, coffee, eggs with ham and toast. Nice pool area, accessible through the kitchen. Recently raised the rate to $1900 PD

The hotel is nice simple but it has what you need a warm ved and p ace and quiet its definitely for travelers that want to spend a nigh or two close to the colonial zone at a affordable rate the hot water was good and the AC was very strong it’s perfect for backpackers and explorer with a budget a place to sleep while there exploring the city

Its wasn't a good experience with the hotel its was a dirty room the shower wasn't cleaned dirty sheet and the was not the i was expected

I have been there many times, on occasion staying when ill to attend medical appointments and the staff is always very helpful with bringing me food or cleaning the room quietly as I rest

Right on Avenida Bolivar near Parque Independecia/Telemicro. Can be quite noisy with barking dogs, street noise and construction but this is normal for this part of town

They need to clean the room every day, they don´t do it the bathroom was dirty the breakfast is ok I will try not to go back to this hotel

Everyone at this resort treated us with the utmost respect. We enjoyed it so much that we became members. So very glad thatvwe did as the upgraded restaurants were fantastic

This was a wonderful experience, being treated like a VIP was new to me. There were a few fixes w/Room, however they were taken care of quickly

Wellington & Xiomara Wellington is the young man who assists Mrs Xiomara, Mrs Xiomara is my favorite housekeeping friend because she always make sure that my room is kept clean, when I need her to clean the room she always tell me to give her a few seconds then she will come, on the other hand Wellington would start bringing all the necessary things to clean the room before Mrs Xiomara come to clean...

When I first came to the hotel I was greeted by the most amazing person in the world, Jennifer is one of the most amazing people that you have ever seen

Allow early check in if room is available. We arrived early but were not allowed to check in until exactly 3pm. They could be a little more lenient. Weary traveler just wanted to get to the room and rest.

The staff is very helpful, from the parking, the front desk, the restaurant. The room is small but clean, enough for me and my wife

Moises When it comes to ordering my food from the restaurant, oh my gosh! Moises Is like the next superman that lives on earth, I really don't know how he does it but he is on time, no matter what he is doing he always comes and checks to see if I am okay, this guy really is an amazing person

It is incredible to see so much kindness in all its employees. This hotel is very familiar and they care a lot about the guests to give them the best of themselves. Without a doubt, I would stay again.

we stayed two nights, we enjoyed it. perfect location for if you want to be close to the city and explore. they offer free breakfast, room has ac & a fridge stocked with water

there was always security outside the entrance. would recommend this hotel to stay when exploring santo domingo

So good we came back the same week to be able to work on our project. The room on the third floor did not have as fast internet service as the 4th floor

The elevator stopped working, but they got it working the next day. Room had a great shade to keep street light out at night. But the best: the super fast internet so we could work on zoom without stress

Pool hours should be extended to at least 9:00 pm

It's our second stay in the property and we loved every second of it. Stuff is always ready to help with a genuine smile on their faces.

Such a beautiful gorgeous and tropical place to enjoy with family and friends safe and fun.

I did wish there was greater entertainment that didn’t include guest and something included for the kids to get them out of the sun… like a game room that was not for money

The buffets were good, had themes and good variety. Some of the restaurants that didn't need reservations had long waits.

we love to hear more local music in the resort ( merengue , bachata ) around the beach and the swimming pool. No night entertainment, either

Enjoyed our stay immensely! This is a quieter resort perfect for families and people looking to relax. If you’re expecting nightlife this is NOT the resort for you. They try but the shows are lame

due to the pandemic situation the occupancy rate was 30%, so there were plenty free sunbeds on both the beach and the pool

The weather was FANTASTIC, the beach is beautiful, and the pools are very warm. The only complaint I’d have is that the only decent coffee was from an espresso machine in the lobby that didn’t open until 9:00am

The main buffet was good (most food was tasty and not very repetitive) and the bars served a good selection of drinks. The hotel doesn't have a single normal espresso machine so espresso, latte, cappuccino etc

At 6am the food came in the form of pan, ham, cheese, sweets, fruits etc. The pool is ok but has no swim in bar. Did not matter for us as we hardly used the pool at all. Beach was the biggest disappointment

Join into every interactive activity you can. So much fun! We also enjoyed the nightly shows. Classes inside are also decent. The pool is good and the beach nice. Unfortunately, not enough chairs at either so go early

Food was fine/ok at the buffet. My favorite was the local Dominican food served like their rice, beans, platanos etc. Best to grab freshly made foods at the chef stations like omeletes, meats, churros

I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting DR and I hope to stay here again on my next trip!

I've been to Punta Cana several times at a different property that has closed down so this is in comparison to that. The property is small but well kept. Grounds are very nice with great wildlife

The staff truely made the trip incredible. All of the staff including Ninosca were super helpful and did everything they could to make our trip enjoyable.

The resort has met all our expectations, well equipped for several different activities, an amazing beach, pools and restaurants

New garden is a popular Hotel for Sousa. Restaurant and swimming pool available here. I recommend this hotel for single men, couples who are open minded. This is definitely not a family structured hotel

Only 2 things I will recommend to change: allow guests to change AC temperature in the room since for us it was too cold; Quality of soap - it wasn’t good - ran out after 1 shower

The place feels very safe and is very close to the center and the beach. Good WiFi and reliable hot water. The check-in process is a bit too manual and could be better automated

Well run, well maintained small hotel in an excellent location, easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and the downtown area. But, not so close to the main drag that you hear all of the loud motos and ATVs

She made sure we knew where all the amenities were and was very sweet and sincere. There is also a pool, which isn't the biggest but very private and is open at all hours

The rooms are well appointed & have everything you need, there are a total of 10 rooms? This place is good for those seeking a quiet Yoga like setting. Lots of vegetation, nice pool area

There's no beach (like no sand) but many swimming pools and direct access to the sea with clear water. Unfortunately the place doesn't have a gym which is really a shame. There is a spa available with massages only

We truly enjoyed both the pool and the beach right in front of the club. Towels are provided, and there are lifeguards on duty, which made us feel very safe and well taken care of

Amazing place to stay! The waterfront area is so beautiful with all of the infinity pools and there’s plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The rooms were clean and had a huge balcony (3 bedroom penthouse)

Negative - this is not a hotel that has 24 concierge, no restaurants open after 9pm, I felt horrible because I booked it same day and staff had to come back and get us situated, (staff was awesome)

From the pool, cigar lounge, restaurant, and dining under the moonlight to the live music and DJ provided. All I have to say is it was all the way live

Room wasn't cleaned before I arrived. The toilet was bone dry and did not work. I have stomach issues from the food I ate there. Seems like old food was served. I will not be back.

Nice place, but the casino has been closed for over 2 years. If you are going to party then it's your place. There's night clubs on each side of the hotel. If you are going and want to sleep, then it's not for you

Nice experience. Close to different touristic places. Clean rooms, and a variety of food in the breakfast buffet. The service was also kind and friendly. The casino is under reconstruction, but I'm not into it.

The check-in was very simple, the staff was great and the traditional Dominican breakfast is a very good perk.

Noise: The hotel has a nightclub on site, which makes it very noisy at night. The music from the club and the sound of guests walking and talking in the hallways continued well into the early hours

Unfortunately, the rooms were in bad condition—shower doors falling, water leaking from the ceiling, and poor internet connection

The property really needs a full renovation, most of the pools are in bad conditions. The estructures look old and out of maintenance. Food is good. Staff was nice.

The hotel is fine and quiet. The room was adequate. The pool is a plus; it's appreciated on these hot days.

While the mosquitos in the rooms were tiny uninvited guests 🦟, a repellent needs to be installed. The pools and gym were a bonus 🏊‍♀️ Breakfast timing is not adhered to and perhaps a refresher course for some staff

Very good people own and operate this very fine and hidden gem of a hotel. I would rather stay here than any Sheraton or Holiday inn. I highly recommend this hotel.

I like that the hotel is super quiet and the staff is friendly. But I went with my husband in the second floor to dine in the restaurant and the dinner took forever to come

After it arrived instead of eating there we take it to the room but at least it worth the wait ‘cause it was delicious. I would like to come back again

If you stain the towels, they are nice & you'll have to pay for them, they're not cheap. I didn't like it but they the manager was so nice i hasn't mad

The warm welcome of the front desk , follow by a beautiful stunning suite, very clean ,sheets and towels had a fresh clean smell, i went for one night and decided to stay another one , fell in love with this place, thank you to all the staff , definitely will be back soon

It was the best part of our trip, we felt so welcome, the staff at the desk, the huge smile of the doorman, the managers and the ladies in the breakfast area, the pool was clean even after rainy days, we would love to go back next year

They have a full kitchen, so you’re able to cook your own meals. Otherwise, right outside you have local restaurants that offer fresh fish.

Also, no hot water! We had to turn on and off the shower constantly to get hot water for a bath. Asked for a credit at the front desk for this and I was told that they were so sorry, but no credit

Toilet tissue and hand soap provided Cons: No paper towels or dish soap provided so you definitely have to purchase. Stove didnt really work great. Definitely buy water as you will only get a couple at check in

Literally go right across to the beach for the complimentary breakfast. The pool looked beautiful ( but we did not get a chance to get in). And porch had a fan that helped with mosquitoes

Sadly one soda was already open when we checked in. The fridge is a bit dated and rusted. There are pots and pans but not ideal for longer stays if you an on actually cooking. Just not enough to be functional

Two bathrooms is always a plus!!! And they bidet and Hot Water ( this is a serious plus) were excellent. The beds were comfortable as well. The location is impeccable, right on the playa bonita strip

Very good location to explore the Colonial area. Close to the park, entrance of the Conde. All the essentials are there. Roof top pool and roof top breakfast are very nice

Central location to go everywhere, we had a room with inner view, no street facing, which made it very quiet. We had a cold water dispenser just outside the room which was very useful and convenient

It is close to everything you need. Stores, restaurants, bars and pharmacies. The only issue I had was the lights in my room did not work. Other than that everything else was good.

One window faces inside of the house corridor the 2nd window is in toilet facing the outside. Both staff at reception very friendly especially the night shift guy who helped to solve the air con and fan problem
