There were plenty of chairs, but umbrellas became a Hunger Games situation as there was one umbrella for every 10-15 chairs (versus one umbrella for every two chairs by the pool)

Probably the best hotel/resort gym I’ve ever seen. If I had one recommendation, it would be to add more umbrellas on the beach

Shout out to Areilles at the pool and Ramon at the Italian restaurant. Everyone is nice but they are next level. Room 5 People 5 Food 4 Landscape 5

Amazing time at this beautiful all-inclusive resort. Right on the beach, clean pools, and endless food options. Staff were so welcoming and friendly ready to help any way they can

Been in the resort in the past, however this time it was not as great as before. The pools were cold, staff in the family side of the hotel were not as friendly/polite as in the adult side.

Bloved was our favorite dining establishment i the whole resort. I discovered some delicious Dominican food, as well as some familiar dishes. The staff are all happy, kind and very accommodating

They have lots of fun things to do- and it is also a great place to relax! The beach was absolutely beautiful. This was our first trip down south and certainly did not disappoint! We would 100% come back here again!

A couple of issues but were made up for other people. The happiness, Coordinator Hanzel was incredible. Him and his team made our stay 10 times better than it would’ve been without them

the adult pool closest to the lobby is packed. By the time i walked to breakfast at 715, 90% all the chairs were taken. They do a lot of activities during the day there and that bar was pretty good

She snuck in and left my husband extra beers in the frig, would empty the garbage regularly throughout the day, turn down service plus she had flowers decorating the room for me!! I had a great nap in the patio in my hammock

I loved the beach, although the waves are huge, so people need to be careful, especially with kids. Overall, I had a great experience at this resort, with a great price and excellent service

The room was not up to standars, bathroom in bad conditions, paint poor, balcony doors in very bad shape, AC was too cool or off, Bar was good, Staff was very good, food was not excellent, was there but not good, the new year's banquet was excelent

absolute beautiful location right on the Gulf with ocean view rooms available and less expensive rooms a 1 minute walk from beach. A beautiful well maintained pool. Every afternoon they hold the events by the pool

The beach is beautiful, the pool is great, the staff are amazing, but the rooms we had (yes, we had to switch rooms more than once) were not great (think leaking AC and water coming out of bathroom pot lights; part of the ceiling came down in our first room) and the food wasn’t that good

the service was awesome, everyone was nice and helpful. The buffet was okay, the meats were mostly too salty and overcooked. Omelette station was great! Wish you had a heated whirlpool. We had a pleasant stay overall.

The best thing we did was Parasailing as an excursion and it was all smooth and easy to do. They have members around the complex ready to show you any excursion available and they are worth it

We got our Deluxe Room which was worth it as it brings a Hot Tub and the balcony is spaced out

The food was delicious on all restaurants offered and they did provide a variety but you could also find similarities from the other buffets so you won’t have to walk far

It would be great to have a good coffee shoppe on the property but at least you can walk to the other Princess resort and get that. You can even bood dinners at other Princess resorts nearby

I saw good reviews on this resort and decided to try it out. This resort was better than I expected. It was very open and beautiful coming into the lobby. Our concierge was very attentive of our needs

All in all the room, view, beach, location, and staff were great. Oh, please tip your staff well, they work really hard! The weather was amazing as well

We had so many great experiences while we were there, from karaoke and singing, to the pools and beach, to the restaurants and quality staff. Never had a negative encounter, not once

Kayla took care of our cabana daily, making sure we were stocked with beach towels and our cabana and items were safe and watched over

The castle has its own pool, which is nice, but rude guests reserve chairs all day without using them, limiting seating. This problem exists at other pools and the beach

there is no reason to go to an all-inclusive and not experience the very best, and the staff here will take the very best care of you! Yes, tipping is appreciated by them and when they go above and beyond, they deserve it

awesome activities coordinator, along with Maria! Luis Mario, Ismael, and Omar were the most amazing wait staff for our days on the beach. Get by the beach and you will never get up to get a drink while you're there

these guys are great! Alejandro and Riccardo at the Wok restaurant, this was our favorite and we were able to get in twice! Amazing service, amazing food, and the reason we slept so well with full bellies

The beach was across the street but the path was private and wasn't inconvenient at all, and the poolside was perfectly fine as well

But then he made it pretty clear that I owed him a drink in return, I ended up being whisked to some bar 10 minutes away and bought him and his friend a round of drinks for an absurd price, then ended up giving him even more money after he complained he can't afford diapers for his kids at what the resort pays

After directly saying I'm not at all interested whatasoever, I got glared at by them for the rest of the stay. The Ugly - There is no ATM in the resort, so I had to walk two blocks in town to go to a bank

The Good - the resort is well-kept, the food was fine, the drinks flowed, and they had plenty of activities for those into that. The room was well air conditioned and the wifi was pricey but stable

We didn't have hot water for the shower so much as slightly tepid water. We had dysentery for a few days, we stopped using the tap water to brush our teeth which may have been the culprit

He kept offering me cocaine and prostitutes which I politely declined. By the end of it I had to go back to the ATM again! So maybe the resort should consider installing an ATM

The beach cabanas are excellent, service and food was great, and concierge service was top-notch. The chicken burgers by the pool bar/cabanas run by miguel were incredible

Johnny Solano was the most amazing host. He made our stay absolutely great. They have 4 pickle ball courts. He got us the equipment to use when everyone else, didn't have a clue as to what we were wanting to play

The hotel didn't really explain the difference between a standard stay and paying for the Diamond club stay. I only caught the pool side cabana on the website

The foam parties were extremely fun and we enjoyed all the food especially the Indian restaurant and the steakhouse. We were there during an excessive heat warning and it was very hot but the pools and bars kept us cool

Which was to be reserved and additional charge and that didn't seem worth the cost and after being there I felt I made the right choice. Pool had plenty of lounges and so did the beach

Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and always ready to serve you. Rudy was the best! Huge variety of drinks. And beach is awesome! Steak house was so good. Definitely would go back.

It's a good budget all inclusive, especially if you get access to the VIP area (which I believe came with a junior suite). The buffer food is okay, but the reserved restaurants were pretty good

We had a great time here! Ok, admittedly the sales pitch was annoying. But after those 90 minutes, we had great service, good food, so much fun on the beach and pools!

No comp was provided and a champagne was offered

For the rest of the location, I’d suggest a better menu which I did like Dominican night, better room checks before entering the next guest, heated showers, cooler room temperatures, better check in process, better transportation as many workers going around in golf carts they could give a ride to someone unless of course if they’re busy that’s understood but some where parked and talking

The toilets didn’t even flush well. The room, you can say was like a sauna, due to how warm the room was. During the night, the light went out 3 times in the whole building, even while I was taking a shower

When I finally arrived at the room, my refrigerator was not stocked, there were flies in my room, and the water did not want to heat up. I had to take a cold shower during my stay at this location

This resort was beautiful and had lots to do. Children are allowed, there’s a kids area and even a teen hang out. There are multiple pools and a beach

They each had a balcony, and really could have been great, but cleanliness could be greatly improved. I had to change rooms twice—first due to the AC not working, then because the balcony door wouldn’t lock

I wouldn’t consider this a party resort; it’s more geared toward families and low-key fun. Definitely check out the beach bar—John and Gerson are fantastic bartenders, very friendly and entertaining

During the day, there’s a buffet snack bar, coffee shop, and icecream bar available, plus a sports bar that’s open 24/7. In the evenings, the lobby has entertainment, including shows and a DJ

Neither of those issues were my fault and it seem like a bother or hassle for them to swap my room. Overall, it’s a lovely resort with great amenities, and a relaxing atmosphere

On the positive side, they did upgrade me to a larger room, which I appreciated. I did feel like some of the front desk staff was not very friendly or accommodating

The Jacuzzi in the room is also fantastic, a great way to unwind after a long day. The pool is nice too, but unfortunately I didn't have time to swim

Compared to other hotels, the price-performance ratio is quite good. Aside from the constant knocking on the door and the average breakfast, everything else is fine.

The room is spacious, and the area near the entrance is very quiet. The environment is pleasant, and you can often hear birds chirping. We encountered a thunderstorm, but the sun came out again

I loved this hotel, but the platform charged me a hefty fee, $30 more than booking directly with the hotel. Please be aware of this.

Overall, the hotel left a good impression, The room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel has a great pool and spa. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

The shows on the stage are super fun and the pool staff and games are awesome :) lisselotte was my favourite staff member! She is super fun and brings up the energy for everyone! The beach bar is fun at night and they have snack bar open if you need

Great part of the hotel. Nice employee and great atmosphere. Calm and relaxing holiday you will have for sure. And if you like business and entertainment you walk 2 min to the other pool and you can enjoy that

Checked in to The Grand Paradise on Saturday and I absolutely love it here. It is beyond beautiful and the service at Cooee is amazing. Everyone here really goes the extra mile to make you happy, I never want leave.

The new name of this property is unknown or if it will run as a resort. This is what every one who would like to return to the Grand Paradise Playa Dorada would like to know once this information is disclosed

People need trip advisor to let them know this resort is closed. And has been sold by Amasha Marina and is currently being renovated by its new owners Hopdela. They as well own and operate Emotions

Out dated. Food poor to average. Pools are nice. Pool towel system needs to be changed. Lack of drink one is able to bring back to room is very lacking if non existent.

The property was gorgeous and lots to do and animations for the kids. The Santa coming on a boat to the resort and handing gifts to every single children was a nice touch. Friendly staff and all multilingual

It was a Perfect vacation, the staff was incredible nice. The entertainment was always on point. The restaurant had a lot of different choices and was always good. The rooms were clean and the bed was good

The palace hotel or the beach hotel will meet all your expectations! The wedding was exactly what I wanted and the resorts themselves will always have something for you to do and enjoy of during the day

Great food, good drinks, and great entertainments. On top of all that are the pool and beach areas. I'd recommend this as a very family-friendly hotel complex with helpful, friendly staff.

We had the elite club swim up suite. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Being elite, we had excellent service and food options. The elite pool and bar service is so worth the extra charge

The only thing that was disappointing was I had to keep telling reception that my drinks were not replenished instead of 2 days it was more like 3 or 4

Our stay at JOIA Bávaro was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our entire stay

The entertainment staff Dai, Pikachu, snoop Dogg, black mamba were so much fun and engaged guests in all different pool side games and evening activities

When in Santiago de los Caballeros this is my home, Gran Almirante Hodelpa Hotel. Staff in the entire complex are 5 stars service. Highly recommend this place will Be there soon again

There are also almost always activities going on around the pool and at the beach which are super fun, you’ll never be bored, and the shows at night are interactive and very impressive

Fabulous resort. Staff are wonderful, Food is very good, Resort is beautiful, not too big. Rooms are nice and clean.

The rooms are standard and clean, no issues with the AC or water. The best thing about this resort was the staff. Timéo and Esther in specific were so kind to us and really made the trip so much better

There is also a disco tech open from 11pm-2am which makes for amazing night life at the resort. The drinks, juices and frozen cocktails are lacking in quality but there are a good amount of options

The beach is soooo beautiful and extends for many kilometres so you can take nice long walks. The only unfortunate thing about the beach is that there are no umbrellas for shade, only palm trees

We had an absolutely beautiful stay at Bahia Principe Grand Samaná. Our room (220) overlooked the bay, and with my binoculars — once I learned where to look — I could see whales breaching in the distance

This place has a live show with wonderful singers and a pianist. It's perfect way to end the night in the lobby. The food was delicious every day with great variety and fresh flavors

The beach is small and intimate, perfect for relaxing without big crowds. The property is simply gorgeous, walkable — peaceful, scenic, and immaculately maintained

No bar or bathroom on the beach. Everywhere you heading you fighting flights of stairs. Only one bar is opened at the pool during the day and lobby at night

Also girl at the front desk with the pretty head band that checked us in an out and her tall counterpart I believe his name was Fernando also the porter that took our stuff up, y Medina in the parking lot that help me find my phone I dropped in the driveway came back an hour later and he found it for me — you all made us feel welcomed and cared for

The staff is out of this world - other then a barmaid at the pool the employees are outstanding. The rooms are large and cleaned well. The beach - small and private

Next day came back from beach to shower and only had one towel. I do plan on returning next year. I enjoyed seeing Soto around the bar. He was always singing and picking up glasses and straightening up chairs

Everything about our stay at Playabachata was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding — the staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile

I loved it here. The staff was great, every room had a balcony, the buffet had enough variety. Plenty of bars during the day and entertainment at night.
