Don’t have high expectations, it is a simple hotel and far from all inclusive Mexican hotels , the beach isn’t great, the room was smelly. The food was ok. I do not recommended if you are looking for a nice beach and hang out there since there is no beach service neither a place to hang out there. This was one of the loveliest beach properties I have ever stayed and feels like a private island once you are on property. Objectively speaking, I don't recommend it. There is a ** downstairs, which is quite noisy. There is indeed no hot water for bathing, and the facilities are relatively old. However, the swimming pool is very beautiful, and the hamburgers made by the restaurant in the swimming pool are also very delicious. If you bring children, I don't recommend staying here.

Hotel in a large complex right in front of Bavaro beach. The facilities are good, although compared to other hotels I miss an infinity pool. What I liked least was the quality of the food, worse than expected, and the service a bit slow. For several days they did not refill the minibar.

The historic Colonial Zone hotel has a great staff, Quirico & Barbara, to name a few, but they were all very kind and professional. Their amenities and rooms were excellent and clean. But the best part is that you just have to walk three short blocks to right from the front of the hotel, and two blocks up and you will be smack in the middle of Parque Cristóbal!

Great staff, Miguel was awesome. Across from the beach. Near restaurants and convenience store. The room had a fridge and stove. Kitchen and furniture need an update ASAP. Also need to enforce rules at the pool. When locals arrive there’s no more peace and quiet, they take glass bottles to the pool putting in danger everybody else. They also turn on loud speakers with no regard to other guests.

The location is perfect, the service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was phenomenal. But I don't recommend the beds; my back is still sore from how hard they were. But afterward, everything was great. We just couldn't rest.

Rooms work but they can definitely be better, for the same price you can find better options near the location. Service is good and location is honestly priceless. Food is great, but pool should be cleaned more often, it always had lots of debris, insects and dirtiness, it had a strong chlorine smell.

The hotel itself is solid but nothing extraordinary. Yet the exceptional service—coupled with the staff's genuine eagerness to make every guest feel truly at ease—rivals or even outshines that of a five-star resort. That's reason enough for me to book my next stay there without hesitation.

I stayed at the Alandino during a short trip to Santo Domingo. The room was very nicely done and the bed was very comfortable. The outdoor cafe/bar is cigar friendly so smoke it if you've got it. Make sure to have a Presidente while your there.

When it comes to comfort, save and enjoy, I am present there and on this occasion they suggested this hotel and it really was an excellent choice. perfect 15 minutes from the airport and all the restaurants are in the center of 4-8 minutes

The location is very centric. Is a very good option for business and staying the night in Santo Domingo. They served superb Dominican traditional breakfast and staff was very helpful. The checkout is at 1pm which is a huge differenciator in this market. It's an excellent option!

The rooms need some TLC… the mattresses can be updated as make lots of noise when you move . Other than that having breakfast by the River is priceless!!!

When you arrive, the grounds are really something. Beautiful planting, gorgeous setting on the river. Let down by surly staff and, for us, a tired room with a damp bathroom and dodgy shower and an old matress. The gardens and river are lovely but the staff were unhelpful and uninterested.
