Reviews
Hector at the lobby bar (el palmeral) was a force on his own! He worked non-stop, made excellent drinks, was as friendly as they come and made sure you knew he remembered you and your drinks. Including the kids. Probably the best bartender I’ve had at any resort.
Israel at the buffet was another awesome server. Again, incredibly friendly and hardworking. Made sure you got everything you needed asap and did so without issue.
José at the steakhouse was fantastic. Worked non-stop, super polite and friendly and made our kid smile to no end.
And Sonia, our room staff, was an absolute sweetheart. Rooms were spotless, she always greeted us with a smile and was just as friendly as the day was long. All the staff we dealt with were exceptional and really made the trip that much better, but those staff were ones who really stood out!
We’ll be coming back to this resort for sure.
The resort complex is stunning, with gorgeous tropical grounds, and a breathtaking sandy beach with crystal-clear turquoise water. Every day felt like paradise and unforgettable memories we will cherish for a lifetime! Whether the case may be relaxing by the ocean or enjoying the pool!
5/5 - AMAZING!
Food was decent, lot of selection, rotation of dishes was well done.
The little shops have outrageous prices but they have stuff if you really need so it is still a plus. We rented a small cart for our toddler from on shop and it ended up being a great move considering days under the sun and the walks was a bit much for him being superexcited all day.
We had a great time, the beach area and the pool area offered the chance to enjoy either the calm and sun exposure of the pool and the shade and breeze at the beach which was fun. Would recommend.
Just to check in, we had to stand for an hour in line. They don't care.
The drinks are horrible, the pool bar has always a line of people waiting to be served. The beer is cheap swill and so are the drinks. Pina Coladas that just don't taste right. The pizza shack is overcrowded with the feel of a feeding trough. The pool and beach snack bar doesn't let women enter in bikini tops. Of course it is empty.
The buffet is huge. But lacks in taste. There are no star cooks in the kitchen. Aggressive hawkers have their stands in front of the single restaurant and you constantly hear "my friend..."
This place certainly has its clientele, mostly Dominicans, but I left after a day. No porter service, I had to lug my suitcases out to the parking lot far away.
