Sun & Sea Hotel and Aqua Park - in Hurghada

The hotel is very old, and the restaurant has a lot of cleanliness issues.
Rooms - Paint on the walls is flaking and dirty. There's no bathtub stopper, and there's no Wi-Fi. Public Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby.
Restaurant - Very dirty, cups are placed upside down on the table, and the food is poor.
Pool - Dirty floor, not cleaned, closes at 5 PM.
Overall - Not recommended.

Sun&Sea Hotel Hurghada (All-Inclusive) We are currently staying at Sun&Sea Hotel in Hurghada, and we are extremely disappointed – and we still have two days of our holiday left. The all-inclusive experience is far from what was promised. The food is awful: there are almost no options, and the quality is unacceptable. When we asked for milk with cereal, we were given hot water with milk powder instead – which is completely inappropriate and unappetizing. There are no fruits, just one slice of cold cut and cheese, and no omelettes or proper breakfast. Food is served in broken plastic bowls, which is both unhygienic and unappetizing. Drinks are made with tap water and served in flimsy plastic cups. No wine is offered with meals, which is very unusual for an all-inclusive hotel. We also discussed our disappointment with the reception and were promised a better room within an hour on the same day. After waiting for two hours without any information, we went to ask about the situation ourselves. We were then told that the new room would be available after eight hours. When we returned after eight hours, they asked for one more hour. At that point, we insisted on getting the room immediately. What they offered us was a smaller room, located two floors up but in the same noisy area, so we decided not to move. The hotel manager then promised we would receive better treatment in the restaurant and that we could order what we wanted. This only happened once, and after that, everything went back to the poor and limited food options. On top of everything, we got food poisoning from the hotel food and had to stay in the room for two full days, suffering from stomach illness. This completely ruined a large part of our holiday. According to Travellink, this hotel was rated 4.5 stars – but in reality, it is closer to a 2-star hotel. We feel completely misled. There is no entertainment or evening program for children, making this hotel totally unsuitable for families. We are extremely disappointed and feel that we did not get what we paid for. One whole week without proper food has been exhausting, and we are simply relieved that the holiday is nearly over and we can finally go home. Based on the misleading description, poor service, broken promises, and the health issues we experienced, we believe a partial refundwould be more than fair. The photos on their website paint a picture that simply is not accurate. My dive buddy and I found the property to be considerably run down and not particularly clean. We had booked and paid for an "All-Inclusive" option and that was a mistake. There was only one location (near the upper swimming pool) to obtain alcohol, and it was comical. Instead of serving you a beer in its original can or bottle (you had to pay for that) they poured the beer into a very tiny plastic cup....and only about 1/2 full. Best guess was about 2 ounces of beer so not much better than shots. The buffet was scary in terms of food quality and the description on one was simply "Meat". What kind of meat...who knows. Fish servings were full of bones. After experiencing the buffet at lunch, we made the decision to eat dinner (and the next day's lunch) at the Tavern across the street....great choice. Breakfast on the check-out day was okay with omelets being available but it was interesting that staff cut-off the all-inclusive band at breakfast so that you couldn't access the food or beverage even though check-out wasn't until much later. Wi-fi was only available in the hotel lobby and was very weak...especially when there were considerable number of guests sharing the bandwidth. The claim on the hotel's website about being wheelchair friendly (although not impacting us) was definitely not accurate. Finally...and this is the scary part....security. We were having a nap after a long flight and I heard the noise of someone trying to enter the room with a key. We had the extra slide lock on so the attempt wasn't working. I got up and looked through the peephole and it was a uniformed staff member so I opened the door and simply said "yes"? He fumbled a bit and then said he was checking to see if we needed water. I said no as we already had our two allotted bottles but it was interesting that he didn't even have water bottles on him. To me, he was attempting to access our room without authorization for suspicious purposes and the front desk was not helpful when I mentioned it to them. It didn't help that our sliding glass door lock did not work but at least we were on an upper floor.

Awful place- stay away!!!
Arrived at the hotel to cold reception… no help offer with luggage. Lady at reception was very unhelpful. My family and I had just arrived from a long haul flight and wanted to rest, clean up and have food.We were turned away and told that our booking was not there despite showing proof and confirmation of booking. Manager had a full on verbal argument with another customer in front of everyone. Had to go and sit at airport for more than 5 hours.Manager even tried to give sell us another room twice the price.
The whole experience was traumatic.
Will not be coming back!

Everything in the hotel is not cleaned properly at all, the bed mattresses in the room is not changed, the plates in the open buffet are not washed well, the swimming pools look dirty. Service is almost non existent, it started with the hotel staff forgetting about us in the reception, then no body does or brings us what we ask. The only merit to the staff is there honesty, as I forgot an expensive electronic device in the restaurant and went back to ask for it fully expecting it to have been stolen only to find them storing it in an office saying they were waiting for me to ask for it.
