They put three of us in a room only fit for two and charged us the same amount per person as if in a two bedroom place. Drinks are cordial not real juice. Managers made many promises but delivered nothing. Treated us and our our guests very rudely. They don't respect Egyptians.

One of the greatest strength of this hotel is its staff. I would especially like to mention the waiter Mohamed, who stood out for his exceptional professionalism. He proved to be a dedicated, hardworking and friendly employee, consistently attentive to guests’ needs, skillfully multitasking during busy hours, carrying out his duties with care and respect. Beyond these, through small, thoughtful gestures—like offering me a bracelet and even an Oreo—he created a personal and welcoming atmosphere that made my stay especially memorable.

Our holiday at this hotel was completely ruined due to unacceptable service and unprofessional staff behavior. We had originally booked two rooms. On the last day, three of us moved into our parents’ room, as this was the one arranged for late check-out so we could all stay together. However, we were not permitted to remain there—only our parents were. We were literally forced out of the room. At that moment, we were in swimsuits and underwear, and the staff insisted we leave immediately without even allowing us to get dressed. This was humiliating and absolutely unacceptable. The front desk manager, Ahmed, behaved especially poorly. He was extremely unprofessional—shouting, acting aggressively, provoking conflict, and even bringing in a security guard. Such behavior is entirely inappropriate in the hospitality industry and left the worst impression of all. To make matters worse, even after we had already checked out and placed our luggage in the luggage room (as per hotel policy), Ahmed insisted that we must pay an additional $51 for using our parents’ room—despite the fact that we had not had lunch at the hotel, had not used any services, and had only stayed in the very room that we had already paid for late check-out. This demand was completely unfair and unacceptable. To be fair, the hotel does have some positive aspects: • The structure is decent, the beach is nice, and there are no corals, making it a great place to swim and relax. • The serving personnel in the restaurants and bars are very friendly, polite, and always willing to help. • The food is decent and varied. However, there are also serious shortcomings: • The buffet system leads to long queues at breakfast, lunch, and dinner due to the large number of guests. • Cleanliness is awful. Unless you tip and specifically tell housekeeping what to do, the rooms are not cleaned properly. • The furniture and equipment are outdated and in poor condition. • Our room had dust, dirt, other people’s hair, a constantly flooded bathroom due to a leaking shower tray, and a barely working old refrigerator. Overall, instead of a relaxing holiday, we experienced stress, disappointment, and humiliation. Despite some good points like the beach and the kind serving staff, all of our positive impressions were completely ruined by the outrageous treatment we received during check-out and the unfair extra payment demand. We will not be returning to this hotel, and we strongly do not recommend it to anyone.

Terrible experience – avoid this hotel! I strongly advise everyone to stay away from Gafy Resort Aquapark. Our stay was a complete nightmare. All four of our rooms were infested with bed bugs. We reported the issue immediately, but the hotel staff showed little concern and were extremely slow to react. We were not offered any proper help or alternative rooms. To make matters worse, some of the staff were rude and unprofessional. Instead of assisting us, they were dismissive and even raised their voices when we insisted on help. At the bar, the bartender outright refused to serve us drinks for no reason. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in a place that claims to be a resort. This hotel does not meet even the basic standards of hygiene or customer service. I would never return and do not recommend it to anyone.

The Worst Hotel Experience Ever! From the moment we arrived, we faced countless issues. 1. Terrible Service from the Start There was no staff at the parking entrance to remove the blocks—we had to get out of the car and do it ourselves. The same happened at the main entrance, where there was no one to assist with luggage—no bellman at all. 2. Poor Room Conditions Our room lacked basic amenities—not even a towel, a tray, tissues, or slippers. When we complained, the response was simply, “Oh, sorry, you arrived late!” Completely unacceptable. 3. Disregard for Ramadan Guests During Ramadan, it was obvious we were fasting, especially since I wear a hijab. However, they failed to inform us that we needed to reserve our sohoor meal in advance. When we asked about it, they just said, “Reservation is closed, sorry!” 4. Disappointing Iftar Experience The iftar buffet was shockingly poor—no grilled items, no proper salad, barely anything to eat. When we asked about it, they told us, “This is all we have.” Yet, just one hour after iftar, a full dinner buffet was set up! Why didn’t anyone inform us that a proper meal would be available later? 5. Rude & Unprofessional Staff The hotel rules stated that the pool closes at sunset. However, when we arrived an hour before sunset, the staff told us, “Oh, sorry, we closed early because of Ramadan!” No prior notice, no explanation—just more unprofessionalism. This hotel was a complete disaster—unorganized, misleading, and with some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

My stay at Gafy Resort was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The reception staff were incredibly unprofessional, speaking to guests in a rude and dismissive manner. Their treatment of tourists was especially poor, making the overall atmosphere unwelcoming. Even after paying for hard drinks, we were told they were unavailable because they had “run out,” which felt very unprofessional. The food was also disappointing—bland and unappetizing. The only redeeming feature of this resort was the sea, which was beautiful. Unfortunately, everything else fell far below expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
