Food was very poor (2/10). The same dishes were served every day, with only desserts changing. Coffee was extremely watered down, and food was not refilled near the end of breakfast. Room cleanliness was disappointing. It seemed that only towels, bed linen, and trash were changed between guests. We noticed broken items, mold, and an unpleasant smell from the fridge. Despite being three guests, we initially received only two towels, and getting three clean towels required multiple requests. Plates in the dining area were dirty and greasy. Even with an all-inclusive package, internet was paid and worked only in the reception area. No cocktails were included — only soft drinks and basic alcohol. The receptionist made an offensive comment by saying there is “no difference” between Lithuanians and Russians, which was unacceptable. Staff English was very poor, the hotel area smelled of feces, and overall staff attitude was unpleasant. The only positive aspect was the animation team — the shows were genuinely entertaining.

Although we were traveling as three people, we received only two towels, and they were not changed unless we asked. When we asked for three clean towels, we got them only on the third attempt – first they didn’t bring any, then they brought only two, and only after that we finally received three towels. Plates in the dining area were dirty and greasy. When opening the fridge in the room, there was a very strong unpleasant smell. The cherry on top was the receptionist, who assumed we were from Russia. When he found out that we are Lithuanian, he said: “there is no difference.” Considering the historical context between Lithuania and Russia, this was extremely offensive and unacceptable. We were disgusted by this attitude and will never return to a hotel where staff openly shows such ignorance. Even though we had an all-inclusive package, the internet was paid. We have never experienced this in any other hotel. Even after paying, the internet works only in the reception area. No cocktails are available with the all-inclusive package – only soft drinks plus a basic alcoholic drink. Hotel staff speaks very poor English. The hotel territory has a strong smell of feces. The staff was generally unpleasant. The only advantage of this hotel is the animation team. The shows were truly engaging and worth our time

Review of Sharming Inn Hotel, Egypt (August 2025)

I stayed at the Sharming Inn Hotel in August 2025, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. While it is advertised as a 4-star property, in reality it feels more like a 1-star hotel at best.

The rooms and facilities were far from clean, and the overall state of the hotel is very run-down. The food quality was extremely poor, with very little variety and nothing enjoyable to eat. Honestly, the hotel seems in desperate need of a complete renovation or even demolition and rebuilding to meet any kind of acceptable standard.

The only positive aspect of my stay was the staff. They were friendly and tried their best, but sadly their efforts couldn’t make up for the hotel’s many shortcomings.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and suggest choosing a different place to stay in Sharm el-Sheikh if you want a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.

The room is extremely dirty, with stains and dirt accumulated for a long time. It is very unpleasant and unsafe to stay with children in such conditions. The hotel took no action after our complaints. We asked for a room change, but the answer was always “all rooms are full”. Towels are another issue – since check-in we had only 2 towels for 5 people. We requested the correct number, but they simply took them away and never brought new ones. The tour operator’s representative told us this is “not his competence” and advised us to deal with the reception by ourselves, although he was ready to help with excursions. Conclusion: The hotel does not correspond to 4 stars at all, very poor service, very dirty. Not suitable for families with children.

We stayed in this hotel as a family. I have been to Egypt before, but I have never seen such horrible treatment of guests. This hotel is not 4*, it’s 1* at best, because guests are treated like garbage! Room cleaning: towels that fell on the floor were folded and placed back in the bathroom as if they were clean. Bed linen is not changed, they just make the bed with the same dirty sheets. Bathroom and toilet are not cleaned. Service: I asked for a kettle for my child’s food — they refused. The staff behave as if the hotel belongs to their family. Hotel territory: dirty everywhere, cats and cockroaches running around, dirty windows. In the restaurant, food is left on the floor, tables and cutlery are dirty. Room: almost no lighting, dirty curtains. Food: my child was afraid to eat what they served. This is the worst stay I have ever had in Egypt. After such hotels, you want to forget about this country. You are a shame to your country and to yourselves! Conclusion: I will never come back to this hotel and I strongly recommend others to avoid it. Let everyone know the reality behind this place!
