Quite a walk from the main train station. The rooms are tiny and the walls are thin. Breakfast is deplorable and you are better suited to find something else outside. The service was phenomenal though, the lady and gentleman at the counter were always happy to help and so friendly and helpful. Great terrace especially on warmer days

A decent place for a day or two in Colmar. Relatively close to the city center and easy to get to with complimentary parking. Rooms are on the small side and the walls are fairly thin, so not the quietest place. The amazing stuff and great breakfast selection make up for it though.

The staff were very helpful. I was able to store my luggage while out about. It was reasonably quiet at night while I was staying. The room is very basic, do not even expect paper towels. The bathroom can need more cleaning. It does not have a pleasant smells. The tiles are stained. The shower head is tilted. Overall, you get what you paid for.

The room was basic, the air conditioning didn't work, the bathroom tiles were yellow, and there were no free bottled water or kettles. Parking was free, and there were several supermarkets and fast food restaurants nearby. Breakfast didn't offer many options.

Perfect hotel for overnight travel

It's in an interesting location as it's next to the local aerodrome and also the Statue of liberty is just a few mins walk. The service was friendly in the bar area and the breakfast was of a high standard with a good selection

Nice hotel Very nice budget hotel if you plan to stay 1-2 days in the Colmar city. Not far away from the city centre, less than 10 mins drive. If you plan to visit the wine factory close by, the location is also goods.

We stay here overnight en route to Italy as it is convenient being just off of the main road. We have done the same now for 15 years, and have always stayed at this property. It is starting to look a little tired and dated from the outside nowadays, but the rooms are still clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and good shower facilities. My stay at hotel Ibis in Colmar. This was not an exclusive kind of hotel but it was very fresh and the service standard was outstanding. I am 73 years old and have stayed at hotel all over the world but very seldom experienced this kind of service level. If I ever will come back to Colmar I will for sure book at this hotel once again. I will highly recommend it to my friends and relatives.

The room is small but very clean. Restaurants and shopping is nearby. It is safe and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Clean rooms with all essential amenities, very helpful and accommodating staff

Excellent stay. There were a couple groups of kids/teenagers during my stay so common areas were very noisy but the staff managed well. Service was particularly good. I enjoyed getting to play the piano in the afternoon and hearing one of the youth play. Cafeteria style lunch was available with a variety of options.

I liked the hotel because it was in the old town and close to all restaurants and attractions and the staff were very nice and friendly, always ready to help. Also it was a very short walk from train stations. Overall it was a great hotel.

From the 4 stars given and photos shown for this hotel, I was expecting something a whole lot more than what we had. The room was so small, we could barely get around in it, and we aren’t large people. Only one side of the bed had an outlet, so had to plug in phone and watch over on small table that was crowded with a coffee pot and glassware. The condition of the room and bathroom was very outdated...

The Marechal is a very scenic, romantic 4* hotel right next to the "Little Venice" of Colmar. The rooms are cozy, service is fantastic and so is the food in the adjacent restaurant. Absolutely worth the stay, although in need of some renovation. However there was some overhaul going on, while we were there so that may have happened in the meantime? We enjoyed our time there a lot, either way.

Simple but welcoming hotel. Well located, next to the central station where there's a small bus that takes tourists, free of charge, all over the historic city. The breakfast is excellent, very well served with great options. The service is wonderful. I liked everything, only the mattress could be a little better, I found it too hard.

It’s a wonderful hotel. The price point was $200 cheaper than Airbnb and it’s just a centrally located for petite Viennese and Comar. The parking is a little tight but they have breakfast was wonderful. It’s a contemporary hotel and they’re adding additional rooms so it shows that they are investing in the community. This is a quiet hotel compared to Salvador BW location and nearer to the train station and less modern than the Salvador location. Salvador location is closer to the shopping street and right beside the main road. There is no toothbrush/paste, pls bring your own. The breakfast service which was a buffet did not include a tray or plates. I had to take a napkin to put my bread on and spread it. No lighting in the breakfast room. Dark room. It's across from the Mercure so it's easy to find. The room was small but acceptable. The bus stop to Riquewihr was nearby. The breakfast was average, but included Alsatian specialties such as kouglof and Munster cheese. The croissants here were very delicious.

The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient, with plenty of tourist attractions nearby. You'll also find numerous shops and street stalls selling clothes, shoes, and handbags, plus a wide variety of ice cream parlors and restaurants.

I loved staying at this hotel that has very warm and friendly staff. Their rooms are so spacious and well lit and it's quite accessible to the tourist, museum and shopping districts of Strassbourg. And it's also quite family friendly and kid friendly too! It's drawback is that it's an old building needing updating in certain areas. I would also advice that you carry your own shower gel if possible

Located about 10mins walk away from Strasbourg convention centre, and about 30mins walk away from Strasbourg train station. Quality of rooms varied largely - some we're really old while others were newer. Rooms were kept clean, with towels changed everyday. Note that there was no shampoo or soap (other than bar soap for hand wash) provided! There was also no kettle or hairdryer in the rooms.

Do not be scared of the horrid reviews online. While it's not the nicest hostel I have stayed in, it's certainly okay for the price. Our room was clean and the bathroom was okay as well

Despite these negative reviews in the past, I honestly would like to give a five stars (given the value we paid) . The room we had was a great sized superior studio, matching what we expected. There is a clean functional renovated bathroom/ shower, plus a simple kitchenette. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The hotel is in the university district, surrounded by schools such as the University of Strasbourg and Strasbourg Business School. It is also close to Auchan supermarket, where you can buy food and daily necessities. There are bus stops downstairs, making it convenient to go anywhere.

Tram and bus stops are close by, so accessibility was good. I didn't eat breakfast, but there was a bakery nearby, so it was good to buy it easily. There is an elevator in the hotel, but when you enter the hotel from outside the hotel, there are about 10 steps, so you had to carry your luggage upstairs.
