We discovered the Menestrel some 10 (or more) years ago. We went there each year for the Easter Period (not during the covid period of course) and this year also and hope to be able to do so the next year(s)... The personal is always very helpful and very kind in order to make the stay as fine as possible. Everything is perfect at our eyes...

Old hotel, with normal space limitations. Romantic charm placed next to the cathedral in a buzzing area. We recently spent for days at Hotel Suisse. It was our fifth or sixth stay at this hotel. We had a large, superior room. Some rooms here are very, very small. If you like small fine. We do not. They have large rooms so make certain you ask for one when making your reservation. Location is perfect, a one minute walk to the Cathedral or the river. Walking distance to Old Town, the shops, many restaurants...

I am completely satisfied that I had this stay. That said, the room was really small and I might have opted for something a little more expensive if I had know that. But I loved the hotel, the staff and the location.

Our check in process was great. We arrived at 10am and they gladly held our luggage until check. This is very convenient to the main train station but not so close that you have the train station problems. A perfect mix

A good location in between the old town and European Parliament, with both within walking distance. Not a lot of food in the area in the summer, as many places were closed for holidays or closed early/opened late. However, the hotel itself was clean and quiet with standard amenities. The area is also very safe.

The hotel is in a great location at the top of the street that runs through the town. You are not in the big crowds of holidaymakers. Restaurant is very good. Staff is rather French in approach but welcoming.

The perfect, quiet SPA boutique hotel Nice and quiet hotel. So inviting with the terrasse and spa area available to guests. Perfect after a long day of hiking the mountains.

This was our second stay. The location is excellent. It is in the midst of one of the most beautiful wine villages in France. It affords you the chance to hike to three nearby chateaus (ruins). It is very quiet and peaceful. Great food all around, and great wine, too.

Not a bad experience - so don't be too put off. But a few things dented our experience: there was a strange sound coming from the toilet in the night, as if the cistern was filling constantly. This disturbed our sleep. Quite a walk from the main train station. The rooms are tiny and the walls are thin. Breakfast is deplorable and you are better suited to find something else outside. The service was phenomenal though, the lady and gentleman at the counter were always happy to help and so friendly and helpful. Great terrace especially on warmer days

A decent place for a day or two in Colmar. Relatively close to the city center and easy to get to with complimentary parking. Rooms are on the small side and the walls are fairly thin, so not the quietest place. The amazing stuff and great breakfast selection make up for it though.

The room was nice, clean and quiet. The hotel is in the university district, surrounded by schools such as the University of Strasbourg and Strasbourg Business School. It is also close to Auchan supermarket, where you can buy food and daily necessities. There are bus stops downstairs, making it convenient to go anywhere.

The hotel has a good breakfast. There's a parking space infront of the hotel but you have to ask at the reception. It's close to tourist spot area. It's walkable.

The hotel is very well located and clean. I had a problem and I had to go to the hospital and they helped me a lot. I really like the hotel employees and my stay in general.

Tram and bus stops are close by, so accessibility was good. I didn't eat breakfast, but there was a bakery nearby, so it was good to buy it easily. There is an elevator in the hotel, but when you enter the hotel from outside the hotel, there are about 10 steps, so you had to carry your luggage upstairs.

Very well located hotel. A small downside for the car park, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to find free places nearby. The value for money is good and the staff very welcoming. We were not on the street side, so no noise at night, which is nice.

My wife and I were looking for a castle hotel, and it met her expectations perfectly, and our family was delighted. We only stayed one night, but I hope to be able to relax longer next time.

The staff were very helpful. I was able to store my luggage while out about. It was reasonably quiet at night while I was staying. The room is very basic, do not even expect paper towels. The bathroom can need more cleaning. It does not have a pleasant smells. The tiles are stained. The shower head is tilted. Overall, you get what you paid for.

The room was basic, the air conditioning didn't work, the bathroom tiles were yellow, and there were no free bottled water or kettles. Parking was free, and there were several supermarkets and fast food restaurants nearby. Breakfast didn't offer many options.

So what i like about the accomodation is just its just one trip away from the train station and the city center...it was also not so difficult to locate. Beds were comfortable and ofcourse its affordable. The staff were also very nice to us. I appreciate how the staff tried to communicate with us in english.

The entrance is in the sideway of the fence, somewhat challenging to find. But so far so good.

The location is far of the center but I guess it’s fine due to the price. The real problem is the bathroom, it is very small. I am a short person and still had a lot of problems showering, I can’t imagine someone who is actually tall

From the 4 stars given and photos shown for this hotel, I was expecting something a whole lot more than what we had. The room was so small, we could barely get around in it, and we aren’t large people. Only one side of the bed had an outlet, so had to plug in phone and watch over on small table that was crowded with a coffee pot and glassware. The condition of the room and bathroom was very outdated...

The room was so small for the price we paid! Bathroom was also tiny and water pressure was so low. When I asked if they gave us the right room they insisted but I felt it was not the room I booked . Location was good opp the central station.

The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the train station. The front desk is very good, there is a supermarket next to it, and it is very close to the scenic spots of Petite France and convenient to go to churches, etc. It is relatively quiet at night and the windows are well soundproofed.

A wonderful hotel in a historic building! It's located right in the heart of all the sights. The view from the window of the Cathedral is a 10 out of 10! Everything you need is there. Relatively clean, but a bit shabby. One downside I'd point out was the housekeeping – the cleaning lady kept forgetting to leave a face towel and once left the door unlocked. Nothing happened, but still.

Excellent location: steps away from the cathedral The location was great, it was clean, and the room had AC which was great. Service was not consistent. The night front desk who looks middle eastern was great, super helpful and nice. The one with glasses and long hair has opportunity for improvement.

The young lady at reception upgraded me to a first floor room to save me tackling too many stairs. Clean, nicely decorated, well appointed room. Small modern en suite. Breakfast is basic but value for money considering the location. You can't fault the hotel's location. Sited between the river and the Cathedral surrounded by museums and restaurants.

The hotel and the room are very small, the breakfast is simple, but the location is good, close to the river, there is a cruise ship pier, Notre Dame Cathedral is also next to it, and it is a 20-minute walk to the train station.

Simple but welcoming hotel. Well located, next to the central station where there's a small bus that takes tourists, free of charge, all over the historic city. The breakfast is excellent, very well served with great options. The service is wonderful. I liked everything, only the mattress could be a little better, I found it too hard.

It’s a wonderful hotel. The price point was $200 cheaper than Airbnb and it’s just a centrally located for petite Viennese and Comar. The parking is a little tight but they have breakfast was wonderful. It’s a contemporary hotel and they’re adding additional rooms so it shows that they are investing in the community. Everyone that worked at a hotel as far as I encountered was a pleasure to deal with

The room was clean and the heating was good. Parking spaces are limited, so we had to park in the public car park across the street, which cost €15. The service was good, and breakfast was nice. They also had free croissants, cakes, and tea at the entrance, which was a lovely touch. Our room had the double bed on the second floor under a sloped ceiling, so we had to go down the stairs to use the bathroom...

This hotel is adequate, and meets basic needs. The breakfast is a nice start to the day but doesn’t serve hot foods - mostly breads and some fruit. The location is about 10-15 minutes to the train and a short walk into Colmar Center. Wi-Fi was awful and inconsistent.

Very convenient and comfortable stay. The space was lovely and nicely decorated, with a small kitchen that had everything needed for a quick breakfast or lunch. Check-in was smooth, and the location was super walkable—perfect for exploring the area.

Apartment was large, beautiful, I would say amazing. Great location, right outside of the center, on a water. 3 min walk to the Theater and 10-12 min to the center. Next time I will stay in this place.
