Six years later, we stayed at the hotel again. The updated room was very comfortable, small but fully equipped and functional. The breakfast was excellent, the front desk staff were very welcoming, and the room was quiet. Parking was convenient and safe. There was just a minor incident. An attractive African female employee came to clean, and my wife, seeing the hotel's stylish decor, was taking photos...

The hotel environment was quite nice, with complete facilities, and there were plenty of snacks and tea available at the reception area. The rooms were a bit small, but quite clean.

Exceeded expectations!!! The hotel also has parking right outside, which is super convenient! The hotel is excellent value for money, and the Old Town area is a 5-10 minute walk away. One thing to note is that there's no elevator. Since we had luggage, we asked the front desk to arrange a room on the ground floor, saving us the hassle of carrying heavy luggage up the stairs.

The hotel is just a little walk away from the main area but is really worth to enjoy the tranquility. Rooms and decor are all brand new. Highly reccomend

The room was clean and very comfortable. However, the bathroom and toilet were in the same place, and there was no wall between them, so the floor got soaked. Also, there were some areas where there were only stairs, which made it difficult to carry a suitcase.

Although you can hear the train passing at times, it wasn't a big issue. It was a good stay

We had really good experience. The room was perfectly clean. A big plus is they have flooring instead of carpets which feels much cleaner. A big plus is we could already check in at 12:00. Our room was in the 3rd floor facing the trains but with windows closed I didn’t notice anything of it. Service was helpful with everything. Good location.

Simple, compact, and yet very well located! My wife and I visited Alsace region early November and stayed in this hotel overnight in transit. Not good as a home base but excellent if just overnighting! I do have one complaint: the shower head is absolutely unuseable mounted on the wall and you must hold it in your hand! They don't seem to test their facilities personally :-)

When driving to the hotel parking house you have to enter the pedestrian zone on the right side of the hotel and will see the entrance right away around the corner. Hotel has just been renovated. The location is good albeit on the outskirts of the town but this isn’t a problem. The main issue for me was the lack of temperature control and the extremely uncomfortable bedding. I barely slept for 3 nights we were there. The pillows may as well not be pillows. We had originally intended to stay at the Mercure Colmar last Christmas. Due to a family emergency we had to change our plans and stayed at the hotel in September. We were in a Privilege Room and it was so nice and well located where we didn’t have any noise or traffic from other guests. The single room was spacious enough for one person. The photos online are better than the reality, especially what comes to bathrooms. Carrelage was broken on the floor so I assume there will be humidity at one point. No shampoo or conditioner available. The heating / cooling system did not function properly in the room. The receptionist kindly found me an extra blanket. Ear plugs would have been useful...

This is a good visit. The recent renovations are excellent. The location is perfect. The staff was very good and helpful. Many of the staff that I interacted with are students at the university. They were all bright, engaging and a joy to talk to. I will return.

If you are 40+, this hotel is not for you... The room is clean and trendy. A free-standing bathtub stands in the center of the room, and it and the shower take up a significant portion of its space. I struggle with how to rate this hotel. It was in a pretty good location with a nice balcony on a generally quiet street. Note that when it says open concept bathroom that means that there's is no privacy for showering. My shower was ice cold while my daughter's was scalding. It's across from the Mercure so it's easy to find. The room was small but acceptable. The bus stop to Riquewihr was nearby. The breakfast was average, but included Alsatian specialties such as kouglof and Munster cheese. The croissants here were very delicious.

Great location. I stayed in a corner room on the 4th floor, but the Wi-Fi was essentially non-existent.

Missed our train connection We missed our connection and needed a room for one night. The staff were very accomodating, room was nicely appointed. Near a large park and nice restaurants. Highly recommended.

The hotel could do with a little updating on a few small details, but overall it's magnificent, with tasteful decor, perfect staff, and a fabulous breakfast. One small drawback: the piano bar is closed on Sunday evenings, the only night I was there, and I couldn't access the terrace even to smoke, as I was forced to smoke in front of the entrance.

The hotel is conveniently located within a 12-minute walk of the old town. Vietnamese and Thai restaurants are also nearby. Paid parking is also available. However, if you have large luggage, I wouldn't recommend this hotel, as the rooms are quite small.

It's OK, but the area is very small. This hotel chain has many locations. I also stayed in this hotel in Paris. There is also one in Zurich, although it is small and relatively cheap.

Average hotel location is not bad less than 10 minutes walk to main attractions there are tons of other hotels but usually colmar is very busy during Christmas holidays it’s recommended to book a hotel with a lot of time in advance , rooms are clean and small but more than enough if you are not planning to stay a long time at the room

About 10 mins walk from colmar station. Housekeeper is good, they folded our Pyjamas. However, there is a dried pee smell in the toilet area, although it looks clean. Could be the toilet bowl surface or the flooring that is permanently stained.

There was a young multilingual Iranian receptionist who was very helpful. While the staff were friendly, he was voluntarily offering his help to guests. Overall fantastic hotel, spacious and clean rooms with pretty views of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. However it should be made clearer that the spa/sauna/pool are not included in the hotel price, and that a supplement is required of 20€ per hour of use of the spa. Really well priced, spacious room - we got the family room for three adults and there are two bunk beds located in a separate room with a pocket door for privacy (and a window). Walk across from Strasbourg Central Station ( Gare Central) to the Hotel. There's another Mercure Hotel nearby. Can walk to Petite France area. Notre Dame Cathedral Strasbourg can be easily reached by Tram if you do not want to try walking. Couldn't find an English TV channel. In the case of my room, toilet flush not powerful? Need to be repaired or replaced?

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and offers very, very dated and poorly cleaned rooms for these promotions! I absolutely do not recommend it until all the rooms are renovated... On the other hand, the staff is impeccable.

We discovered the Menestrel some 10 (or more) years ago. We went there each year for the Easter Period (not during the covid period of course) and this year also and hope to be able to do so the next year(s)... The personal is always very helpful and very kind in order to make the stay as fine as possible. Everything is perfect at our eyes...
