Hotel La Maison Montparnasse in Paris

Clean accommodations, helpful staff, great neighbourhood with many local food options, walking distance to many sites, subway a block away, quick walk to train station. There was a local market set up all along the street on the Sunday we were there.

Very quiet rooms. Clean. Great location for cafes and public transport. Small rooms / v. Small bathroom and felt dated but clean and functional. Friendly staff!

Room could have been cleaner. A few hairs in the bathroom, but the bedding was spotless. Shower however smelled really bad.

Overall it was a good stay for 2 nights. Staff were always helpful and friendly . Lots of eating options. For a 2 star hotel, it was very good. Lovely and clean.

The location is very convenient. There are many bakeries and restaurants (including Chinese and Japanese restaurants) within walking distance. The subway is also very close.
I went to the stalls quickly. There was some smell and I needed to open the ventilation. The room was small but basically clean. It should have been newly renovated.
It is very close to Giacometti Institute and Cartier Contemporary Art Foundation. It is a relatively safe area.

I booked this hotel because I heard online reviews about how many thieves there are in Paris. It is located in the 14th arrondissement, which is said to be the safest area.
The hotel is in a residential area, and there is a subway entrance for line 13 in four minutes. There is also a subway entrance and a bus stop not far away, which is very convenient.
It is not far from Charles de Gaulle Airport to here. I took a train for 11 yuan and then walked here 🤣, haha, it should have taken about 20 minutes to walk here. I have a big suitcase and don’t want to transfer to the subway or bus. And you can go shopping very early. Because of this, I saw that the surroundings are not particularly clean.
I originally planned to book in the rich area, so I was a little dissatisfied with the environment.
The hotel service is very good, clean and hygienic, there is an elevator, I am on the top floor, and I have to go up a few steps after the elevator comes out. My room is at the staircase, but fortunately it is not noisy at all, really not noisy, it is not a sound insulation problem, but everyone is not noisy. There is only noise when checking out at around 10 o'clock.
The room hygiene is really no problem, it is cleaner than Japan. The faucet in the bathroom is also very good, I am very satisfied. The bed is also very big and comfortable, and there is a window, which I just use to dry clothes, hahaha.
The air conditioner didn't have heating, but I didn't mind. There was a TV, but I didn't come back until about 10:30 pm every day, so I didn't experience it.
Check-out was around 11 pm, and the luggage was kept for free. I kept it until about 8 pm and transferred to another hotel.

Excellent hotel. The owner is amazing and accommodating. They truly make you feel welcome and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Yes the bathrooms are small and not everything is perfect regarding wear and tear. But it is clean and comfortable. You don’t need much more to enjoy your time in this city. And with how nice the owner and staff are it is totally worth it. My wife and I are picky about where we stay and I can say the people who run the hotel make it special. If you are looking for a large room and perfect everything go to a holiday inn or other chain, but if you want friendly local people and a great experience then stay here.

Beautiful and colorful hotel, a small gem in Paris. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the rooms are beautiful and clean. The atmosphere is very cozy and friendly. The location is also a plus, being in a relatively quiet area and not far from the metro station.
