Great air conditioning, pleasant breakfast to start the day, accomodations were comfortable and logical.

You pays your money, you takes your choice...

Stayed for three nights as a cheapish option in Marseille.

The good:
Helpful, friendly staff. Let us leave bags on arrival and departure days.
A big enough room, with a fairly comfy bed. Nice hot shower.
Personally, we liked the location. It's not the prettiest neighbourhood in Marseilles but it is handy for the tram, bus and metro or for simply walking straight down the main street, Boulevard Chave, where it is roughly a direct path to the Old Port - about 30 minutes. On the way there are good cafes and restaurants just down the road (La Beerocratie, Le Trois Quarts and more) and loads of boutique shops and eateries in the small lanes between Place Jean Jaurès and Cours Julien at the western end of Bvd Chave. For last minute stuff, there's a very reasonable 24 hour shop on the corner of the main street and between the hotel and there is a very popular barbecue place; always a queue, open until 5am! They'll stick anything in a baguette for you although their English is very limited.
Although we didn't use them, the pool and gym are nice additions to have available. Likewise, we didn't have breakfast so can't comment.
Our aircon was efficient and quiet.

The 'could be better':
It seemed that the rooms only get cleaned between guests, not during stays. We asked for a couple of extra things from housekeeping and it was no problem, but might be nice for them to check on towels, coffee and tea, etc.
Could offer more than one medium-sized towel each, especially with the pool available. With nowhere much to hang them to dry we ended up putting them on the chair near the window during the day so we could reuse them.
Our shower had no screen, turning the bathroom into an unintentional wet room. Which is fine if it's designed that way, but it wasn't and was a bit small for it, so the bath mat would end up being a sponge that needed wringing out every time and would barely dry before the next day.
On one morning the smell of cigarette smoke was very strong in the bathroom - I can only assume it was coming through the bathroom ventilation duct. I know they still love a cigarette in France, but I don't need it in my room.

So, in summary: I can't complain for the price we paid. Just don't expect the Hilton, do enjoy the non-touristy vibe of the area where everyone we met was very friendly and if there's a problem in the hotel, ask at reception.

Nice room
Clean room, updated

The room had been updated but the access was weird and you had to kneel in the shower and the a/c was extremely noisy. Otherwise great. Good breakfast. Parking was off site.

The pool was our favorite part. Loved the long veranda to enjoy our coffee. Room was clean and nice size with comfortable beds & pillows. Air conditioning was amazing. Service was good except we did not get our room refreshed any day of our 5 night stay. Would stay again.

Easy to get to via Tram with a short walk. Plenty of food and drink places nearby. The receptionist can speak English very well! Lovely clean hotel. The pool is open 11hrs per day (9am-8pm) and the gym is open 24/7. The reception desk is also open 24/7.

Parking nearby, swimming pool and breakfast: All this for a reasonable price and close to shops, while remaining quiet in the evening to rest.
