Clean and big rooms. No tea or coffee making facilities but the Rituals product were a bonus in the bathroom!

We loved our stay at Escale Oceana Hotel! Great and friendly staff, always willing to assist. Our room was spacious, comfortable and has every thing we needed for our stay. It’s close to restaurants, shopping, and safe to walk around even late at night. We’ll definitely return!

Tried to give this hotel five stars, but couldn't quite do it.

Positives: great location (if you want to stay by the old port... we enjoyed it), right by the metro, tons of restaurants nearby, clean room, A/C worked well, great shower with plenty of hot water, and surprisingly quiet, given the location right in the middle of it all.

Negatives: lobby was dark and a bit tired, with a forlorn-looking and completely empty vending machine; first impression when I arrived was "did I make a mistake?" (No, I didn't... the room was great.) Check-in was fine, but indifferent. Room was not cleaned one day... admittedly we did not leave it until noon, and the woman downstairs very kindly gave us extra towels, so not a big deal... but still.

Overall, would not hesitate to recommend, but cannot give the full five stars.

It was absolutely comfortable staying. All staffs are kind. The quite room gave me a good sleep. The attic room was very cute. I was able to reach to old port just 10 seconds from the hotel, that was very convenient.

Short break by train.
Location was perfect for being beside the port, adjacent to a metro station but also the room was quiet due to good double glazed windows leading onto a small balcony.
Room very clean, staff helpful and a good breakfast.
Only 14 minute walk from the train station or 3 minutes by metro.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our vacation in France. The location of this hotel is perfect for visitors to Marseille wanting to visit all the tourist sites. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. Very small elevator, but as this is an older building, I was happy they have 1!

I found myself in a room worthy of a cell, with no windows other than a skylight, and with limited ceiling height in more than half the room. No visibility to the outside. The hotel told me that this was specified at the time of booking: but on your TRIP.COM booking site this is not mentioned at all! It's a disgrace. At that price to find yourself in a cell!!!!
