The hotel's in-room facilities are pretty basic, but the views are absolutely stunning. Breakfast was plentiful, and you can also order dinner at the hotel. It's great value for money, and the cocktails are delicious!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful

This is a serious review.

First off, I can't fault the hotel's environment; it was great, and the breakfast spread was very generous. However, the rooms themselves, as many are aware, have notoriously subpar facilities, so I won't dwell on that. My main point concerns the check-in experience. The front desk staff were very polite, genuinely seeming to want to assist, but!

But! The hotel's check-in procedure clearly discriminates against Chinese guests. Or perhaps it's against Ctrip bookings! As shown in my photos, the worst 'last-available' rooms are those situated at the back; while they face a mountain, another hotel building completely blocks the view. Only a handful of rooms in this particular row are affected, with the balcony view entirely obscured by that building. These rooms, by the way, cost 1800 RMB. I observed that on that day, every single guest checking into these specific inferior rooms was Chinese – exclusively Chinese, no other foreign visitors. It appears that any booking made through Ctrip automatically results in the front desk assigning one of these undesirable rooms. I'm quite disappointed with Ctrip.

A truly delightful family-friendly stay with a super-fast check-in. Our room offered stunning mountain views, and we could even spot a church. At 6:20 AM, we stood on the balcony and witnessed the breathtaking 'Golden Peaks' as the morning sun illuminated them – an absolutely perfect and memorable highlight of our stay. Breakfast had an impressive variety, tasted delicious, and catered perfectly to my preferences. Overall, the hotel facilities were excellent, with the only minor hiccup being the shower's water temperature, which was a bit difficult to regulate; everything else was fantastic. It was a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

The room was pretty standard, but the view was absolutely breathtaking. Honestly, all the stars are for the view. Stepping outside to see snow-capped mountains and enjoying a meal right at their foot was truly incredible, making it completely worth the price. The beds in the twin room were quite small, and the shower was pretty bad – the water temperature kept swinging between hot and cold, making it almost impossible to get a comfortable setting. However, these minor drawbacks don't spoil the overall experience, and I'd still highly recommend staying here. The breakfast spread was generous, and the food from their restaurant was also excellent, definitely worth trying.

Located at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, the setting is wonderful. Especially the hotel's spacious terrace, which offers fantastic views of the Holy Trinity Church right opposite. It's perfect for photos, and we were extremely satisfied!

The hotel's only redeeming quality is its excellent location, offering the best views in town – though it also comes with the highest price tag.

The hotel facilities are quite outdated, and the bed, in particular, was extremely uncomfortable!

Now, for the most important issues:
1. Guests who book through Ctrip are invariably assigned rooms on the 'shaded side,' which offer absolutely no view, compounded by ongoing construction noise downstairs (Photo 1).
2. To upgrade to a room with a view, we had to pay an additional 461 Lari. Even then, we were only given corner rooms, with no other options available!
3. Service! Or rather, the complete lack thereof. The staff were rude and unhelpful! We requested water from housekeeping and waited a full two hours!
4. During breakfast, we had the misfortune of being in the same room as two tables of incredibly loud 'Shanghai aunties.' The entire breakfast area felt like it was about to explode – I swear the noise was enough to make a volcano erupt (Photo 2)!

On a side note, while out and about, we noticed several other hotels with equally good locations (like the one in Photo 3) that could serve as much better alternatives.

Simply the best in the area, Amazing view, friendly staff and great food, what else would you wish for.

Fortunately, I paid an additional 80 GEL to upgrade to a room with a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains. The post-rain mountains, shrouded in mist and clouds, offered a truly awe-inspiring beauty that no phone camera could ever capture. However, the hotel's service was extremely poor. Most of the staff didn't understand Russian, which was baffling given Kazbegi's proximity to Russia's Verkhny Lars border crossing; instead, only English was spoken. The room amenities were even inferior to those found in budget chain hotels in China.

Facilities: The facilities were quite comprehensive, but the room itself was rather small, and the bathroom felt particularly cramped.

Cleanliness: Good.

Setting: Absolutely breathtaking. In the morning, you can witness the stunning 'sunlit golden mountains' phenomenon.

Service: Restaurant service was a bit slow, likely due to the high occupancy. Quite surprisingly, a room service attendant even delivered food to the wrong room in the middle of the night.
