We booked this hotel as part of a road trip to the artic circle. The room was booked a couple of months before. We have emails from the hotel stating clearly our reservation was GUARANTEED. The email states that twice. 48 before arrival the hotel emailed to tell us that they were exercising a clause in their T&C that enables them to cancel a guaranteed reservation and cancelled our reservation. Don’t book this hotel if you rely on guaranteed reservations.

Friendly staff and interesting experience to stay two nights in the UNESCO area. Our room was cold and we couldn’t regulate the temperature but a receptionist quickly fixed the issue. Breakfast buffet was one of the best: the variety of food options is amazing, I’ve tried the real honey comb there 😋

1. Check-in/Check-out: 5/5 Straightforward and friendly. 2. Rooms (cleanliness, amenities) 5/5 Spotless. Comfy. Nice. 3. On-premise restaurants: 5/5 Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. 4. Pool area: n/a 5. Service: 5/5 Notes: A few interesting observations for the property. There were…no fridge no phone and no safe in the room. Deliberate choice by the hotel, when asked about it. It is located right in the middle of a UNESCO site. The coal mine was right there and now you can explore the site and a museum. Hotel’s decoration shows that as well. The interior design is very cool and modern. From the color choices to lighting to furniture, it is a very cozy property throughout. The highlight of our trip, however, was to see the dancer of the TS, apparently they were staying here as well, at least half of them. My kiddo was star struck. Overall weighted score: 5.0 out of 5.0 Would we come back? Yes and Yes, especially if you are going to Gelsenkirchen arena.

A very nice hotel with a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, you don't have to spend the night as a guest to have a beer inside and discover the stylish interior.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff and a very attractive atmosphere - all coal mine themed. The rooms are absolutely top notch. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. We had a wonderful holiday.

A very original site, located in the complex of the old thermal power plant. The hotel is comfortable and cozy, I think it is far from anywhere.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was blown away by the entire experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by incredibly friendly and supportive staff who made me feel right at home. The hotel itself is nothing short of stunning—I've never seen anything like it.

The décor in both the lobby and the rooms is absolutely breathtaking, with every detail carefully thought out to create a luxurious and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are not only beautiful but also extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind.

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. The selection was huge, catering to all tastes and preferences. Whether you’re in the mood for something light or a hearty meal, they have it all.

Overall, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable stay.

I contacted the establishment to cancel one of my two nights of staying 8 WEEKS before the actual dates because of a change in my schedule, they refused to cancel the first night, didn't even refund a part of it.

Absolutely horrible costumer practices. Especially as it was during a big concert in the region, most of the hotels were full they would have found another customer easily.

Unexpected gem!
We were blown away at how great this place was. It is so super wonderful. It is a great boutique hotel! The breakfast was amazing. The room was VERY comfortable! I highly recommend this spot!

We stayed for the Taylor Swift concert and the rooms were so cool!!! Love the concept and how clean the hotel is. Only down side is the shower wall to the room is glass, not a lot of privacy. There is nothing around the hotel at all.
