Room was clean, although bedding had hole in fitted sheet, there was a kettle and coffee maker with pods, room was reasonable quiet from traffic noise as at back of hotel.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Allegro. The staff is truly lovely, welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. The hotel is very clean and has a cozy, almost old-world charm that makes it feel much more personal than a big, standard hotel chain. We also really enjoyed the new bar. We had cocktails there, and they were great; a very nice addition and a perfect way to end the day. The location is also convenient, making it easy to get around. There were just a few small downsides. The curtains are quite transparent and there are no blackout blinds, so the room gets bright very early in the morning. The bed was also a bit too soft for our taste, and the water pressure in the shower was quite low. That said, these are minor points compared to the overall experience. A charming hotel with friendly staff and a great atmosphere!

I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Allegro. The warm welcome and very attentive staff made me feel just like home. The room was very comfortable with coffee machine and kettle, minibar, comfy bed and Italian shower. 2 minutes walk to station Heumarkt, made it easy to go around. (I regret that my schedule did not allow me to have breakfast).

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit the Christmas markets, the location is very good. We were walking distance from the cathedral and Christmas markets. Our room had a lovely view of the river. The nearest underground station is heumarkt. Colognes main train station Köln hbf was also only a 15 min walk along the river side. Trains from here to the airport cost €3.70. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast one morning of our stay which was nice and plenty of choice. Our room was modern and comfortable. We had a kettle, coffee maker and a fridge which also had a minibar. I would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

The staff was really friendly. The room's were very well equiped and clean. The location is top notch, it's just besides the river and there are tons of restaurants close by.

The staff at Allegro are amazing! They were incredibly supportive and accommodating when my colleagues and I were in Cologne for business. The rooms are quiet and it’s just a short walk from Heumarkt by foot. They still use a classic metal key vs card key for hotel rooms and you need to hand the keys to reception every time you leave the hotel. I would say the vibes are like staying at your grandparents who are very sweet.

The points of feedback I would give is that showering in the shower and bathrooms often leaves puddles of water no matter what you do. Secondly, only deluxe rooms have a mini fridge so you can’t store any cold food safely. Despite these drawbacks I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a nice stay near the city square!

Quick visit to Cologne, so the central location was great for easy walking access. Modest hotel.
Room very clean, bed comfortable and appropriately firm. Good bathroom, the room was overall well appointed. I would stay here again.
