Brunnen Hotel in Essen

Absolute dump. Wish I could rate it a zero. Very dirty. No staff present at check in. Beds not fresh and also worn. I checked in by 2.30pm and left by 4pm. No staff in site to lay a complaint. I wouldnt even let an animal stay there

Every star is one too many. Everything is very old and dingy. The whole hotel smells musty. The room had been aired out upon arrival, but the heating was turned off. So it was freezing cold and took eight hours to get even remotely warm. The shower head holder was held together with electrical tape. The bathroom is very old and run-down. One of the lights above the bed was broken. The refrigerator mentioned in the review didn't exist. There were only three small shampoo/shower sachets. Breakfast completed the picture. One type of cheese, salami, and mortadella. Eggs, juices, different kinds of bread? Forget it. Paying over €100 per night for this is completely outrageous. THIS HOTEL IS A COMPLETE RIP-OFF

Unfortunately, you're forced to give at least one star; without it, you can't submit a review. In short: disgusting, moldy, and disease-ridden. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. But photos speak louder than words. Close it down immediately.
