Absolutely wonderful hotel run by a very sweet family. The rooms were very clean. The restaurant was absolutely delicious. Such fresh homemade good. The breakfast had a wonderful selection. The service was top notch. So tgdd ad nfl for this wonderful stay on our travels.

What a gem of a hotel and restaurant in Bad Tölz! Modern and clean rooms with plenty of space to stretch out. Hotel is tastefully decorated too and feels gemütlich 🤠. Restaurant was a pleasant surprise with one of the owners attending to us and offering great suggestions. Highly recommended place!

Staff there were very courteous and everybody smiled.
Rooms were also nice and clean.
The restaurant was a very nice surprise, I was not expecting such a good quality, once we tried we decided to have dinner in the hotel instead of roaming around searching for an eating place.

Stayed there overnight with my bicycle (May 2024). Could store my bicycle in a safe place. Nice restaurant with friendly service. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Many thanks & I definitely would come back.

Hotel am Wald was a delightful end to our chilly cycle from Munich. The pool/sauna was a pleasant surprise but the true treat was meeting co-owner Elizabeth and her husband Peter. We enjoyed a delicious meal. I had the white asparagus and Weiner Schnitzel while Grant enjoyed the home made ravioli. For dessert I devoured the chocolate mousse and Grant had the homemade parfait. The rooms are spacious with a modern bathroom. Our balcony overlooks a local ski hill that still has snow in April. Let's hope we don't have too much snow on our cycle to Salzburg. Thanks again for a great experience Elizabeth and Peter. Good luck to the regulars who played the Bavarian card game Tarock.

It was overall a good stay, nice and quiet hotel with a good vibe, great food. There was also a sauna and pool for use. Only thing that could have improved my stay any further would be air conditioning in the room, it got pretty hot during the night.

Fantastic hotel. Comfortable beds, spotlessly clean room and fantastic food (both evening meal and breakfast). Had a family room (two teenagers) and had plenty of space for the four of us. A really good option for an extended stay or for a stopover on a longer journey.
