Hotel Ratsstuben in Lindau

Over the winter holidays we visited 4 different hotels. This hotel was by far our favorite. We wanted a warm vibe. The room was beautiful, we had a 3rd story room with as tiny window which led to a cute rooftop view. Our room was the largest we had in a week, bright and welcoming. The staff was so helpful. I only regret not having spent more time there.

Excellent location, great bfast, traditional building yet up to date rooms.

The hotel is centrally located near Lindau harbour and 5 minutes walk from the train station. The room was very clean, a comfortable bed and a good sized en-suite with a very effective shower. We were on the third floor (of 3), fine for us but if you are less mobile, there is no lift so may be a consideration. There is a suite room with a balcony patio area to sit outside, which is a sun trap for those wanting to spend time at the hotel. The owners are really lovely people, and the hotel is family run, very friendly and they go out of their way to help you with tickets, directions, ideas of places to visit etc. Continental breakfast choices are extensive including fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, continental meats cheese and fish, beautifully fresh bread rolls, jams, home made cake and eggs any style, including perfectly cooked poached eggs! There are numerous restaurants nearby, bars and a small tourist bus to take you around the island. You can also walk around approx 3 miles. We visited Mainau island famous for its flowers and gardens. BoT trips to Lake Constance are available from Lindau harbour. We thoroughly recommend this hotel, it is convenient for everything and a lovely place to stay

Delicious breakfast. The hotel staff was always very helpful. We reserved the two bedroom and were very pleased with the beds and size of each room. Caution: the church bells toll every 15 minutes through the night which might awaken a light sleeper.

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely hotel, arriving and departing by bike. Our room No 9 was lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean, light and airy. The owners were charming, they gave us restaurant recommendations and served a delicious breakfast. The hotel is in a good location and was very quiet at night. A wonderful stay thanks.

The owners were so very nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Great location. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The next time we are in Lindau we will be staying there.

such a sweet boutique hotel. we actually found this whilst looking for our actual hotel and decided to stay here instead. I love the quiet streets surrounding the hotel while still being in the center of town. I absolutely recommend this place!

Best hotel I've stayed at in Lindau yet, and I've been to 5 or 6 so far. I stayed in a junior suite, with a terrace., and I highly recommend it. Room 9 was amazing. The walk out terrace was wonderful, the rooms were large, clean, and very curly decorated.
