Hotel Vis à Vis in Lindau

Good breakfast. Great location!

It’s a nice unique city and hotel is located in middle of old town. Loved it!

I have heard that some rooms are noisy since it’s next to train station. Our room was quiet and no noise even with the windows open. There is no air con in rooms but they give you a fan. There’s not much other amenities but we didn’t mind. Staff was very helpful and gave us a map around the place with marked spots to visit. Good experience!

Lovely 2 day stay in Lindau.
Lovely 2 night stay in Lindau. The hotel was perfectly located. Staff in the hotel were all very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was very nice. Room allocated was a good size for a single occupant.

We arrived late in the evening for our stay at the hotel, we had previously arranged with reception to pick up our room keycard from a machine outside the hotel as the entrance is not staffed 24 hours. This all worked as planned and we were able to access our room with no assistance. There is some parking outside the hotel, or a multi-storey 5 minutes walk away for more space. The room was small but comfortable, the bathroom was more spacious, but I think that's because we had been given an "accessible" room despite not needing it! Breakfast was included, and was standard German fare, although a second coffee/juice machine would have been helpful as there was often a queue. Overall, a standard 3* hotel in a great spot for exploring Lindau.

Well located a minutes to the harbour. We had a spacious room with a small seating area. Although a long walk to the room from the lift. Looks like this hotel has taken up two buildings connected . Pillows not good but that seems to be a given in this part of Germany. No extras in room like fridge , water , kettle . No shampoo or conditioner just some soap. Standard 3 star. But it was quiet and sheets were fresh. Very clean room. Did not use breakfast as not included in my rate .

We had a great stay at the hotel for NYE. The staff were brilliant, helpful, really friendly and made our stay even better! The rooms are large, clean - although slightly dated but that's personal tatse and opinion! Location is directly opposite the train station without any noise or issues! Very handy!

Great Option For Christmas Market Visit
Is a nice hotel located just outside the traditional train station. The area of all the town is nice and safe, so despite being so close to the train station, the street is safe, clean, silent at night and super close to the lake port. The lady at the reception was super kind with us, she recommended things and was an expert in the area. The hotel is well maintained, clean and comfortable. Is not a luxury hotel, but is a good quality one. The breakfast is simple, mainly bread, crudités , ham and cheese. I think quite poor for a brunch, so I recommend going to have breakfast to other place around if you want a brunch. But if you want something fast might be ok. We visited on Christmas Market period, in December, and is amazingly located just in the corner where the Christmas market begins, was super convenient location, as you are close but not inside with all people. One final tip, we went the last days before Christmas, and learn that our last day was also the last day of the Christmas Market. The Christmas Market las day is December 22nd, so plan well. The Christmas Market is one of the hidden jewels of Germany is super nice.

The reception was welcoming. The beds were comfortable and clean as were the shower and the toilet. But the bedroom was too hot. the view isn’t the best. The rooms were carpeted red with centre walls giving it a slightly old fashioned feel. On this hot day, airco would have helped more than the table fans… The breakfast was very hearty and a wide range of food available
