Probably, most definitely the most disappointing hotel I've ever been to, and I've been to bad ones before.
Rooms: for the price of over 300 euros a night one would expect to have a small fridge, a water kettle, air conditioning. But Instead we got greeted with the hardest beds me and my wife ever slept on. We had shoulder pain after laying on them. The pillows were anything but comfortable and the room was extremely warm (over 30°C), the cleaning staff brought us a small ventilator but it didn't bring anything, it was still simply too warm to sleep comfortably. The bathroom is tiny and very ancient but not in a charming way but rather in an unpractical, ugly way.
I really could not say a single good thing about the room.

Parking: This is the first time I've been asked to pay for parking fees at a hotel of this price range, especially since they only tell you when you check out and not when you check in. Dishonest, and greedy.

Restaurant: Go to literally any restaurant nearby it will taste remarkably better and you'll have friendly service. I had steak which tasted like wet rubber and my wife had Pasta with the the dish being mainly rucola and very little pasta.
The breakfast is okay but nothing to write home about. The same menu items every single day and not much variety, very boring.

Swimming pool: The swimming Pool was dirty. Neither I or my wife could swim in there. The "beach" is in a desolate state, the lawn was not mowed. The loungers were broken and all of them had bird feces on them, which is a health hazard.

Location: The location is good, but I could say the same thing if I lived in a cardbox near the Bodensee.

Overall I would advise to be smarter than us and not to book in this old, broken down Hotel.

Very poor value for money
The hotel is as expected. Its age (Art Nouveau) is consistent with charm. The rooms are small but comfortable.
In our experience, the staff is unacceptable. Many reviews mention their friendliness. Yes, okay. But that's normal, not exceptional quality, and certainly not in this price range, I assume. The service staff are untrained; 10 minutes of observation after arrival is enough to tell. The waiter has nothing with him, so he has to ask again after 5 minutes what was ordered. This time, too, he has nothing to wipe our table or clear the next table. All the waiters are "empty" several times...
Another example: Special request (from the menu) at dinner on my birthday:
1st person: "That's not possible"
2nd person: "No problem"
3rd person: brings something completely different, the wrong thing, more than an hour after ordering...

The food was prepared very well on all three evenings.

Earlier that afternoon, at the beach, my wife wanted a piece of cake: "He'll come later, if he comes at all." My wife asked: "Can I reserve a piece for my husband? It's his birthday?" "We don't do reservations!"

I'm sorry, that's simply not possible in this price range. Someone like that doesn't belong on the front line anywhere, and certainly not here. These are all management issues and have nothing to do with staffing shortages, which is why we can't recommend the hotel in any way.

We booked a junior suite which featured appalling furnishings from the 70’s. No air conditioning! No tea coffee making facilities. Nothing in the frigobar. A lone bottle of mineral water with a card written Free round it’s neck. Not really true as we had spent 650 for room and half board! Good bed! Good linens. Nicely modernised bathroom. Dinner and breakfast adeguate. Spa and swimming pools horrendously old fashioned. Not for one moment worth your money!

I stayed for a conference for three nights. The hotel is fantastic and is in a beautiful location. Enjoyed breakfast and several meals at the hotel. Lots of cool places to walk to within about 20-30 minutes. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel has a large and wonderful garden. İt is near to Bodemsee and it has a pier. You can see lots of art work inside the historical building of the hotel.

Paradise!!!! ❤️ Clean, quiet, relaxing - amazing atmosphere 🌲🌳🌳🌿. The park is so clean!!!! Hotel - 1 A! ! A place to relax - enjoy nature -. Let Lake Constance work on you 💞. In short "recommended" The trip is worth it

A great place to relax. Great selection of wellness treatments. My husband and I liked that we could get to the wellness center by a special elevator. Guests are provided with robes and slippers.

Pretty, old hotel with character located next to the Bodensee. While the rooms are okay, they are out of date. The restaurant is mediocre. And unfortunately, the weirdest part of the hotel is that the sauna is only open between 14.00 and 19.00. While it can be accessed by special request before 14.00 it cannot be used after 19.00. Which makes no sense if you’re staying here for business which many people are. You should really get with the times and update this outdated policy.

The bar has a good selection but the bartender seems to have other duties and is extremely slow to fill any order.
