Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Lindau

This hotel couldn’t be in a better spot right in front of the harbour but it needs updating. Our room smelt musty and no amount of ventilation seemed to change this. The breakfast is pretty good and the staff are mostly friendly and helpful though the women on the front desk can be rather icy.

There is an indoor and outdoor pool but there could be more seating and also more shade as it got very crowded.

The hotel is really well located in the city, which guided our choice. On the other hand, not at all up to the standard of a hotel of this category. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned and far from having all the comfort. The bathrooms are small. The bedding is ok.
On the wellness side, a part was not open because it was under repair or malfunctioning but it would be nice to specify it at the reservation. We are far from what we can expect at the reception and the answers are rather evasive when we ask questions.
The swimming pool is pleasant in the morning. The breakfast is just at the height and the service of the terrace is very medium, we have the clear impression that the tourists are welcome for their money.
In short, it is seriously to be revised at the level of the reception and we feel well that without the exceptional position of the hotel in front of this beautiful lake... it would not be the same!
