My experience here was disappointing from start to finish. At check-in, the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, which set the tone right away.

The room itself was far from restful – the walls were so thin that I could hear every word and movement from the neighboring rooms.

This place is definitely not what you’d expect from a quality hotel stay. I do not recommend staying here.

Hotel Bayerischer Hof was a wonderful blend of elegance and cleanliness with a classic charm.
Sometimes, traditional hotels can feel a bit too formal, but this place made us feel genuinely comfortable and well cared for.
There’s no doubt that it’s the most beautiful hotel in Lindau.
The view of the lighthouses from our room was absolutely stunning — truly unforgettable.
Although the bathroom wasn’t fully modern, it didn’t cause any real inconvenience.
Breakfast was also very satisfying — simple, with only what you really need, and everything was delicious.
It was great to be able to explore the old town and then return to relax by the harbor.
I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location and overall experience.
I sincerely hope to return someday. Thank you!

The front desk employees either hate the customers, or hate their job. They do not understand "hospitality". You will have better customer service at a campground.

The person who checked me in told me I was taxed for being a tourist, but never gave me the Tourist Pass card that the tax helps pay for. There is no ramp to bring luggage inside, and yet no employee offered to help when we arrived.

Another front desk employee got angry with me when I asked if any of the restaurants were open, and complained that he still had his jacket on.

And literally none of the front desk employees would greet you, or even look at you.

I suspect management is this issue here, as I have never encountered such rude hotel staff in my decades of travel.

They give Lindau, Bavaria, and Germany a bad name. Stay elsewhere.

In general place is very nice developed meeting high accommodation standards. Rooms neat and bright, very comfortable. Other services, such as breakfast offer, served as a self-service buffet, with high variety of choice and tasty. The best part though is hotel's location, right at the Lindau Isle harbour, with splendid view on Bodensee's south-east bank. Great place for short walks along the bank, with nice nature surrounding, beautiful bavarian archtecture and cool breeze from lake. Hotel posses fine cafe and bar with access to promenade, so you can enjoy harbour view while sipping beer. Place I can recommend without doubt.

Everything was great, the rooms are cozy, the indoor pool is great, the breakfast is nice and the staff is so nice. Definitely wanna come back, if you’re thinking to visit the island I’ll 100% recommend staying one night so you can enjoy the amazing views at night!!

We visited Hotel Bayerischer Hof for a Valentine's Day Getaway 14-15 Feb. My wife received a lovely long stem rose upon arrival, and we were double-upgraded to a fourth-floor suite with a Lakeview. The Front Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The servers in the Cafe, Restaurant and Breakfast Room were prompt and efficient, the food was excellent and the Breakfast Buffet large and generous! I can recommend this Hotel for couples, Families, or Business Travellers. I have taught at a Hospitality School in Zurich for over 15 years, and am a professional business traveller with thousands of overnight stays and 10s of thousands of dining out experiences!

This hotel couldn’t be in a better spot right in front of the harbour but it needs updating. Our room smelt musty and no amount of ventilation seemed to change this. The breakfast is pretty good and the staff are mostly friendly and helpful though the women on the front desk can be rather icy.

There is an indoor and outdoor pool but there could be more seating and also more shade as it got very crowded.

beautiful location and amazingly kind cleaning staff! it is super sad to say that the front desk person at night was super unfriendly and unkind when we asked a simple question about the tv. (none of the televisions have access to any channels that are on the remote and on the tv itself) super disappointed with the service with the front desk at night especially when it is an expensive hotel. the front desk staff during the afternoon were extremely helpful and polite so we were very appreciative of them!

This is one of the best hotels in Lindau. Their restaurant offers a mesmerising view of the lake constance. The food is tasty as well. The staff is very friendly. Easily reachable. Mountain view. Major shops nearby. Highly recommended.
