Munich Marriott Hotel City West in Munchen

The rooms do not have AC or any fans. We visited the hotel during summer, and the rooms were hot (80F+ during the day). There is absolutely no ventilation. The rooms are tiny, and the Wi-Fi is pretty much nonexistent. For the price, there are better properties available. Stay away from this hotel during the summer.

The room was incredibly dirty, the toilet was bad, the curtains in the room were torn, the pillows were too soft and cotton was coming out of them. They put the safe on top of the closet, I could not use it at all. The room was much smaller than shown on the Booking page, I was mistaken here. There was no mini fridge in the room. There was no hand towel in the bathroom. The room cleaning was very bad. The shower cabin did not close completely. There was no shelf in the closet where you would put your clothes and it was high. The internet did not work in most parts of the hotel. Since the reception closes at 10 o'clock, you cannot meet any of your needs and you cannot reach anyone.

The room wasn't particularly clean. The curtain was torn, the shower door didn't close, there was a dirty ashtray - in the shape of an old tin can - on the balcony. There were also stains on the wall and carpet. The most memorable thing, however, was the service and the "hospitality". I had booked through Booking and got the date wrong. Nobody told me about it, even though I also told them the time of the accommodation the next day. In the evening there was only one temporary worker there (friendly and the only positive thing about the stay). The lady at check-out was extremely unfriendly and when I asked for a free cancellation (for the wrong date in over 2 months, by the way) she said I should write an email because only the boss can decide and he won't be back for a few days. However, her "friendly manner" made it clear that he doesn't care and is happy to charge twice. Zero customer orientation. So I asked for a free cancellation by email. First, yes, of course, they cancel... then after days and further inquiries, I got an email saying that they won't refund after all. Definitely stay away!!! I would never go to this hotel again.
