Hi, folks! Four of us stayed at this hotel in two standard double rooms from September 10th to 17th, 2025, at a great price. We booked in advance, and they even accommodated us by adding an extra night a day earlier than our scheduled check-in for the same price due to our flight being rescheduled! The hotel is in a wonderful, luxurious location in a very lively area! All forms of transportation are conveniently located, and there are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance. The reception staff, as well as the cooks and maintenance staff, were very friendly and helpful. We arrived a little early, and they stored our bags for FREE while we went for a walk around the city before check-in. The rooms are spacious, simple, yet functionally furnished, and very clean! My wife, Tanya, loves cleanliness and especially commented on how well the rooms are cleaned. We stayed during the cooler months, so we didn't notice the lack of air conditioning in the room. Even my childhood friends in various German cities don't have air conditioning, so it's probably a general local trend. Breakfasts may be a little pricey, but they're very varied and delicious, especially the apple pie. I was quite full, and I'm a big boy! There's also a wide selection of drinks. And what a gorgeous view from the restaurant and terrace! The two elevators didn't bother us at all; everything was fine. It's clear this hotel is quite popular, as I heard German, Italian, French, Chinese, and many other languages spoken. Upon checkout, they again temporarily stored our luggage for a few hours, completely FREE, while we took a final stroll around Berlin before heading to the airport. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality! Now we know where we can stay in Berlin. Special thanks and greetings to Hernando, Christina, Dasha, and the wonderful chef. Stayed in the hotel for 2025 IFA expo.
Pros:
- great location
- room is clean
Cons:
- the curtain doesn’t block much light which affected my sleep
- the kettle and phone in my room (room 208) were broken
- the elevator was down when I checked in so I had to carry the luggage to go up 1 floor
- the hospitality was bad. The facilities are old which is fine. But the hotel didn’t care to post notices to tell us about the situation of the elevator.

Very bad staff. The girl (Mooni) was very mean hostile and overall asked me additional 30e to let me in the room even prove all the evidences I paid 108e more than she had in papers. She doesn't deserve to work in hospitality industry.
Manager forbid all the staff to call her. Very poor management and service is terrible.
There was one gentleman tried to be helpful but obviously whole management should do something else in life.
The rooms are not clean, old, and smells on garlic. Better book hostel than this shitty hotel.
Elevator was not working. Reception is on the 7th floor. There was an intercom in the ground floor but they won't answer it.
I have many more to add but have no time to write.

The hotel is new and the room is average. The bed is small, but the mattress is of a big brand and I slept very well. The price of the hotel is a bit expensive. It costs 5 stars for 3 stars. I will change the hotel next time I come to Berlin for business trip

First of all, to SOME of the receptionists, politeness and a smile is free of charge! 😃
The room we were given which was on 2nd floor had no view but was clean overall and quiet. Pillows need to be changed though (clean pillow cases is not enough). Toilet seat could be cleaner as well.
The heating was adjustable.
Very close to the subway and train station, only some stations away from the city centre. Close to lots of places to eat, cinema and 24hr shops.
Altogether, it was ok. We enjoyed our stay. Some improvements and it could be a 4 star hotel.

Horrible Experience @ Domicil Hotel- This was hands down the worst hotel experience I have had.
TDLR: Please request for invoice for your stay and check the details.
We (my family) had done advance booking and payment for our stay. This morning at 8.30 am during check out the receptionist told me we had to pay additional 36€. Twice I asked him for what the additional charge was but he did not respond. Then I asked him if it was the city tax and he replied with 'Yes'.
I asked him for the invoice and he gives me invoice for breakfast for two days but we never had breakfast at the hotel.
When I informed him this, he was rude and insisted we did. When I pressed further, he said he will check with the staff. He then checked with the staff and also checked the Breakfast log sheet and realised that that indeed we had not had breakfast at the hotel.
He finally reversed the charge but did not apologise for his error and oversight.
He wasted precious half an hour for all his checks because of which we almost missed our return journey.
From the receptionists rude demeanor and absolute lack of remorse it seems like this must be his MO.
More over the hotel while in an excellent location is severely outdated in its interior and poorly serviced.
All customers must be aware.

The hotel is next to the subway entrance. There is a McDonald's downstairs and there are many restaurants around. Very convenient. The hotel room is large, fully equipped, and the wifi is smooth. Very good

The hotel is good, we stayed for a week, the surrounding facilities are complete and travel is convenient.
