This hotel was my first impression of Berlin. Let me start with the conclusion: it was terrible! I arrived at the hotel at 1:30 in the middle of the night, and the front desk had already gone off duty. They told me to pick up the key by myself according to the instructions, which I can understand. But the door wouldn't open according to the instructions, and the problem was that in the middle of the night I encountered two knives who wanted to rob me. I could only run away in a hurry, and didn't dare go back to try to open the door until an hour later. During this period, I contacted Ctrip customer service and also called the hotel. No one answered the hotel phone, and Ctrip customer service was unable to resolve the problem. There was no successful solution until the next day. Fortunately, after waiting for an hour, I don’t know what happened, but the door was able to open.

The pictures in the room did not match the actual room. The elevator was broken. I booked a room for three days, but the room was not cleaned even for one day. Even the most basic towels were not changed. There were obviously hairs left by the previous guest on the sheets and carpet in the room, and the Wi-Fi was extremely slow. I could only barely get a good rest because it was so late.

The next day I asked the staff if they could teach me how to open the door, but they just talked and didn't do it. I asked her that sometimes this door cannot be opened, could you demonstrate it? As a result, she asked me back with a particularly contemptuous look. I asked if I could change the room, but was told that I couldn't, as the actual room clearly did not match the picture.

In short, the room was too small to match the actual situation, the attitude was extremely bad, and Ctrip’s customer service just went through the motions without any substantial solutions. Next time you book a hotel for one night, don’t do as I did and book three nights which I couldn’t refund.

Seriously, if something happens, not to mention the hotel, even the embassy will have to be mobilized. If someone is lying in a pool of blood, how can you open for business?
