It was lovely literally less than 5 minutes from station, easy check in and check out. Room was clean and had basic amenities. Air conditioning very good, there is good hot water for shower

Good value for money. Beds are comfortable, room is very clean. Only negative aspect is there is no safe-box. Will definitely visit again.

A Hotel as there are sure to be dozens of others, but the staff is absolutely great! From check in to departure you will be served here, knowledgeable and friendly.

Clean and tidy, the key is that it is very close to the subway U Bahn, only two minutes away. The breakfast is also good

Just on the corner near the hotel is a nice restaurant, Friedel Richter, which my wife and I really enjoyed, and on Valentines night went to PeterPaul restaurant (about 15 mins walk) which again I heartily recommend, also nearby the Augustine bakery was nice for a coffee and light lunch

The location was perfect for us, quiet and relaxed but in walking distance to museum island, checkpoint charlie, friedrichstrasse and so easy to get around by tram or train which are nearby too

The staff were so nice, really welcoming on our early arrival and during our stay. Also, thoroughly recommend the breakfast at the hotel, not exactly cheap but well worth it in my opinion

The hotel is perfectly located—within easy walking distance of countless wonderful restaurants offering everything from traditional German cuisine to international flavors

We really liked the bathroom, cracking shower and underfloor heating felt especially nice when you came back in as it was pretty cold out and about

The room itself was comfortable, understated and roomy. The bed was large and although a little firm I slept like a brick

This place is very safe and comfy. Everything nearby. Very clean place. The only thing i want to recommend tge propery is to put some lights outside the building.

The front desk is only open till 17:00 (5pm) so if you don’t have internet connection it is difficult to check in and provide deposit, had to make security deposit in cash (which was returned upon check out) Very much recommend this location as it is walking distance to everything

stay 5 nights must to have housekeeping to clean a room. hotel must set policy every 3 days to do room clean up. Overall is OK

The location was great, close to an Italian restaurant and supermarket, and not too far from the station. The service was also very good and polite

The facilities were all there, including a kitchen where you could cook, which was really convenient!

On the positive side, the room itself was spacious, had a balcony, and was well equipped with towels, slippers, a hairdryer, plus snacks and drinks available for purchase. The receptionist was very nice

My family stayed at Hotel Nikolai Residence for just about two weeks over Christmas and New Year's Eve. We are a family of four - my husband, myself, our 12-year old son and 16 year old daughter

We knew we'd be there a fairly long time and wanted as much space as possible so we rented the largest available room, which allowed us all to have our own space. It was very clean and very comfortable

I was very happy to find that there were more than enough pillows and blankets. Housekeeping came daily and did a great job. We checked in after reception hours, and it was seemeless

A great place for couples or families Hotel is at a great location with nice restaurants, a river and places to visit in walking distance nearby. Hotel staff are great and place is very well maintained.

In the hotel itself, there were shelves with maps and pamphlets about different places in Berlin which were very helpful! The location is close to a good retail and restaurant area, in addition to the metro lines which can get you to the city center in minutes

Breakfast is served in the Bar/Dining room and offers everything from eggs, cold meats, fruit, cheeses, pastries, fruit juices and a variety of hot drinks. We were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony

PS there is no food available in the hotel but a lot of good coffee and cake places for morning stuff and a range of restaurants within a few minutes walk for evenings. For lunch I recommend a tiny Greek deli/eatery

This is a great hotel! The hotel was clean and while the room was a little bare bones, the bed was comfy and the desk/chair was useful. The bathroom was clean and actually quite large and well kept

My only negative was that the self-check-in kiosk didn't work properly at first, and there was no one on site to assist, but after a few tries, I was able to get in

Eve the owner is lovely & will make you feel most welcome - a personal touch that beats the anonymity of the chain hotels - which I normally use for city breaks

Staff was amazing throughout - easy late check-in, advice on sightseeing, logistics like money exchange and calling taxis. Room was gorgeous. Location is not far from the major center sights by metro.

Great hotel in an old renovated building with large rooms with high ceilings. We had a full kitchenette large dinning table. The location is perfect by the subway and three different trams

We rented bikes from the hotel, which were very good and allowed us to visit all the highlights, but also the nooks and crannies of this interesting city. Would come here again any time!!

The location was also perfect for Berlin - everything we needed and all the places we visited was within a half hour train ride or less from our place, and there is so much to do in Berlin! They had plenty to offer too

This place must be brand new, facilities are spotless & top notch. Service was great too. Would happily stay again, fab location, comfortable & stylish.

The one thing that stood out the most was the customer service. The check in person went out of their way to help me with my bags up to the 5th floor, as the lift was broken for 1 day

The room had shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, dish-washing soap, dish towels and cloths. There was a hair dryer, an iron and a toaster

The maintenance man fixed my TV and brought me an extension cord. The cleaning team was friendly. The online customer service reacted promptly to questions and requests

Centrally located near great shopping, spacious, bright, fridge, MW, stove, dishwasher.

There was no kitchen trash bin nor a recycling bin, so rotting food and packaging had to be stored in an open paper bin with no plastic bag inside, no mirror in the entire place (not even in the bathroom), no oven, no freezer (only a tiny mini fridge), no table to eat or work on, no chairs (just a small sofa like seating arrangement and a tiny coffee table), and there were only exactly 2 plates, 2...

Friendly staff, spacious living room, clean bathroom and towel, comfy bed, nice kitchen. Location is superb, quiet neighbourhood while Hallesches Tor is just a two-minute walk

Although no breakfast included, but a very nice cafe (Hallesches Haus) is just located next to Hallesches Tor. I am travelling alone, but I reckon the apartment is also family and couple friendly

Self check-out is a bit early (10am) but easy

Clean, very cheap, good location. But room 6 is “ independent”, which means you need use key to open the door every time when you need using toilet or kitchen.

You are really nights, a lot of air even in hot summer. The two conductors are super friendly and the handling of the Check-in and Check-out easy

An outstanding boutique hotel in Berlin. Large, beautifully designed rooms with high ceilings comfortable bed, luxury bedding, towels and bath products. Lovely breakfast room with an excellent breakfast

The breakfasts are excellent with fresh breads and croissants, excellent jams, fresh eggs and cheese and very good coffee. Well located very near the Jewish museum and check point Charlie

But, it is quite comfortable, albeit small rooms, with a very good bed and excellent bathroom, especially the shower. The staff is great, friendly and welcoming

Near many bus routes and trains and walkable. Very good ethnic restaurants near by and in an extremely diverse safe neighborhood

Stayed here as a couple, though with a couple more single duvets you could have comfortably fitted in two more people (it was two single beds together with a massive topper, plus a normal queen/king sized bed)

Transport-wise it was very close to two U-Bahn stations and easy walking distance to Zoo. There was a Lidl round the corner and you’re right on the Ku’Damm

Great location. Rooms have plenty of space, kitchenette, washing machine, etc. Only 6 minutes from the underground and 9 minutes from the above ground train.

Diane and the staff were v helpful. If you’re used to traveling in Europe and know how to navigate a city this location can’t be beat

It is close to three different u-bahn stops and the major bus lines - and yet it’s still quiet

The room was great! The only problem was with the check-in: we were not notified about the digital check-in before the arrival and it was impossible to choose Ukraine as a nationality on the check-in website

My room was on the ground floor and was right next to the front door and the staircase. Since it is an apartment building with apartments, it was never quiet and you could always hear the door and stairs

I liked that it was basically individual apartments in a back building. Unfortunately the room was very dark during the day and there were no blackout curtains at night

The room we had was quite small. When I entered the bathroom I automatically switched on the lights with my butt because the door was so narrow. It's serviceable and everything else was good.

Beds are comfortable and there are small lockers next to the bed for private belongings. Location is great which is 1 minute waking distance to the Hermannplatz subway station

A nice place for it's price. Near the metrostation, many halal food around the hotel, and LIDL. The hotel staff is so friendly.

Great experience! The staff at the reception was friendly and welcoming, the room was neatly clean and tidy. Daily room service made sure the towels were changed and the bedsheets made

But that brings some noise from outside and not really safe atmosphere(depending on person). Every single reception staff is so helpful,warm and welcoming. And the last and best thing about the hostel is BREAKFAST

The hotel room is very small and no have water and teeth brush also washing room is very small and expensive so I suggest to book another hotel

I was made to feel very welcome, and would like to say a special thank you in particular to Franco- I found his youthful presence very welcoming, but more than anything, he was very helpful with directions and information of where to eat and visit

As a solo traveller, he was just what I needed to prevent me panicking and getting lost. I was also given an early check in and upgraded to a bigger room at no cost as soon as I arrived

I have just checked out today, after 3 nights stay. I was more than happy with everything provided and the service I received. I was unsure about staying in a hostel, but I need not have worried

It was ok for the price paid. Would stay again, especially because there are no hotels around that area. But just to be clear, it closer to a hostel than a hotel.

Most of the time there was pretty clean, but as there's no shower curtain it could get pretty wet. In the hostel lobby there were amenities for additional costs: laundry services, lockers, computers, bar

Trains are no more than a 10 minute walk from the location. There's a grocery store that's about a 5 minute walk, and loads of cafes and restaurants nearby. I will be recommending this place to anyone visiting Berlin

Overall, the room had 6 capsules, each of them could be locked with pass code from the outside and with a lock from the inside. The amenities were common: toilet, shower and a sink in a shared bathroom

The community and overall vibe was mostly friendly, the staff was outgoing and helpful. Would definitely stay once again! A photo of the common area ceiling is attached for you to get the vibe :)

Stayed here for 5 nights in a private room with my 3 friends. Staff was very helpful and kind. If you need any recs on places to visit, the staff is very helpful with suggestions

One complaint is that the bunk beds squeak every time you make any movement on the bed. but that's just a little maintenance issue that's easily fixable
