My graduate students who stayed with me all remarked that the hotel provided a truly enjoyable experience: the breakfast was both abundant and refined, the rooms were spacious, and the location was very convenient

However, just one day before departure, I suddenly received a message from the booking site stating: “Your credit card has been marked as invalid. Your reservation in Berlin from June 21 to June 24 will be canceled

While on the train to Munich, I decided to email the hotel directly for help. To my great relief, I soon received a phone call, reassuring me that they would resolve the issue through the hotel’s booking system

As an older person traveling solo, everything worked perfectly, from being a short ride from Berlin Hbf to being spoiled for choice with cafes, bars and restaurants, all while being in a super quiet room

” This came as a shock, especially since the very same card was successfully used to book our Vienna stay via the same platform for June 29 to July 3, which was later completed without issue

In particular, I want to extend my deepest thanks for the extraordinary assistance from Hotel: On June 17, I departed with eight students for our 18-day architectural site tour in Europe

However after staying here I can definitely say that I fully enjoyed my stay and have no complaints. Location: Excellent! The hotel is just off the main shopping street and has good access to transportation

There are shops, grocery stores and resturants in walking distance. Building: Yes it is an older building but it is well maintained. Sure it could use a few updates but there was nothing that I found wrong

Everyone was so friendly to me and very helpful. I felt welcomed and I really appreciated this. Price: the price was competative with the market. It wasn't the cheapest but was not expensive

I saw a few people in other reviews complain about having to leave the keys when going out, but this is common in most older hotels in europe where actual keys are used insted of door cards

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no air conditioning but this is expected in most older european hotels and a fan was provided

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this hotel. On average the reviews were ok, but there were some that had me a bit worried

Impressed with the cleaning staff ensuring that the rooms are cleaned and towels/sheets replaced daily. However, the hotel itself isn't very soundproof and you can hear the hallway and other rooms

The room was clean and tidy, and parking was easy. While the facilities are a bit dated, it's perfectly fine for a simple one-night stay. It's great for families and highly recommended!

The hotel is located approximately 2 km outside central Berlin. The room was quite small, offering a very economical, no-frills experience that reminded me of typical budget accommodations in Japan

Walking distance from the tram station. Staffs are kind. Check-in is quite convenient.

Despite the compact size, the room was clean overall

4/5 of five for amenities because the room doesn’t have a fridge. Awesome staff, they let me check in 2 hours early.

Location: very practical, just in front of the subway (S Bahn + U Bahn). The full size mirror in the bathroom is a +++ Service is great, they respect your privacy and their efficience for cleaning up is unbelievable

Hotel was great and the environment was okay. Not sage and not dangerous at all! Train Station on the other side. I would always come back!

Not luxury, but awesome for the price/location. Rooms are standard, clean, have a safe and a small fridge. Location is great-directly across from the train station, with easy connections everywhere. Very friendly staff!

Nice hotel with clean rooms and perfect view. We hadn’t any problems with registration and our room. The bed is very comfortable for quality sleep and rest.

Overall it is a good hotel as a two star hotel. It is clean and the bed is very comfortable. I got the small and cheap room for a night and I was satisfied

The access to the parking spaces in the yard is definitely not for large cars. I was lucky and found a parking space 100 m further along the side of the road. The breakfast buffet was clear, but sufficient for my needs

Regardless, the room was comfortable with a large bed and had everything I needed - good lighting, air conditioning, large window, many power outlets, phone charger, mini-fridge, flat-screen TV, rain shower, fast WiFi

The hotel is modern with the rooms being well equiped, clean and tidy. They had a hairdryer, but I would have prefered tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were very friendly and attentive

I used the hotel's gym, which was large and had a lot of good equipment. There is also a sauna and steam room, which looked very clean. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful

The hotel was excellent value for money, located in a pleasant suburb of Berlin, close to u-bahn underground train stations and I would happily stay here again

The hotel is located in a great area with a metro stop a few feet away, and several restaurants and a grocery store nearby. I would stay at this hotel again

An overall good experience. Although the location isn't as desirable as the original axel, the property is better and the staff MUCH better.

One last great detail is the hotel’s private entry to the Zoo, which we used one of the days. Some minuses during our stay - it is clear that the hotel is not brand new, and certain parts of the room could be renovated

The manager Sabastian was top notch along with the evening bar staff. We had a great evening talking with them, and they gave us great suggestions for places to eat and things to do in or 24 hours in the city

We were fortunate enough to have booked with breakfast included and the spread was so delicious every morning. The view into the zoo was unforgettable!

We had 2 rooms, one for my husband and I and one for our teenage daughters. Both rooms were beautiful, comfortable and prefect for what we needed

It had small windows at a low height that were always partially covered by the blind. At the spa we couldn't find the towels, the bubbles in the pool were very loud and the few chairs available were taken

The hotel is situated in a great location - 20 min walking distance to shopping area and what is even cooler - it has its own entrance to magnificent Berlin zoo which we really loved

Pro: - nice shower - comfortable bed - great coffee choice in the room - reception crew very nice - great breakfast Con: - rooms aren’t big - bathroom close to the bed - some maintenance would be nice in the room - location is nice if you want to stay close to kudamm but in the surrounding area is nothing Good stay and a great value for your money

Although the hotel offers only breakfast, the restaurant is open all day, offering even table games during the evening, and there are snacks and drinks you can enjoy while having fun

I had a problem with my bag (lost by the airline) and the hotel staff was very helpful with that. Location is really good, very close to a station (Zoologischer Garten) with lots of Ubahn, Sbahn and train connections

The room was perfectly clean and very well equiped (coffee machine, hair dryer, iron, lots of plugs). I was on the top floor facing the internal patio, and it was absolutely quiet

The rooms are not big, but very cosy. Having complementary coffees, tea and even hot chocolate is a huge plus. Anyone we met during our 4-nights stay was very kind and helpful

Nice hotel, with kind but not much staff. The breakfast is really good, with a lot of different foods and a nice selection of healthy foods and stuff you don't normally get, like strawberry smoothies

Everything was spotless! We highly recommend this hotel and it was in a perfect location with the S-bahn only a few steps away. We would not hesitate in booking this hotel again. Absolutely everything was perfect

Very modern, clean and comfortable rooms, fast internet without connectivity issues and a very good breakfast buffet with homemade bread and a wide variety of other stuff. Really liked the stay.

We had a late checkout (around 7pm) and even though the room was cleaned in the morning. The breakfast table was very rich and very good. Thank you very much for a great vacation

One of the best hotels in berlin! Its my second time at this hotel. Staff very polite. Rooms are clean. There is a free wifi. Spa. Sauna. Not expensive. Very recommended!

Clean and tidy, a few hundred meters away from the subway station, very convenient, the breakfast is very good, although not rich but sufficient

If you arrive later than 9 o'clock, you must contact the hotel in advance to get the check-in code and pick up the key at the hotel entrance to check in!

For American guests, this part is important: the hotel's bathroom is shared. there was a shower in our room, but no toilet. Fortunately, there were no other guests while we were there so it wan't an issue at all

The shower was good when it worked! 2nd day and the shower was cold! After complaining to the receptionist I got this response: it's nobody in anymore but I'll make a report

My visit was brief, just overnight, and despite paying for breakfast, I couldn't partake in it due to an early train departure

The hotel, while dated, was well-maintained; the older furnishings added a homey and cozy touch. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and with birds serenading outside my window, I enjoyed a tranquil sleep

The hotel has a unique atmosphere being a former public pool and spa. The rooms are spacious and clean, but do not expect them to be modern, they have a lot of charme

The building, rooms and the pool (which is not open yet, but you can look inside) are amazing

Such a classic! Bathroom was a little blah ( hello, lighting?) but the pool, the staff, the bar area, and surrounding neighborhood were fantastic.

We loved our recent stay at the Hotel Oderberger. The room was unique, stylish and spacious for a family of four. Hotel staff were great and breakfast was expensive but delicious

Rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly. Very nice views of the lake would very much recommend and stay again

There is a Bunk Bed and quiet comfortable king sized double bed. The windows are directed to the local forest and there was a nicest sound of trees and leaves in a wind, that was forgotten

Stayed with our two kitties for a chill firework free new years, could not recommend more. Fireworks are prohibited in the property and they’re pet friendly

The breakfast that is included in the stay, was rich and tasty. The nearby forest and lake are absolutely gorgeous. I enjoyed very much the stay in the Waldhotel - thank you!

A super nice hotel, near Berlin airport (Brandenburg). About 25 minutes drive from the car rental place. The room is well equipped and big enough for 4 persona's

It's set on the edge of a wooded area so it was quite tranquil to sit in the room just looking out watching the world go by. Food was excellent, the bathroom was modern and more importantly clean

Easyjet booked me into this hotel after my flight was cancelled. I don't really know how to explain this place. Room was weirdly decorated, the bathroom was lovely and spotlessly clean

There was a gym with the same tartan patterned carpet which I thought was a little weird too, the bar area looked like it was something from 1930's Germany! But Peer, the barman was great although rushed off his feet! Also made a new mate as he was in the same predicament as me

There are a couple of things to note though, the first is that you are close to the one of Berlin's airports, which does mean some aircraft noise of you have the windows open, the second is that there is also a railway close by, so again if you have the windows open there is some noise as the trains pass

We just sat at the bar chatting rubbish all night and getting smashed. So my stay was actually quite fun

Well until my second flight got cancelled and had to travel the Hamburg to fly home with a hangover wasn't great but still had a good laugh!! Would I stay again? Only if Easyjet put me in this again if my flight gets cancelled again!

Old, but gold! Great hotel with fair prices, just 200m from subway! Smoking and non smoking rooms, workers very kind, clean room... I recommend it!

great location for trips to central Berlin and beyond(on the u6 line and only a 10 min walk from s + u bahn station also on the bus routes. The best wifi I have ever got in a hotel. Plenty of restaurants in the area

Very good location and close to the transport. The street has a lot of local bakeries and resturants. Easily accessible and the staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed there for 5 days and really enjoyed it

Not bad for the price. Rooms are large, lots of appliances (AC, Fridge, fan, TV, safe), everything worked. Breakfast didn't have a great variety, but I guess you can't get everything for that prices.

Rooms are spacious and clean but would benefit from air conditioning or at least a fan. Both the bed and pillow are comfortable. WiFi is slow and sometimes drops out which is disappointing

Stayed for a few nights on business. The hotel is just 15 minutes from the airport by taxi and the location is pleasant and relatively quiet. The service was welcoming and professional

We went on a four day vacation in Berlin and stayed at Hotel Carolinenhof. The room was very spacious, the staff nice and the breakfast amazing. The hotel staff even gave a plush toy to our baby

I also took public transit to the airport early my last morning there and it was painless and quick. An amazing first trip to Berlin, and I’m very glad I chose Hotel Carolinenhof, it was perfect!

The reception staff were all very helpful and friendly and the breakfast staff was as well! There is so much public transit nearby with some awesome restaurants and bars within a short walk

I didn’t have a day to just relax as it was my first time in beautiful Berlin and there was so much to see. But if I did I would have hung out in that garden

The hotel Wilmina impressed us with its incredibly friendly and attentive staff, outstanding service, and impeccable cleanliness

The design is exceptionally stylish, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. The rooftop terrace is a real highlight – perfect for unwinding

The building (an ex women's' prison) has been sensitively converted, keeping interesting features. The bar was cosy if somewhat dimly lit, didn't use the restaurant but the breakfast was copious and with healthy options

What a treat! The room, the sauna, the lounge area, gym, the bed, the Wilmina bakery next door (and their staff) the loyalty bar…. the pool! (Will definately freshen you up in winter - wonderful)

Very unexpected find! Loved the overall atmosphere, from room to restaurant where we had dinner. Super helpful and polite staff. The only minor, the gym. Very very basic. But the rest is too good to pass on

The room is large, not a traditional chain hotel style, but very European style. The price is slightly higher, the location is not in the city center, travelers who focus on an experience can try it

This was the first hotel I booked in Berlin. The location was very convenient; a shopping street was just a short walk away, and it had everything you could want

There was even a Vietnamese pho restaurant across the street – it was delicious, and we ate everything! I didn't like bread, so I searched for ages before finally finding a pho restaurant right across the street

Super clean modern room and lovely coffee machine to use at certain times! Only negative was our pillows which were very airy and had to be almost deflated before sleeping!

Excellent place to watch the Berlin Marathon! Very comfortable beds and quiet yet close to public transportation as well as easy walks to many historical sights.

The hotel staff are really friendly and the location is unbeatable. I have stayed many, many times as I come for business a lot. The rooms are of varying size and price to suit your pocket or needs (single or couple)

I don't understand the bad reviews. It's much cheaper than most similar level Berlin hotels. If you're fussy book a deluxe room. All rooms are photographed as they are

Great hotel, very friendly and accommodating. Slick interior, easy access to the centre of Berlin.

I like the hotel's balcony, which overlooks the children's playground downstairs, and I can hang clothes to dry in the evening. There are some supermarkets nearby, which is convenient, and it's relatively quiet at night

Great location to parks, the botanic garden, multiple food options and shopping. The room was lovely with a nice sized bathroom, large windows and a great balcony. Breakfast was additional but a great option.

Could not recommend this hotel enough - we recently travelled to Berlin for the Marathon and they were so accommodating with our needs, very friendly with unbelievably good customer service

Staff is super nice and helpful. Rooms are great with comfortable beds. Location is right next to shopping centers. Safe Parking for €12 a night 15sec away!!! Bathrooms are spotless

Very useful! Location is good as well I was there in September for EPSC 2024 and was 10 minutes from the university, 10 minutes from central Berlin and around 30 minutes from the airport! Highly recommend!
