Hotel Grossfeld is conveniently located near Bad Bentheim castle and a 7 minutes walk from the railway station on a rather unattractive square. The room I had was fine, but slightly outdated, just what I expected from this smalltown hotel.

Great hotel in a great town. Excellent breakfast and staff. Staff spoke english. Parking is available off-site. Small elevator which is also a plus! Overall we were very pleased. The only negative was price. We just spent 2 weeks in Germany and this was our most-expensive hotel.

The staff were so lovely, and the room was absolutely gorgeous, with a lovely terrace. Breakfast was lovely, traditional German, with plenty of variety!

Great facilities, swimming pool and several saunas. Great food quality. Very polite staff. Comfortable beds. Rooms towards the road can be noisy but excellent three pane windows cut all road noise away. Very good value for money.

My wife and I stayed here in January while visiting our daughter. The hotel had been renovated which was still a work in progress and there was a barrier in front of the hotel that made it difficult to find the entrance. The check in was long and ridiculous with a tablet that you have to do yourself with the staff just standing there and watching you. I guess no one wants to talk with people anymore...

A wonderfully friendly owner made our stay a truly delightful experience. The breakfast and dinner buffets left nothing to be desired. The quality and variety were absolutely top-notch. A particular highlight was the New Year's Day cake buffet. The spa area is beautifully furnished, perfectly in keeping with the cozy hotel. A heartfelt thank you to the lovely Mrs. Müller!

First of all I would like to mention very tasty breakfasts with a variety of dishes and snacks… During the ten days of my staying in the hotel I was never disappointed with quality of products. This is a great little hotel, in quite a good location. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the food was very good and the rate was very reasonable. The staff were all very welcoming, and were only too happy to help! If and when I am back in Papenburg, I would happily stay here again!

The breakfast was good but could be better, Soap supply was rather strange, in my bathroom it was difficult to press sth out of the tube. And only one soap for hands, body and hair. Spa was really nice.

We were there for the bridge weekend. The rooms for us with about 40 people were comfortable, we had a lot of space, the fireplace room offered a private atmosphere. We really liked the evening and breakfast buffet, there was something for everyone, everything was very tasty and lovingly prepared. The service was very friendly and fast, everyone tried very hard. A really nice stay!

Our room is getting old. The mattresses way too soft for us. The dog costs 12€ extra per night. The service is very good and everyone is very friendly. The dog was allowed to have breakfast with us. The buffet was very tasty and rich.

I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. I really liked the breakfast, but unfortunately the warm dishes (scrambled eggs, pancakes) were quite cold. The hotel is in a great location and there are plenty of parking spaces. The children's playroom is unfortunately pretty bleak. A room without windows. My wife and I have visited this hotel twice in 7 years and we were very satisfied each time 😁. The service is good, the food is delicious and includes a good selection (half board). The rooms are nicely furnished, the beds are good - everything you need for a (short) vacation. Only the Harz itself has significantly fewer trees 🌲😕. Recommendation 👍👍

Decent hotel, we had a family room all the way in the back of the hotel. The room was more like an apartment. Everything looked very old and beds were hard. Like really hard. But all in all it had everything we needed and the location was really good.. And there was aircondition which worked.

Mostly ok but stinks of cigarette and internet speed around 2.5mbit and very unstable, cuts out all the time, no work can be done.

We stayed at the hotel as a group of girls. After some initial "grinding difficulties," everything was resolved to our satisfaction. We had a wonderful time here, were able to relax and enjoy our "me time." The food was delicious, both dinner and the very varied breakfast. There was something for everyone. The hotel is very nice, has everything you need and more. The staff is, with a few exceptions, very friendly, accommodating and helpful! The breakfast is very rich. But it is not recommended for dinner. The main problem with this hotel was the lack of parking spaces. Apart from this, the hotel is nice and comfortable and not too far from the main town area of Celle.

Nice hotel across the street from the main train station. 10 min walk yo the christmas market. Breakfast was nice and filling. Only complaint is I drink a lot of coffee in the morning and they serve a small pot which for me is 1 cup and then yoy have to ask for more. Would be nice to be able to refill on your own.

Conveniently located, within walking distance of the train station and close to the downtown shopping areas and historic sites. Also, directly on the very pleasant Stadtwall walking path.

Our hotel reservation in Oldenburg was completely straightforward. A quick phone call was all it took, and the credit card payment was processed directly over the phone. Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Hannover/Hanover. Room was fantastic, nice and quiet, amazing bathroom. We all had the Komfortzimmer category /Comfort room - definitely worth it. We were on a 2 week holiday through Europe, staying in a new place almost every night, all within the same price range. Out of the ~12 places we stayed, this was the best by far. The room was large, with windows in two directions. The shower had a thermostat mixer, which is something you only notice when it isn't there. Great Hotel located in a tranquil setting with nice views of the rural landscape. Especially loved the restaurant where we had breakfast. A heads-up about the room size, they are quite small and bathrooms even more so.

The room we stayed in was in a building still under renovations. This hotel is close to train and does not have air-conditioning in the rooms.

Clean hotel with the basics. They have a nice breakfast (you must purchase it). Nothing laundry machines which was difficult on a long vacation. No gym or recreational area. Rooftop was not a nice sitting area, more like where people just go to smoke.

Fuss free location, near to city center with Christmas market. Road side parking available. Pity that the hotel does not provide any water.

Okay hotel in the middle of nowhere

Hidden in the forest just outside Gifhorn, this hotel is an ideal place to stay over night if you have a meeting in Wolfsburg or Hannover. At busy times of trade fairs in Hannover, this could be your next best accommodation at a reasonable price. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Buffet table breakfast is included in the price. The staff are friendly and helpful.

My stay was unpleasant as during the night they turned off the heat and nighttime is when it is coldest. There is no staff at nighttime so if you need anything (like if you lock yourself out of your room) you have to wait until morning. I would not recommend staying here.
