It was a nice hostel generally, enjoyed the stay there, there is a kitchen with a common space. However it could have been cleaner, there were some crumbs on the floor in the private room when we arrived
Wendy
It’s a little bit intimidating because it doesn’t have much light in the hallway, but it is well located and it’s ok because it has a really low price. The image/cleanliness could be better though.

Lovely place to have my field trip with my peers there.

We travelled as a group and because of that had the whole room for ourselves, without any stranger sleeping our room.

The staff or as they like to call themselves - "sheperds" were friendly and tried to keep the toilets, showers and other public rooms clean at all times. Though in the kitchen everything (for example, the tupperwear) seemed a little dirty and old.

The hostel itself is located in very noisy place, so in the night it was almost impossible to sleep with an ipen window, but if the window was closed, it got stuffy really fast.

All in all the experience was not great, but it is a ok place to stay if you are on a budget.
Rafael
Good hostel with a homely, and a bit shabby, flair. Rooms are clean and included breakfast is really nice. Wifi though, is only available in the rooms and not in the common room.
Daniel
Great rooms, each one themed and decorated with paintings and post cards. great staff, good location for nightlife, Zülpicher Straße etc. Which was great as we were visiting for the 11/11 Karneval celebrations! A 25 minute walk to the Dom and museums and main attractions but located right next to the tram so it's ideal.

Also was incredibly warm so ideal for some shelter from the harsh November cold! We will definitely be back in February.
Paul
Awesome people, guests and host
Typical youth hostel character
Nice rooms with bunk beds, no high standards, but comfortable
Self serve breakfast, kitchen to cook for yourselve
Good location, few minutes to city with the tram, big supermarket just across the street, several fast food restaurants nearby
David
The Hostel is very well located with respect to the center of the city although it's a bit difficult to find at first (is as in a corner it costs to see it). It has supermarkets and a Mcdonalds right at the entrance, very handy as it has a kitchen.

The owner is very kind and helps with everything. The rooms are standard and the shared showers.

It has a tram stop just at the side if needed.

Has a terrace and a washing machine for only 2'50€, it also has clotheslines to be able to draw the clothes.

The breakfast is included and you can take food that purchase for when you want to. There is free pasta or milk, for example.

At night, a little dark but cozy.
The best Hostel to spend a couple of nights in Cologne.
Gina
Always bear in mind, it is a great Hostel for little money - not a Hotel.

Room & toilet / bathroom :
Room (2 persons room) was Ok, partly noisy (walls are thin + ventilation in front of the window) , the mattresses were uncomfortable and hard.
Scarce i. O. - bed linen but sometimes spotty.
The bathroom is always trying to keep it clean. Absolutely OK.

Service + Staff :
Breakfast rather Sparse. Toast, Jams, Cornflackes.
Every day a point of view, cleaning takes place in the rooms.

Dear sympathetic staff. Happy to help - very friendly. Top!

Location:
Hostel + Parking hidden. However, the location of the hostel is Super ! In just a few minutes in the city center. To the Hostel around , the Pure night-life for relatively little money. Super !!
Shopping.

Conclusion:
For the small money and the perfect location, you can enter into quiet compromise. To recommend, would come again. (possibly with extra mattress :P )

The second star of the cheque only to the kindness of the staff. The worst hostel where I have ever set foot. Dirty, smelly, and the service offered really is dear! (I paid for 1 night in the mixed dormitory room 29 €, the price of gold to be a tavern!). They say that breakfast is included, but is not prepared, you have to have it alone; no problem, when you see how are stored the dishes, or you will go hungry or you decide to spend two euros at the Mc Cafe below. Flee!
