If god exists, he definitely steered me away from staying at this place. Here is how it went down: I booked a room here on Booking.com and when I needed to check on breakfast after an automated message in German and sent a slightly worried message with a confirmation, there was an "explosion" at the other side. The snobbish attitude and unwillingness to be nice to a potential guest shocked me. Then they went ahead and cancelled my reservation on their end. After reading the reviews of other guests, I can agree and summarise as follows: lack of professionalism, not giving a damn, conceitedness and rudeness. Also, as the other guests say, it's not worth if in terms of quality of the accommodation. I am so glad that I found a really awesome hotel instead of this one. Will never even look in the direction of this one.

Very rude staff at the reception! Insulted me just for asking for an invoice addressed to my company. When booking via Booking.com it was also showing a completely different location on the map. Would recommend any business traveler to avoid this place.

The location is good if you're going to an event in Mitsubishi Electric Hall, overall it's 15 mins from central railway station, 3 mins from Aldi and also the tram station is very close
What's not so good is the lack of amenities, it's practically nothing apart from shower gel
No slippers, toothbrush or hygiene kit

What an awful place. I stayed for three days and the internet never worked during my stay. I asked the receptionist about it and he told me he was aware that it wasn't working but that there was nothing he could do about it and moreover it wasn't his responsibility. So I asked him about checking out early in that case, since the website advertises internet, and he refused. Then when I was checking out the receptionist insisted I pay despite the fact that the booking was booked and paid by a third party. I had to insist that he call the third party, meanwhile he apparently got bored and got up to make himself a coffee while I stood there and waited, putting me in danger of missing my train. I suspect he was trying to get paid double. Stay away!

There is no insulation in the rooms, the sounds on the stairs are as if they were in the room, when the cleaning starts in the morning, you think he is in your room, there is no employee to return to, breakfast must be with the room, a simple breakfast, but ******* gave me the room at a high price without breakfast.

I booked this hotel via booking for a business trip in November 2023. I used my VISA credit card via the booking site. One day after having booked I got a phone call from the hotel saying they could not clear the credit card, so I gave them the number of another card and told them to call back in case there was again an issue. I did not hear back from them until the day before arrival, where I got a mail from booking saying they could not use my credit card, finally I got a mail from somebody (reception desk?) telling me to pay by wire transfer to an IBAN account. As I had never had mails from that address I asked them to provide me with the RIB. I got back a rude message in German saying they did not do that as it was an unusual request. I then cancelled the reservation via Booking and they refused.
1) The hotel is not suitable for international travel as they do not accept foreign credit cards, 2) They are slow in acting and communicate inappropriately, 3) They are rude, 4) Not providing appropriate bank information is shady.
The only reason I have not provided 0 starts is the option is not provided in google.

Excellent hotel with a touch of art and aesthetics with good taste for colours and styles . My room was very cosy , with several elegant pieces of Buddhist art and from Far East . Very clean, everywhere is very clean from the threshold of the street entrance till the last part of the building i walked on.
The owner is really a patron of arts . Maybe he is an architect or an artist. HOW TO ENTER THE BUILDING: I called the owner late in the evening for getting more information about the way to enter the building. He friendly gave me all the needed information. Actually it is very easy. After the reservation , on my phone I received an SMS message with a code number: outside the building there is a secured box. I dialed the code and the key immediately fell down inside the little hole of the box. SURROUNDINGS : the district is aresidential German -German area where families and salarymen live . It means in the evening there are NO parking spaces available on the near streets. I needed to park at one km distance, but it was not a big trouble for me. If you have time, please go to the near Josephplatz. NO ELEVATOR. Don't disappoint by yourself: if you carry heavy luggage, you must ask the reservation to offer you one of the rooms at the ground floor. FINAL COMMENTS :I recommend this hotel for its touch of unique personality. The owner really enjoys the art of hosting . I feel this hotel is really the passion of his life . Please respect this place and keep it clean.

Good location to the Music Halle if you are going to a show. Fairly quiet area. No elevator and stairs were steep and narrow so that makes heavy luggage an issue. No internet or Wifi anywhere but right on the main floor when you enter, which is a problem. The check-in is all self-done as there is no one there I ever saw for the day I was there. Rooms tiny, but OK. No airconditioning, which would be a problem in summer time for sure. I was there for one night for a show at the Music Halle and it was fine. Anything more than that would not have been ideal. Safe, clean neighborhood but nothing fancy. I would use the word "adequate" to describe the place and entire area, in general. It really is more of a guesthouse. Calling it a hotel is a stretch.

I do not often leave reviews but feel it is necessary to inform other people about my experience: Unfortunately, I was forced to cancel my booking for one large room (3 weeks prior to my planned arrival). The hotel insisted that they keep 90% of the payment and that they will only refund 10%! This is with giving 3 weeks notice! In addition, said hotel prefers that all communication takes place via email. In my opinion - the tone of their emails was very perfunctory and not in line with what I would (personally) consider good customer service. (Ps: they do mention their cancellation policy on the booking page but regardless of that fact, I was stunned about how inflexible they were to accommodate guests, especially during a time with a lot of events taking place that can disrupt travel plans (Covid and on-going flight cancellations across Europe)).
