I don't gonna rate this place with less stars, because it's not possible by default.
Old building, dirty and disgusting, smell of cigarette and more everywhere, insects on the beds, nobody speak English .
Probably the worst hotel I ever been in my life....at least ,the bar in front is very good!

If you want to have ruined day and the whole weekend - book this hotel.
We had confirmed booking for the room and when we came to hotel they said that they don't have free rooms and it's not their's problem cause we booked room using Booking.
Receptionist was really unpleasant, unprofessional and unfriendly.
She can't speak German nor English, she kept saying: Geld is nicht bei mir...

I got a booking on this Hotel and in the pictures was "very beautiful rooms" When I arrived at the Hotel, they give me the last room from the Hotel with THREE!!! BEDS!!! OMG! ? the room looks like ? smell like ? and the bathroom is ??

Very bad experience in this "HOTEL" maybe HOSTEL!
Eric
I was so surprised when I get in the hotel, the smoke smells in my room was so high that I had to sleep with the window open, also the bathroom is shared, and the hotel structure is very old, I moved to a new hotel even know that I have one more night there.

Very run down. The bathroom is in particularly poor condition. Some of the bed frames of the beds are broken and clean it is also. Positive: Wi-Fi and a refrigerator.

My stay at Hotel Komet was pleasant. I stayed for one night and on checking in I was given my key and shown to my room.

The room was simple and had shampoo and hand soap. It had a shower, a mirror, a wardrobe with clothes hangers. The hotel provides an ironing service too.

Rooms were very warm so needed to keep the window open at night. This can at times be quite noisy as the hotel is in the city.

Although there is a shower and a washbasin in the room the toilet is shared between everyone on that floor.

On appearance: The main entrance, stairwell and hallways could do with some renovation as these seem pretty run down.

The lift is to be frank an experience in its own right. If you are claustrophobic then I'd advise using the stairs. (2nd floor for main reception)

The restaurant/canteen area has been fully refurbished and decorated and gives a nice fresh feel in the morning.

The staff member on the desk even started making breakfast early for me as I had to leave early.

Breakfast is served at 0730.

Overall hotel komet is a place to lay your head. Located close to the local U stations and amenities. If you are looking for somewhere polished with all the extras then this is not the place for you. However if you are travelling through and stopping for a couple of days on a budget then it easily meets requirements.

My experience was very bad. I was robbed at 03.08.2016 on a room from a lady. The called the police, said it was a prostitute which pimps her instructions over the phone. She lived there in rooms 27 .A complaint has been filed. The police told me that this Hotel is pimp controlled and it is almost exclusively women from the street line is occupied. FINGER WAY .....

Kindness is not just because top is usually. The double room we had was not really at all.. for a Hotel room ..not even a private bathroom, but shared bathrooms on the floor, and the men and women mixed.. may not be.. and to feel good, it is also nothing at all.. Desk makes a really unprofessional impression, absolutely not Kolant!!!... And I'm not out exaggerating from my own Situation, but it is really not recommended ..the price is also definitely not fair.... are already familiar with some Hotels and this also should be only for a night, but it wasn't! Sorry, there are no photos, but you can beds almost with a prison room to compare... the room with the two wooden, carpet stained, Desk with chair and wardrobe.. a sink with a mirror, you can now hard-to - ..does not describe in the corridor of the floor there was not even light-which Worked.. we are not spoiled, but feel it is as simple as that! May be more likely in the rail Hostel .. but in Hostel rooms, you will feel comfortable, or at least you have a private bathroom, which doesn't have to be super, but you have one! Don't know if it is always like that..but arrived at 10 o'clock in the evening, and the door was ringing had to.. and only after a "stormy" ring the bell, then made times someone.. and when we arrived at the reception, came over it is not so as the guy would have had a lot of Stress! A good location, although the Hotel.. so is easy to reach from the main train station, but that's it actually, from my point of view!

The bed seemed to be used, hair on the pillows, everything is very simple. Two plus points: very fast Internet, and extremely reasonable price.
Joachim
Bad Internet. Rooms are noisy, you can hear everything from the street and neighboring rooms. Cleanliness could be better. Needs to be renovated. The room was not made during the day clean.
