Apple Hotel in Laganas

Besides the tremendous hygienic condition of the hotel and the elevated prices, the images of the structure are completely different from reality.
The worst thing about the room is the bathroom: if you are lucky, you can use water.
The only decent aspect of the location is the affordable and well-stock grocery store near the hotel.

Do not book this hotel.
Had to arrange for my daughter to move to another hotel for two nights before getting her home. She was covered in bed bug bites and had to clean her room with her room mates at one point. No fridge as promised on arrival. Bully boy boss thinks he can speak to girls in a manner that he would not dare to...if it was a man. I will hopefully visit Zante soon and pay him a visit to discuss further.

This hotel is certainly the worst I have ever stayed at. Images here represent it as bright and clean place but this cannot be any further from the truth. From the moment you enter the hotel's reception hall you see how worn-out and dirty the sofas and armchairs are. You see an unusable pool table with no balls or cues. There is nobody at reception desk and in fact the reception desk is not in the hotel at all, rather it is on the pool bar. When we entered the reception hall around noon there were plastic bags with clean laundry on the reception desk and on the floor next to it. Some of the bags were torn or had holes in them. Clearly there was nobody to put the laundry away. Inside the hotel hallways and rooms it is dark and depressing. In the rooms there was a single bath towel and only an upper bed sheet to sleep with (no blankets). Bath towels were changed only once during a 7-day stay period. Moreover, bed sheets were not changed even once. The fridge was dirty inside. Bath had mold on tile joints and corners. Shower cabin doors were broken and could not close. Limescale was allover. Shower head stand was broken, so I had to hold the shower head in hand. The hotel has no pipe water supply (common on the island) and both cold and hot water are delivered by tank trucks. Because of this, there were 3 evenings of our stay when we had no hot water. Moreover, there was one evening when there was neither hot, nor cold water. We complained to management about this and they said it was because a lot of new guests checked-in during that day and the water ran out. Additionally, the water tastes salty (although, not as salty as sea water.) Baths, do not have their own ventilation ducts, instead there is a windows opening to the hallway. Because of this during evenings and mornings the hallway was stinking of feces to the point that one could easily throw up. (Maybe that's the reason reception desk has moved to the pool bar). We got extra rolls of toilet paper once. There is an air conditioner in the room, but you have to pay 10 EUR per day in order to use it (nobody told us that in advance). One of the air conditioners was not blowing cold, because it needed freon refill. Although, this took 3 days for the management to fix, we didn't get 30 EUR payback. Once, air conditioners in all three of the rooms we were staying in didn't work for a day, because someone of the management tripped the main circuit breakers by mistake. This was resolved only after we complained for every room individually. Food and beverages on the pool bar are overpriced. A 330ml bottle of beer costs 5 EUR, while in the supermarket across the street same bottle costs 2 EUR. Caesar salad is made with mayonnaise and ordinary lettuce instead of Caesar sauce and Iceberg lettuce. Often some of the meals are not available to order because the kitchen has ran out of some of the ingredients (could not make us pizza because they ran out of dough). The cook at the pool bar/kitchen is also the owner of the hotel, which prevents him from responding quickly and adequately to complaints and requests. Finally, considering that the pool bar doubles as kitchen and reception, there is nobody to find and complain to at night. The pool area becomes self-made party place late at night with loud music and screams, making it nearly impossible to sleep.

Don't recommend this hotel. The rooms were disgusting and dirty. The shower didn't work properly and it was all rusty and the shower support was falling all the time. One of the pool didn't have any water in it and the other one was dirty and full with sand. They were not cleaning the room while our stay...they only came one time and gave us one more toilet paper and give us small towels. The hotel was smelling like garbage. The mattress was burnt with cigarettes and it was also hard like a brick. We didn't get any rest because of the mosquitos and also lizards coming in the room. They are charging €10/day for air conditioning and it wasn't even working sometimes. One morning we woke up and we didn't have any water working. The worst hotel I've ever been. I was searching the mattresses for bed bugs cause everything was so disgusting I was thinking there might be some of those as well. Even the bartender told us when he gave us the keys to go and check if we like the rooms because maybe we want to go somewhere else.
Horrible hotel. No one there to help you with anything, the reception is empty all the time.
