We came in October and even though it was nearing the end of the season the service was fantastic, couldn’t fault it. The resort was great, absolutely lovely beach and the staff are all wonderful

The hotel itself is a great property. Very clean, lovely pools and plenty of food and drink options available. The food inparticular is a very high standard

The answer we received was because it is high season, we stayed during September so in reality its end of season, we want to relieve as much traffic from the bars as possible and accelerate service

The location of the hotel is very good, and the room you booked has a sea view as soon as you open the door, and the beach is just a few steps away

There had been so many different options and everything was delicious! The pool and beach areas had been aswell nice with enough sunbeds! Overall, we really recommend it!

The food is exceptionally good and varied. The location is good; the beach is just a few steps from the hotel. Sun loungers and parasols are free all over the beach! We had a great time and would book again

Very friendly staff, perfect position near the beach, nice dinner with rice, pasta, meat and fish, lots of salads and vegetables. I really cannot understand why lots of people said never again

Excellent hotel close to the beach and also very convenient for the bus stop for Heraklion and the airport. Very reach breakfast and friendly staff. Comfortable beds and very clean rooms

The room is spacious and has all the amenities (shower and toilet), which are clean and functional. The mattress was a little too hard for us, but for a short stay, it wasn't too bothersome

The outdoor dining area was very cramped, as it was cordoned off. The reception area resembled a storage closet. The walk to the beach is truly just a few minutes' walk and a little piece of paradise

The pool was also very nice with a lifeguard accompanying it. One of the best things about the hotel is the location, there is a big supermarket in front of it and a lidl 2 minutes walk

There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which made transportation to and from Heraklion simple and fast. Hotel is 10 minutes drive to the airport. Had a wonderful first time experience here

Despite the noise from a group of like 50 people (sounds insane but it was) it was difficult for staff to handle but they handled it great. We had no complaints about noise

As soon as we had a first look of the hotel and came inside I was greeted with some amazing staff and made us feel very comfortable for our first time, then as we made it to our room we felt so heartwarming with how clean they tidied the room for us! Then as we woke up in the morning we went and had a absolute delicious breakfast with a variety of choices

The rooms are spacious with a nice balcony - rooms are cleaned everyday and towels are changed every 2 days. The air con worked perfectly too which is vital in the scorching Greek weather

We stayed for 10 nights and had a great time. Fantastic service with all the staff being friendly and helpful. Pool was really clean and nice. Very close to supermarkets, restaurants and specialty the beach

Cosy and relatively small, Castro is located on a five minute walk from Ammoudara Beach and has a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus comes every 30 minutes so it take 20 minutes max to Heraklion city center

Also located very close to the airport, so transfer is quick and easy via bus, shuttle or taxi. There is a rent a car next to the hotel for those willing to cruise along the beaches of the island

Great outdoor pool, clean and neat, friendly staff. Food is very good, with Maxim restaurant at the street level and has a very nice terrace

We was last year 2024, all was ok special the food , the rooms was clean, but the furniture was outdated and the bathroom with the open shower wasn't very good. We only had breakfast, which is very ok

The hotel and the staff were very professional and always positive. They were very kind and welcoming. What’s a bit annoying are the showers, which are quite narrow, but overall, I recommend it

Overall, this is not a polished resort experience, but if you value direct beach access, a suitable pool, friendly hosts, and are comfortable with some quirks, it can be a pleasant stay

I spent a week at this hotel during the summer of 2025, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Waking up to the stunning sea view just steps away was a dream

Don’t be confused with the bad reviews. It’s a great place right next to the beach. If you look for smth hip and modern but soulless that’s not for you

Tsagarakis Beach Hotel is best described as a tired high-rise building that operates more like a bed and breakfast than a resort

We keep coming to Georgia's Garden hotel and, each time, with the same great pleasure. We love swimming in the sea and smooth sand beach, which is just 200m from the hotel

A perfect way to start the day 😀 If we do not go to the beach, we swim in the pool, enjoy a cocktail or walk around to souvenir shops or take the bus to the city centre

When we checked in we were graciously upgraded to a suite in another building with access to another resort and pool. All the staff were very friendly in all areas which made our stay very enjoyable

Teams were excellent, services were excellent, but the mattress in the sofa bed was appalling. Otherwise, it's perfect for a couple or a family, it's near the beach, near lots of restaurants and bars.

Anything you need, just ask the friendly staff and they will help you gladly: booking excursions, a massage, ordering a taxi, renting a car, tourist information, you name it

In the evening we enjoy a nice dinner or just a drink or cocktail at the bar, sometimes also chatting with guests from all over the world. We even made good friends here

But over the street is a nice restaurant so I recommend eating there. There is a nice pool with quite deep and clean water. I just expected it to be allowed to swimm there later in the evening than 18

The location seemed a bit far to me because it was off-season...but it could be very good during the season.

The stay was nice! As for 2 star hotel it was really good! The room was good (not long renovated). The only problem was food, pool and cleaning of the room

Rate 5/10 -Pool i dont know if they cleaned it well or not but most of time it was not really clean from the water look, leafs in it, so we didn't even went in it

So the cleaning would be 5/10. Overall, i would rate the stay good. The place was pretty nice renovated. The location was good too near beach (10min walk). Bus stop close and market too

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and had a very positive experience. The location is 2 minutes walk to a big beach. Many delicious restaurants are within easy walking distance

All in all the hotel far exceeds the sufficiency, the structure is slightly far from the pedestrian centre, but there is a bus stop a few minutes walk away with which you can reach the small center where there are various shops and bars located here and there or with plenty of half an hour by bus with more traffic to reach the center of Heracleo, in terms of services and food the hotel falls within...

I didn’t expect much from this vacation since I hadn’t been to the sea for a long time. It was supposed to be a proper rest after a tough year

Unfortunately, we don’t have any photos with the animators :( We didn’t spend much time on our phones during the holiday, which is probably a good thing! So at least we’re sharing some photos of this beautiful place — from stunning beach sunsets to the gorgeous pool with mountain views

Very nice location close to Heraklion. There is hop on, hop off bus for sight seeing just in front of hotel. Hotel has pool, small pool with slides, it is close to beach

The location was great, everything close by. Above all, I must thank the animators for their amazing work. They managed to get even people involved who usually wouldn’t participate. It’s clear they do their job well

Free sunbeds and umbrellas, pool is large and up to 2,90m deep. Included breakfast typically Greek: olives, feta, watermelon, yoghurt and honey,. Furthermore two types of cold cuts, cheese, cereals, scrambled eggs

We stayed at Hotel Gorgona for 7 nights and we enjoyed it very much. We absolutely loved the swimming pool and the lush garden, which is truly beautiful. The beach is very close and looks great, with fine sand

3 minutes to the beach: ammos beach bar sells TWO sunbeds and umbrella for 3€ daily - incredible. There are also pavillons for 10€, and you get fruits, juice and water. Some nice restaurants and shops around

On the day of our departure, they kindly asked what time our flight was, and since it was very late in the evening, they offered us a room to stay in and let us enjoy the pool for the whole day — incredibly thoughtful!❤️ On top of all that, the price is excellent! Highly recommend!

Pool bar was open every day (serving drinks, Greek snacks, icecream, coffee; also pasta), and VERY cheap: ouzo 1,50€ ? Pool open from 1000-2000, no night swimming, quite common times

A very nice Hotel, clean and fresh, with excellent service, and the beautiful garden with huge and sheltered swimming pool.

It was an awesome experience, they have really nice rooms, very kind staff and on top of that wonderful pool and beach where you can stay and enjoy your vacation.

Recommend getting the breakfast included option. It's worth it! Dining and pool are located in a hotel just 2 minutes to walk from the hotel, which is right next to the beach

This is nice mini hotel located on the beach just a bit outside of city centre. Rooms 401 and 402 specious and well set up. Good to stay for weekend or a week. Recommend to try.

As world travelers for many years, we believe that Nuevo Crete by the sea is truly a hidden gem in Heraklion that made our stay one of the best vacations we ever experienced

The Nuevo suites have ample and safe parking on site and is only a five-minute walk to the most beautiful and relaxing beach, with sand, clear warm water, and cool vibes

I ate lunch here and from the extensive menu, which contained options of salad / fish / meat / vegetarian dishes, I chose the mixed seafood salad, together with a small beer

Mr Christos is an amazing manager and he'll take care of your every need. The location is amazing and the beach is a paradise. The location is great and very safe

The main restaurant is indoors adjacent to the hotel, whilst the popular section is outdoors across a narrow access road, directly on the beachfront

In relation price vesus quality we recommended this hotel. It is simple hotel but is quiet, have a pool and is near the beach (350m). Our room have a fridge and it is posible to have hot water to make a tea or coffee

I really liked the people in the hotel, they are authentic and smiling with you every second while speaking, I felt at home, the pool is small but clean, my only concern is the location but you have public transportation and you can order freenow(app) as well, I really enjoyed the trip here in Crete

Value for money, the room was clean and spacious enough. Very basic amenities, small balcony, no elevator, has an outdoor pool, has a parking. Short driving distance from the city center.

The owners are giving their hearts to this business. They have the cutest dog also, who is very polite and silent. I feel like we have read so many bad comments which were undeserved for this place

Rooms in very good condition, I would have preferred more furniture in the room and the shower was also not working the best

Today we were in this restaurant on our last day in Crete and I really regret that we didn't discover this place before. We ordered the pizza and it was very good. But even better was the service

We had a day room before our late flight departure. The hotel definitely needs reservations. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. We really liked the pool, probably the best pool for doing laps in the area

Great location right by the sea with free umbrellas and beach chairs. Great place for kids, the playground is right next to the apartments, the swimming pool was in the neighbouring hotel for free just couple meters away

Great value family run hotel with great views (we got a free upgrade to the best sea view room). Generally great value for money and easy to get to Heraklion (bus stop next to the hotel)
