Gorgona Hotel in Amoudara

We stayed at Hotel Gorgona for 7 nights and we enjoyed it very much. We absolutely loved the swimming pool and the lush garden, which is truly beautiful. The beach is very close and looks great, with fine sand.

Although the breakfast is the same every day, it’s very tasty.

The best part of our stay was definitely the staff, who are among the friendliest we’ve ever met in a hotel. On the day of our departure, they kindly asked what time our flight was, and since it was very late in the evening, they offered us a room to stay in and let us enjoy the pool for the whole day — incredibly thoughtful!❤️

On top of all that, the price is excellent!

Nice hotel.
Most comments complain about the rooms and the breakfast.
1. The rooms are small - but more than enough for 2 persons ON HOLIDAY. The bedsheets are really clean. (You sleep there, you don’t move there)
2. The breakfast is not variated - Boiled eggs, omelet, sausages, beans, various pastry, cheese, cereals, milk, fresh vegetables etc… - i wonder what are they eating at home the ones that complain?

Overall grade is 9.5.

It's a well placed hotel. Not too far to the center and not too close also, its positioned in a rather active road full of shops and restaurants for all flavors. The personal is very cordial and friendly. The hotel pool is a big plus for the evening when you're too tired to go out.

Simple yet very clean and nice accomodations. Nice and upgraded modern bathroom. Big swimming pool with a lovely garden area around it. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was really good with fresh eggs from the same day. It was a very nice place to stay close to the beach and frequent local busses to city centre. Good value stay.

A very nice Hotel, clean and fresh, with excellent service, and the beautiful garden with huge and sheltered swimming pool.

Cosy, caring, children loving personnel.. Pool bar was open every day (serving drinks, Greek snacks, icecream, coffee; also pasta), and VERY cheap: ouzo 1,50€ ? Pool open from 1000-2000, no night swimming, quite common times. Free sunbeds and umbrellas, pool is large and up to 2,90m deep. Included breakfast typically Greek: olives, feta, watermelon, yoghurt and honey,.. Furthermore two types of cold cuts, cheese, cereals, scrambled eggs.. Lemonade, coffee, tea.. Free WiFi all over the place, sometimes electricity was missing due to local powerplant - issues. Rooms including safes, but are only powered with the room key, which you can't leave there (to charge devices), but it's even better so in the holidays.
3 minutes to the beach: ammos beach bar sells TWO sunbeds and umbrella for 3€ daily - incredible. There are also pavillons for 10€, and you get fruits, juice and water.
Some nice restaurants and shops around.
Really nothing to worry about.

Lovely quiet place, ideal for family. Cozy place. Friendly and kind stuff. Clear rooms. The street is really noisy, but it wasn't problem for us :). Just enjoy everything else!

The hotel itself what you'd expect for the price. Rooms are clean and tidy if a bit dated. Breakfast is good as is the pool. Staff are excellent, very welcoming and helpful fixing any issues immediately.
