Emi Seaside in Amoudara

Wonderful stay, great location, with welcoming and helpful hosts. I booked one night for my family, and stayed a couple of nights as a solo traveler, and it was ideal. Great private beach, comfortable and clean rooms, delicious breakfast and tiropitas, bar access for the pool or the beach. Great place to hang out, also close to the airport, Knossos, and the old city. Would highly recommend.

Hotel is right on the beach, pool, breakfast area and the rooms are immaculate. Cleaned and changed the sheets and towels everyday and staff were incredibly friendly.

If you are looking for a good budget option not too far from Heraklion this could suit you well. The place has direct access to a sandy beach and a pool area. A simple breakfast was included in our package. The rooms are a decent size and they were clean. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have blackout curtains for a good night’s sleep. Giorgos was very kind and helpful. He pointed us to some very good dining options in the area and his advice was thorough and accurate.

Ammoudara reminds me of a budget Florida beach town: a little crowded, a little disappointing. When booking, I wasn’t aware there would be smokestacks from a coal-fired power plant 3km to the west. To be clear, I never smelled anything, nor did I see them smoking but they were there, and I wish I had known that before I booked.

The price is good and place is reasonably close to Heraklion and Knossos, and there are easy transit options into the old town if you prefer to not drive.

Had an amazing experience at emi and loved our holiday here. George and his family creates an amazing atmosphere and you feel really welcome. The breakfeast was also really good and the rooms were clean and newly renovated.

We had a wonderful stay at Emi Sea Side! The hotel itstelf it´s very comfortable, all rooms are equpated with airconditions and they have plenty space. The breakfast is more than enough for a day at the beach, everything you need is there. The pool area is perfect for relaxing after the beach, but the real gem of this hotel is its private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas included. On top of that, the beach service is excellent, you can even order from the bech and they will bring this to you directly on the beach. But the true gem here it´s the family atmosphere that Georg and his familiy create. He it´s all the time trying to help you or making you fell comfortable. His kindness and dedication made our stay unforgettable. Also want to mention George’s parents, who are always present and involved in the hotel. They care deeply about every detail, and George’s mother cooks everything with such passion, the food it´s incredibly good. If you have the oportunitie don´t hesitate to chose this hotel it´s realy nice and recomendable.

Staying at EMI Seaside was absolutely amazing! The sea view is breathtaking, the owners are incredibly kind and helpful, and the atmosphere makes you feel at home right away. This hotel truly deserves more stars. The only regret we had was staying just one night – we wish we had discovered this place earlier! You have everything in the area around the hotel. If you want to discover Creta it’s one of the place to come !

Excellent stay! Spacious, spotless rooms and a great breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. The hotel has its own beach access with free sunbeds and umbrellas, plus a lovely pool deck with bar service. What makes the place truly special is George and his family – always warm, attentive, and ready to help with any detail or unexpected situation. Their hospitality made our holiday unforgettable. Highly recommended – I would definitely come back!

Great people, relaxed vibe with very easy access to the sea. Rooms are large with everything you might need! The breakfast is very good as well with fresh fruit and eggs.
