Troulis Seaside in Amoudara

We've been here for years now. Always a warm and friendly welcome. The breakfasts are European-standard, and we love them. The owner is warm and helpful. We'll be back again and again...

I want to recommend 'Troulis Apartments', first, we had a great connection with Maria, the owner, she reached to us and informed us about every little details, from how to arrive from the airport to witch beach to go and what to visit. That was really great and I appreciate those little things. The apartment was clean, everything was there from the list on booking and it was cleaned every day and the towels and bed linen were changed every two days. There is a possibility to have breakfast, additional charge, I could also recommend. The main thing is it's closeness to the beach, which is really great. I had a great stay there and will consider staying if I come to Heraklion again. Thank you and stay the same.

To enjoy breakfast on the studio apartment balcony. Easy to relax with a home made coffee with a view. And you're always treated like family.

It was so good to be back at my favorite place in Crete. Mr. and Ms. Troulis are some of the best mom & pop hosts I've ever known. I haven't been back to my regular hangout in 3 years due to COVID. I sure missed the place! Usually, I give them 5 stars because the hotel is directly on the beach and the employees are warm and welcoming. This year, I had two unpleasant experiences at the restaurant which is under new management. The new manager is quite rude and unpleasant. I gave him a second try with the same results. But that won't deter me from the beach at Troulis!!

Troulis Apartments is a family-owned and operated hotel located in Amoudara, Crete. The hotel is just a few steps from the beach and has a swimming pool, a restaurant, and a bar. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I stayed at Troulis Apartments for a week in August 2023 and had a great time. The room was spacious and had a balcony with a view of the sea. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was clean and had a shower.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, but it is still close to all the amenities you need. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance, and the beach is just a few steps away.

The staff at Troulis Apartments is friendly and helpful. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have a pleasant stay. They can provide you with information about the area, book tours and excursions, or help you with anything else you need.

The Troulis Apartments are family owned and managed. The Troulis family is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The air conditioning works great but they've gone to solar power for heating the water. The water never gets really hot but it's bearable. The restaurant, "Waves" is better than last year but still not my first choice for dining on the island.

The location is great, right by the coast and the view from the balcony is also very nice. Despite the fact that the apartment is above the restaurant, it is still pleasantly quiet.
In the apartment, I was a little disappointed by the shower (it was very very small) and by the kitchen, which was not equipped enough with utensils/accessories.
Apart from that, I was very satisfied with the air conditioning and the big enough comfortable bed. Also, the host is very friendly and flexible, and the rest of the staff are also very friendly. It is also very good that breakfast can be included in price.

About restaurants and beach:
Besides the restaurant under the apartments, there is another one nearby and both of them offer very good food.
The beach is beautiful, although it is exposed to the winds, so there are many big waves.
