Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort in Maleme

We have just booked to come again in 2026 which will be around our 18th holiday to this hotel. We have always loved coming here. The changes that have been made over the last few years are huge. We loved it before but now it’s brought a whole new level. The food is so good. There is so much choice and everyone is catered for in my opinion. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The staff always go above and beyond and always make our holidays the best. We wouldn’t be going back this many times if we didn’t have a fabulous holiday.

We’ve just come back from the Atlantica Ocean Beach and had the best holiday. My 2 boys (7&9) loved the kids club and the staff were fantastic. They were excited to go every day and did activities such as go karting, mini golf, treasure hunts and watching films. All the staff around the hotel were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. The food is very good and better than a lot of 5 star resorts we have visited. The A’la carte Greek and Asian restaurants are amazing with the food and service excellent. The team at the Greek restaurant helped surprise my husband with a birthday cake on our first night too. My sons loved the water slides and pool and the evening entertainment was fun. Our favourite was the white party disco. Although the location is remote and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area the hotel is big enough without feeling trapped. We would definitely visit again

We loved this place! We came to visit from Germany with our two kids (ages 5 and 8). The animation team and the activity courses were fantastic — I especially enjoyed the Pilates and the light and refreshing Aqua Fitness sessions. Everything was very clean. We had a room with an ocean view, and the beach was also very clean, beautiful, and not too crowded — we really hope it stays that way because we plan to come again. We stayed for a week, and our kids loved the kids’ club activities as well. The pool had a great depth for both children and adults. The food was also good, with plenty of choices. We couldn’t really try the Greek restaurant because it was fully booked three days in advance. The Asian restaurant was just okay — the service was excellent, but the food options were a bit limited. We expected more sushi there. All in all, a very positive experience!

5* hotel/holiday. Booked as going to a wedding in Chania but wanted an all inclusive as travelled with my 6 year old. We were about 30 minutes out from Chania Old Town. The hotel is incredible. Very clean, modern and exactly like the photos show. The staff here were great. From the entertainment staff, to the reception staff, chefs, maids, bar staff etc. Each were helpful and friendly. The heart of this hotel is the staff at the kids club. My daughter cried because she didn’t want to leave the staff. They were the most amazing women and were so attentive to my daughter but also every other child who went to kids club. My daughter doesn’t enjoy going to kids club, she’s rather be with us in the pool. We couldn’t get her out of kids club. She asked every day to go. The range of activities from face paining to movies to crazy golf was incredible. It gets them out of the sun and added bonus I got to spend some quality time with my husband. My daughter took a shining to kids club staff ‘Victoria’ who was so lovely. The food here was the best food we’ve had at an all inclusive. The drinks (coffee/beer/soft drinks) were all help yourself so no queue. The pools were great and so were the slides. The fact there’s a beach linked to this hotel was lovely. We’d walk the 20 steps it took each night and listen and watch the waves come in. The fire show was amazing! We have never repeated any hotel stay as we always want to try somewhere different, but before we even left the hotel, we’d booked again for next year to stay for 10 days instead of 7. Thank you for an amazing stay. We cannot wait to come back next year!

Everything was amazing. The room was perfect , with direct access to the pool. George was fabulous, took care of us throughout our vacation. He prepared a dinner plan for us, each day at a different à la carte restaurant, and the breakfast he ordered was just perfect, breakfast swim to us in the pool, straight to the terrace. Perfect food, perfect entertainment, we really like silence disco ant painting on the rocks. It is perfect hotel!

Wow what can I say - so so grateful to all of the teams that work so hard to keep the experience of this beautiful place perfect 🫶🏻 the whole place is so clean and the food has been on point all week (grateful to the lady on the ice cream stall - she smashed it with teddys daily banana ice cream requests😆)! Entertainment crew you lot are little heroes: Livi, Hannes, Amalia, Corin, Chris, Yanina, Karolina you have all made this holiday fun fun fun for us adults as well as the pre-teen 🫶🏻 obviously helped that i got a diploma for being best runner up 🤣 If you suffer with back ache i would suggest asking for a mattress topper for the bed as they can be quite hard. Reception are very accommodating including requests for a packed lunch for excursions days which have to be ordered before 7pm the night before and are collected from the restaurant. I repeat, this holiday has been everything I could have asked for being that it is my first all inclusive holiday and we are already researching alternative locations within the same group for next year 👌🏻

We stayed at Atlantica for a week from the 17th October as a family of 4 with 2 young children. We are not always huge fans of all inclusive but Atlantica restored our faith. Key highlights for us were:- - the staff went out of their way and made our stay special. Alpida was fabulous from the moment that we met her. Making a very special bond with our daughters and even coming in before her shift to wave us off home. Maria was very professional and went out of her way to get us a booking for the Greek restaurant. Mananna was always friendly and kind to the children. Ritsa made the girls time in kids club very special. Atonis was our favourite bar man and made our trip memorable. The entertainments team were also all lovely. - The evening kids disco and entertainment. The DJ was very kind and took lots of requests (mainly K-Pop!) we also won a massage from bingo which was fab! - The hotel was lovely and modern with lots of facilities. - We had a suite which was larger than expected and gave us sea views with 2 x private sun beads. It was modern and clean with fresh towels and mopped floors daily. - The Greek restaurant was great with Al a carte options. It was that good we paid to go back! - There were lots of drinks options included in the all inclusive and despite lots of reviews saying the cocktails are very sweet I think this is down to what people are choosing - there are lots of options with less syrups etc. - There were lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’re not huge fans of a buffet but mostly found nice things to eat with the lamb chops being particularly good (and cooked fresh!) - The pools, whilst on the cold side, were great. The main pool had a very shallow end making it great for the little ones in addition to the dedicated kids pools. The only minor improvement is that we noticed that the pool area wasn’t cleaned daily. There were pool toys and leaflets left there for days but this is something that can be easily addressed. Overall this was a fabulous trip in a modern hotel. It was great for the children and as adults we managed to relax which makes a lovely change.

Perfect in every way! We visited as a family of four in October, with our two children age 6 and 10. From start to finish the hospitality was wonderful, such kind and caring staff who can’t do enough for you. The photo’s don’t do it justice. The resort is beautifully maintained, super clean and well cared for. It is spacious, modern and bright. We got a standard room with sea view, it was more than big enough. I don’t understand the reviews that complain about the size. The rooms are modern and cleaned daily. The sea view was wonderful, unspoilt and so worth the extra money. The food is plentiful, fresh and varied. We didn’t eat in the a la carte restaurants as the buffet suits us better so can’t comment on those. The main buffet has a different theme every night so again don’t understand the reviews that say the food is monotonous. The snack bar is fantastic! Amazing chicken gyros, Greek salads, pasta and pizza! They are always making more pizza! The slides are amazing and the life guards are so much fun! We struggled to get our children away from the pool :) We recommend the bus into Chania, only 2.50 euros per person. We also recommend the little fun train, we only did one tour but would have loved to do more. Thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful stay. We would not hesitate to book again :)

We had a great one week All Inclusive October 15th - 23rd. Great food, great pool area, great area at the beach , great entertainment team, great food court , great bars, great receptions desk. Great costumer care. *Tip — bring swim shoes for the beach or buy at the convenient little hotel shop the Summer Stores, where you also find souvenirs, toys , wine, spirits , soft drinks etc. What really made us very happy was that when we arrived @ around 10.30 AM (10.30) »it's early 'cause the check in start at 03.00 PM (15.00)« we received our All Inclusive wristbands n' beach towel cards so we immediately could enjoy food, drinks, beach towels n' sunbeds, pool n' beach. We just put our luggage in the luggage room and packed a beach bag. After a very tasty lunch we picked up our beach towels at the spa and changed into our swimwear and went to the beach for the warm Aegean sea. Had our first vacation drink at the Breeze, the great pool bar. — Why not try a shot of the local alcohol Tsikoudia? (Greek: τσικουδιά ) sometimes referred to as "Crete Raki" but it has not the anis / licorice taste of Turkish Rakı or Greek mainland Ouzo. But beware — when I had the first one my gums went numb x ) — they also serve ice cream, coffe n' sodas. *Clean pebble gravel sand beach. *Huge n' clever shaped pool. *Water park with several slides n' tubes for older children n' daring adults. *Water park for younger children. *Water Park for toddlers. *Comfy sunbeds. *Huge pool area. *Staff constantly keeping the area tidy n' clean. * Great entertainment teams for all ages. — Yoga, water polo, games, spa, gym, tennis, pool and much more. *Great food at main buffe restaurant Samaria, for breakfast, lunch n' dinner. — different theme buffet every night. — delicious sea food, great lamb chops, tasty chicken piccata, salads and much much more. Of course they also got pasta n' fries/ chips n' burgers n' fish fingers etc. *Awesome gyros, fresh salads, pizza, burgers at the food court Grab and Go. * Two restaurants where you make reservations included in the all inclusive; — Oregano, Greek flavours — Jasmine, Asian flavours *A mini-supermarket across the street from the hotel with swim and beach wear , clothes , wines, spirits , groceries and more. *Bus stop right outside the hotel for the local bus to Chania , 50 minutes ride about $2.90 (2.50€) *Grocery store SYNKA Supermarket only 0,59 mi (950 meters) from the hotel.
