Had booked happy days for a break and after reading some of the reviews was wondering what I had done 😱 well I had booked a brilliant stay at a lovely hotel where the room was immaculate ,spotless , had everything you could need including booklet in several languages explaining the rules and other things about hotel

I came home early hours of this morning and I had the best time here. i was so relaxed and chilled here. The family will do anything to help you. i had a walk to the main beach,which took me 30 minutes walking

I can see why they ask everyone to be quiet on balcony's after 11pm as some people do go to bed early and want to sleep without being disturbed. It's in an ideal spot 10 minute stroll away from the strip

there is lots of shops on the way down and places to eat and drink. i got a taxi to potamos beach,which is beautiful. All in all I'd definitely go back

If you want to interact just go to bar, quiet time no problems, well looked after and the best thing I can say, looking forward going back there

Staff were lovely food amazing and cocktails 🍸 good and everything so cheap. 8euro for a pawnstar Martini 4 for large draft beer 🍺

This accomodation is very clean and most of all, the owners and staff are very hospitable. The pool and bar area are also well kept. We appreciate that there is security in the evening and it is relaxed and quiet

We felt safe and slept well throughout our holiday. Even if we have to pay extra cost for the airconditioning, I think all in all, we got more than what we paid for. excellent service and lovely team

Theoni appartments is a walking distance to the old village, main strip, bus stop, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. We even just walk to go to the beaches

Very clean and friendly Hotel! The pool area is very clean and the hotel is calm and the rooms have everything which is needed for a trip

The people there are very friendly and explain everything very properly and patiently. Will definitely come back again!

Good location , quiet gardens ,decent WiFi Hot water , spacious room terrace outside too.

Golden Sun Boutique

Room was also well appointed with new furniture and nice touches such as air conditioning and a good quality hair dryer. The pool area was large, well maintained and offers plenty of quality sun beds

We stopped one night, passing through, and had a great time. The structure is small and is made up of a series of "houses" around the swimming pool and the snack bar

The room was favourably located in a secluded position away from the road with an easy walk to the town, best restaurants and supermarkets

The price is really low for this type of accommodation

Our overall experience was good, however the reason that I give it only 4 stars is that there were material/structural improvements that could have improved our stay

The key switched everything off when removed from its slot inside the room, which was annoying, so, we had to use our phone lights to lock and unlock the door, that had a massive hole at the bottom where our mosquito visitors came in at night lol

We had a lovely stay here, end of season so very quiet, Our studio was spotless apart from the cutlery tray that was on a shelf in the kitchen cupboard which didn't look like it had been touched for years ! We found the beds rather hard and the shower was a bit of a squeeze but the room size was very good and we had a lovely balcony with views of sea and mountains, fabulous pool again all aspects of...

About a 5 minute walk to the shop which is fine, although quite difficult in the midday sun- would suggest going for the daily shopping run, or in our case the daily pre-lash of drinks run, until late evening

The pool is lovely, was very quiet so was almost like having a private pool to ourselves. Very quiet surroundings, made our holiday nice and relaxing during the day

Food at the pool bar is very well priced, the workers are very friendly although the security guard didn't appreciate us coming home at 6am and making loud noises

If you don't want loud pounding music playing 24/7, this is the best hotel i'd recommend in Malia! Would definitely go back!

It's just a little set back from the strip, about a 10-15 minute walk but the quality of the apartments makes it worth it

We spent a relaxed and enjoyable week at golden bay hotel . We you want a relaxing break we recommend it . We will be back !!!

Had a wonderful week at the Golden Bay hotel. Would recommend if you want a quiet week chilling. Lovely rooms most with pool view. Excellent staff that look after you well. Nothing is too much trouble for them

Clean and spacious rooms with decent bed (not the most comfy lounges for those with kids needing to sleep there but ok)

The walk to the beach is also something to be happy about, because is just few minutes away and the beach is clean with beautiful sea

Great location very close to beaches and Malia strip, but also in a quiet area, so you can properly rest! Lovely room with sea view, which was big and had all we needed! House keeping was literally everyday! The host, Akis was really helpful and friendly! We would love to come back!

It was pretty cool to step outside of my room, either through my front door, or from the corner of my deck, and see the Mediterranean Sea

We stayed as a group of 14 for 11 nights at Villa Mare Monte, which is about a 15-minute walk to the old town and set in the hills with beautiful views of both the mountains and the sea

What can I say about our holiday in Crete, we stayed at the mare monte, run excellently by Kourla and her team. The apartments and grounds are kept very clean, the staff are amazing nothing was too much trouble

Absolutely amazing stay, we were a girl group of 3 and were made to feel so welcome and safe! Nothing was ever a bother and you could have a laugh with the staff and other guests here

The manager was always approachable and helpfully pointed us to a local supermarket that delivers groceries straight to your door—a bonus as I wouldn’t have fancied the uphill walk back with shopping bags! The hotel itself is spotless

Food was fresh and based on Greek dishes every night. Another bonus was that there is no sun-bed reserving and you were always able to find a sun-bed. Would definitely come back here again, 10/10

Mandy, Veron, and Electra kept us supplied with drinks, delicious food, and plenty of laughs. Air conditioning is available at an extra charge. Some families chose to use it, but our room was fine without

We visited just after the summer season as we had a baby with us and Maria was so kind and helpful, arranging a travel cot for us, and helping to spoil our little one rotten on her first ever holiday abroad

What a place to stay! Absolutely loved it. Petro, adonis and Maria was all amazing. Great for a lads or lasses holiday during busy season

Quiet (after the season finished!) little studio apartments, superbly run by Maria and her son

7 minutes easy stroll to a sandy beach, 10 mins easy stroll into town where you have “old malia” with the classic windy cobbled streets and tavernas or the “strip” with the nightclubs and bars on the other side of the town

We had a very good time! The appartment was in a good location, close to the strip, beaches and markets. The room was good and the cleaner came and clean it almost everyday! And it had a nice balcony with a good view

A very nice place with a lot of fun. Petros and Adonis behind the bar are so friendly and welcoming and are there to have fun with you aslong as the food is good and they accommodate perfectly for your needs

the rooms could do with some tlc, but it is the end of the season. The communal patio areas are superb, very comfortable & the pool is stunning, so clean

Just returned from Daneli’s after a week stay with family. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. The accommodation and grounds were clean. My kids loved playing in the rear garden and pool

Brothers, Makis & Nikos, the owners, are hilarious, a true double act who will keep you laughing with their 'one liners' Rooms are comfortable with more than enough space for us. Don't get me wrong, it's not 5*

The food was good and reasonably priced. The location was good, close to shops and a 10 min walk from the beach. The best thing about Daneli’s was the staff

Rooms, traditional and kept spotless, beds made and rooms cleaned on a daily bases. Large balcony with views of fields and in the background the sea

Fantastic location, 5 minutes walking distance to everything you need yet set in peacefull surroundings. Danelis is so unique, I've never stayed anywhere where so much thought has gone into a building and its amenities

Perfect location in Malia… private ground floor apartment with separate kitchen and balcony on the main strip. This beach is a 5min walk. Too good for the price!

Not bad. Very friendly host, Near to main road, very noisy.

Nice location and apartments are spacious and clean

Very simple and good value for money. Issues with hot water and aircon supplement, but well situated and friendly, helpful staff.

Everything was very good. Cleaning every other day. A pleasant stay, thank you.

Not too far from the main lively strip with lots of bars and restaurants, very close to the old town and bus station. A good size pool is available at the hotel including a strong wifi and a cute bar

We had the best time at this hotel. Me and my mother felt very welcomed by the owner and the staff. The room was very clean and we had everything that we needed

Vagelis collected us from the airport & was very welcoming. Hotel lovely location in Old Town. 1st floor room with balcony over pool area. Great view of mountains behind

Room clean & tidy, plenty of storage space & nice size. Tasty breakfast, staff friendly & explained menu alternatives. Self service drinks and food to table

Great location, big rooms, really clean, nice stuff. Breakfast has only 4 choices, but you will find something that suits you. You have to go for some time to reach the sea (like 20 mins)

We really enjoy our holiday in Sunshine Studio ☀️ The rooms is cleaned daily and the pool atmosphere is great and relaxing. The room is modern and has a kitchenette with all you need for preparing fast meals

Also a hair dryer and iron are available. The bed is big and comfortable so you will wake up daily ready for a day at the beach or for an interesting excursion in nature or to discover Crete history

Super nice host Niko, great info and help when needed very friendly. Everything is clean it's no hotel so no coffee tea etc in the room but its a studio so there is cooking equipment and fridge etc

We stayed only for one night but absolutely enjoyed the place. Quiet room, very clean and friendly.

Just go out and get a coffe around the corner :) Room cleaned everyday when hanger put on door

You can also purchase breakfast buffet or have a good cocktail at the pool bar

Very nice and cozy boutique hotel runned by a very nice family. Stayed one week with my 11 year old son. Good snorkeling and diving in the area. We will definitely go again.

From observation the regular rooms also all seemed to have a seaview or mountain balcony. The whole vibe of the hotel is relaxed and easy going, while paying attention to quality and service

Enjoyable stay We had a very enjoyable stay at Sun Village for 2 weeks. The staff were very friendly, the rooms very clean and the hotel very quiet considering how central it is to Malia.

This was our second visit to this hidden little gem & like the first time, it didn’t disappoint. We again stayed in the villas with our own private pool

So peaceful & relaxing whilst only being a short walk to the main strip & beach, perfect location. Very clean & comfortable, thank you to Marina & family for making our holiday amazing again

Set back from the road and about 400 metres from the beach it is an easy 5 minute walk into town. The hotel has a large pool set in gardens with ample sun beds and shaded areas
