This is my 4th visit to Creta Palace, my husband went many times, throughout his teens and early adulthood. We have two children, at the time of travel were 5 and 8. We have visited Creta Palace in 2022, 2023 and 2025
There are members of staff who have been at Creta Palace since my husband was a teenager (he's now 42!!) so you really get the family feel, they take so much pride in their work and it comes across
As a family we have travelled to other Greek resorts such as Ikos, so do have a certain level of expectation
Our last visit in August 2025 was different to the previous years, in that the hotel has clearly made investments in areas and there are improvements, to an already 5* hotel, but these did not go unnoticed
The staff are so busy but they are highly trained and the service cannot be faulted. Room wise - we have been a few times now so we know what suits us and booked the Ground Floor Deluxe Bungalow
The salad choices are immense - so good that you can have this as a main meal if you wish - I certainly did! For Lunch, the Brasserie and Beach bar are brilliant

The hotel is lovely, yes it does get busy with families in school holidays but that can be said of many places, the staff are all fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for their guests
We love them all and in all of our travels we have never found anywhere quite so comfortable and that makes us feel like we are at home while we are away. We will see you all next year
We stayed 4th to 14th September 2025 and as always our stay was fantastic
Another slight gripe was the mini-bar in the room was not always topped up and there was a charge for crisps and Nuts! Comfy bed and a great shower in the bathroom made for a comfortable stay, but do take a multi pot adapter, as there are not many sockets
You could get lunch bookings fairly easily, but the breakfasts were huge, so we skipped lunch most of the times. The food was generally very good and the service fantastic, considering how busy they were
People have mentioned that some of the rooms are dated which I don't understand because the room we booked was pretty much the same as the one pictured on the hotels and Jet2 s websites

There was no cover so it would spend all day heating up to about 36 degrees which was ok, wish it was warmer! Otherwise it was a great stay, I would just book a different room
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The pool was super nice as well as the beach and the breakfast was good
Beautiful hotel, very well looked after and maintained. Staff were all incredibly welcoming, helpful and progressional. Setting is stunning, direct access to the beach and walkable into the old town. Perfect get away
Fantastic beach for swimming!
Very relaxing hotel.
Everyone was very friendly and exceptionally helpful
Beautiful resort, clean, outstanding staff. Among the better places I’ve ever been. Highly recommended.
The staff was very friendly and the yoga teacher was excellent. The property is beautiful and the restaurant is very good. We were disappointed in the private outdoor hot tub because it really wasn't private

As regards food, we tended to have dinner out (it’s only a 5 minute taxi ride to the old town and there’s a rank about 20m from the hotel) but the pool bar was good for lunches and the buffet breakfasts in the restaurant were excellent
There’s also a water sports kiosk only 20m away, for parasailing, jet skis etc. The hotel has a nice pool (although a bit fresh!) and the week we were there, there was never any trouble in getting loungers
The best thing for us was the split level family room - twin beds and a shower room downstairs (plus balcony), with a king size and bathroom upstairs, both with a sea view
During our stay we didn’t see any towels reserving beds with an efficient and friendly lifeguard looking after the pool
Management are visible and check that guests are enjoying their stay. Medium size pool with comfy padded sunbeds
The sunbeds on the beach are free, however we found that more sunbeds had been added since last year and now too close together. We decided to walk 2 minutes down the beach and pay 7 Euros for more space and comfort

Rested at this hotel in the summer of 2012, the impressions are fresh still. Very nice hotel with great pool and rooms with kitchenette.
It was an amazing experience, the people are really nice. I got helped so well by Evdokia and found what suited me, and got my amazing massages from Ioanna. When I come back to Rethimno I Will come here again
Staying at the hotel for the second time we realized that is still a great hotel with some ups and downs. Ups: Service, location, pool, spacious room with kitchen and very friendly staff
The pool area is cozy and inviting, and everything was generally clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful, which is not always a given in Crete
It is worth to visit, I highly recommend it
Downs: The spa treatment are too expensive ( double the price of a regular treatment), coffee at breakfast is a disappointment and the beds are rather soft. Still worth going there but be aware of the downs
