Hotels with pool on first line in Rethymno

This time we stayed in two beautiful rooms: the Bungalow Suite Beach Front with Private Pool (No. 917) and the Panorama Sea View Junior Suite (No. Both were excellent choices that made our holiday even more special

This is my 4th visit to Creta Palace, my husband went many times, throughout his teens and early adulthood. We have two children, at the time of travel were 5 and 8. We have visited Creta Palace in 2022, 2023 and 2025

We spent more time this year in the beach bar and no words can describe the atmosphere here. Everything about it, the view, the decor, the ambiance

There are more luxurious selections in the main buffet (sea food in particular)

The salad choices are immense - so good that you can have this as a main meal if you wish - I certainly did! For Lunch, the Brasserie and Beach bar are brilliant

In any event they are cleaned to a very high standard, turn down service is offered and we were perfectly comfortable. The pools are clean and maintained

Beaches are beautiful too! Wonderful resort for couples and families and we felt very safe to walk around be it during the day or evening. Hopefully will be back again some day!

A large hotel with usual facilities. Room was fine, though shower needs improvement as it wets the bathroom floor. Good choice of breakfast items. Location on main road not seafront so some road noise

The pool bar seemed to charge different prices when they changed staff for the evening shift. Mostly the staff were OK but one individual was quite rude to many of the guests in the dining room

The men's pool toilets should be closed off. Tiles broken and falling off the wall. As for the pool shower all I can say is Disgusting

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. I especially appreciated the helpfulness of the reception team, who were always ready to assist with a smile

The hospitality throughout my stay was exceptional – everyone went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home. The service was truly outstanding, with attention to every detail

Also not shown in photos is the Pearl beach that shares the facilities (pools and lunch time restaurant) which should be outlined in the hotel description Claims a 5 star hotel but would give3 star

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel. The hotel is situated across the road from the beach, with an approximate 30-40 minute flat walk to the old town of Rethymnon

The sunbeds on the beach are free, however we found that more sunbeds had been added since last year and now too close together. We decided to walk 2 minutes down the beach and pay 7 Euros for more space and comfort

During our stay we didn’t see any towels reserving beds with an efficient and friendly lifeguard looking after the pool

We had the most amazing time at the Aegean Pearl. Beautiful hotel in a great location right next to the beach. Staff were amazing and super friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious

We found the food at both breakfast and dinner excellent, even better than last year. A good variety of dishes that were well prepared and tasty. The staff are friendly, welcoming and a credit to the hotel

The pool is really small for the hotel size and the beach is at 7-10 minutes away, walking. Being a Greek beach, is stone-ish and steep, so is important to note that is not an golf with tranquil water

All in all it's definitely recommendable and good in price Quality

Anyway, the food was great, the best delicious food from breakfast to dinner! I hope they can change the pool rules soon. Thanks for our great holiday season!

The pool is small, but it is really okay. The problem is that some guests put towels so early and they are not even there to swim! The pool is for everyone who wants to swim, but many can't swim, for example, children

Some complaints about it, and management didn't do anything about it. Maybe they can at least put some rules that no reservations in the pool, no leaving of towels when the person is not there

My family and I have stayed at Nefeli twice, both times during the off-season. I highly recommend this hotel for its friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff

Great spot if you plan on taking a ferry to santorini, its a 20 minute walk. Breakfast was nice here. Only downside was paper thin walls on the first floor, youll be able to hear your neighbors if they are loud!

The hotel I booked included two meals, the taste was great, very satisfied. The fee for one more child is 48 euros. It is reasonable according to its facilities, I hope to have the opportunity to go there again next time

Wonderful hotel in good location. Just a short walk to the old town for shopping, dinning, etc.

We enjoyed our stay here. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. We are vegan and could always find healthy options. The staff are very professional and helpful. We also enjoyed the private beach.

It was about a 5-minute taxi ride from the bus station, we could use the beach in front, and our room was spacious and open, so we were able to relax

There was a pool inside the hotel, so we went for a swim to relax instead of getting a massage

The pools were great, some reviews complain about finding a sunbed but we did not find this to be the case, perhaps it depends on other guests. At the beginning of our stay the sunbeds by the main pool were taken by 7

30 although there were still some by the jasmine and octopus pools however by the latter part of our stay there were still sunbeds available by 10

We arrived late at night so it was very beautiful, we really liked the lighted pools! However, when we got to our hotel room it was a little disappointment. The furniture of the room was very out dated and dirty

Just Got back from a 11 Day Stay Here, With My Husband, Enjoyed Our Stay , Rooms Were Very Spacious and Clean , Breakfast was Very Good, And Most Of The Staff Were Lovely, I Would Have To Be Honest, We Found The Older Barman Not The Most Welcome, But Everyone Else was

We slept with the aircon on and the fan which was no problem. We had no problem with getting a sunbed and usually didn’t get to the pool until after 10am

Every part of the pool gets the sun eventually throughout the day. The onsite supermarket is well stocked and there are plenty of supermarkets on the seafront. Breakfast is €14 and plenty to choose from

Lovely location opposite the sea, small but pleasant pool. Our room had a small kitchenette with a sofa bed, which was very convenient.

My stay at Grecotel Plaza Beach House was outstanding. The staff was extremely welcoming, and looked after me during all my stay. Maria and Vassiliki that offered hospitality at the first place

Prices for parking are extremely friendly (we paid about two Euros for about 3 hours of parking. Thank you for having us as your guests and keep your smiles for your guests!

(sea view apartment) It wasn't build yesterday, but everything was fine, and I absolutely don't think it's out dated. The room was clean, and we had everything we needed

I love this hotel sooo much. Definitely rent a car for the trip, especially in the off season. And definitely stay at this hotel, no notes!

I find it hard to rate this hotel, because it is a bit of a mixed bag. The location is PERFECT, 50 m from the beach. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are outdated, but mostly clean

The hotel staff is nice, the food is delicious, the pool is a bit shallow but suitable for swimming, the hotel's location is excellent, there are many places around the hotel where we can eat various delicious meals, there's also a supermarket nearby, and the beach is practically right under the hotel

They say this hotel is only 3 stars. Staff was super nice and friendly, food was great, reallyclose to the beach and many interesting places to visit by foot. I wish i could live there, can't wait to visit again

Hotel provides small umbrella and towels for a beach. Breakfast is simple and a same each day. Location: The closest tavern is 700 m. You can visit many nice places and beaches if you have a car

An excellent hotel with very spacious rooms. The hotel is situated on a hillside with 3 separate lifts. The hotel has a small beach directly in front over the road which is really nice.

Beds were very comfortable and quite large. Service: staff and management were very nice and attentive. Maybe 2-3 bottles with water in the room on arrival will be nice for a 4* hotel. Pool: spacious enough and clean

Maybe they can work on small bits, especially because they said they're a 4* hotel: water in the rooms (on arrival and maybe during the stay), a bit more breakfast options, more diverse TV channels, coffee machines upgrades

Breakfast: fresh food and quite limited options. They usually alternate a bit the options on 2 days rotation. So, overall was a good hotel to stay in

Pool and beach area very nicely done, comfortable sun loungers. Few local taverns that were good if you don’t fancy the walk into town. We needed a relaxing break and everything was very easygoing

The room is large, the terrace pool and the view are very good, the pool is very clean, and the hotel's private beach is better than the beach next to it

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The pool was super nice as well as the beach and the breakfast was good

Only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because breakfast was the same thing everyday, I stayed there for 11 nights, and after a few days I got tired of eating the same thing

The staff was very friendly and the yoga teacher was excellent. The property is beautiful and the restaurant is very good. We were disappointed in the private outdoor hot tub because it really wasn't private

Great for families too with a children's pool and you don't have to cross a road to access the beach. There's also a good bus service into Rethymnon and lots of bars, restaurants, and hotels in Missiria

I did not stay at this hotel, just been to their beach and they got the most friendly and serviceminded staff at the beach. If possible, I would give 10 stars for their effort to make every guest feel good at the beach

Special big Thank to Georgios. We were met with a big smile every day, and they helped us with sunbeds, drinks and free water to make sure we did not dehydrate in the sun. I have no problems recommanding this place

It was our third stay in the hotel and we really enjoyed. A special thanks to the kind Sophia serving our cappuccino every evening. The massages in the hotel spa are also very good and the spa ladies are very nice

People are usually staying near pool, so almost all sunbeds are taken (and yes, some guests are still having the habit of leaving a towel on a sunbed but showing up 3 hours later)

On the bright sight, there is plenty of room on the beach and the view is 10 times better. The sea entry is rocky, so it’s better to have swimming shoes with you

But I strongly suggest booking a room with a pool view, where you can enjoy an evening or two on the balcony. We had different menus every day and the choice was just perfect, not too much and not too little

I stayed in this hotel for a week mid-August and it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Obviously, the rooms have everything you need and are very clean and modern

We also went to Rethymno for a day, which is 10 mins drive. The receptionist called us a taxi which cost us 10 euro

You’ll be able to find anything you want no matter whether you are vegetarian, pescatarian, carnivore etc

When you go out of the apartments, turn left and you are two minutes walk from the beach, turn right and you are two minutes walk to get to the supermarket, bars, restaurants, shops, taxi rank, car hire, bus stop, cash points etc

We had a wonderful stay at the Pinelopi Hotel in Platanes, Crete. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by Pinelopi and her friendly family-run team, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home

The shower had excellent water pressure, and the kitchenette was well equipped with everything we needed. The lovely pool area was clean and well-maintained with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas

The family run Hotel Pinelopi was immaculately clean and the pool area well kept and gorgeous. Location was brilliant: no noise at all but very close to town, beach and buses to get around

Perfect location for beach and restaurants. Pinelopi was very helpful and spoke excellent English. We loved our room with the 2 balconies, which kept the room cool at night. It was a very relaxing place to stay.

Plenty of sunbeds and parasols which were free to use and lots of beach towels available all day. This was a great bonus as many places charge for sunbeds etc

There are toilets and a shower available at the hotel when you are on the beach or terrace, which saves you having to go back to your room. Rethymno old town about 25 mins walk

Our room was large ,comfortable and very cool with the much needed air conditioning. Shower was a little small but still useable

Everything else worked, but the noise from the traffic on the adjacent road was disturbing. The great sea view and large balcony were a plus. Good breakfast and nice hostess.

The rooms have recently been renovated and are super clean. During the evenings we would often sit round the pool or on the rooftop and the staff would bring us ice, cups, spare chairs etc

In one night me and my friends where near the swimming pool at 12 in the night because it was my birthday and the owner surprised us with shots on the house and even brought a sparking candle and sang me happy birthday

Large common areas were perfect for working. You have to walk to the sea, the historic center, or the bus station, but it's all within walking distance. There's a great supermarket across the street

There was a kettle, hot water, comfortable beds, and excellent value for money. A photo from the bed was on the TV. There's a school across the street, and kids play and make noise during the day

Although we were not guests of the hotel, Panos welcomed us with such kindness and hospitality. By ordering drinks, we were allowed to use the wonderful sunbeds on the beach

The place could be better insulated to sound, but with a historical building, I am sure there are limitations. There are no elevators, so not ideal for people with mobility issues
