Prices for parking are extremely friendly (we paid about two Euros for about 3 hours of parking. Thank you for having us as your guests and keep your smiles for your guests!

Perfect location, lovely atmosphere, spacious rooms, very clean, quiet, excellent service from hotel personnel, good WiFi, sumptuous breakfast

I highly recommend this hotel as it offers privacy, hospitality at the highest place and also the location of the hotel is very close to the central square of Rethymnon

As far as the breakfast is concerned, it was full of very nice choices and the staff there was very approachable as well and took care of me

We had a wonderful week at this hotel. Room was good with a lovely sea view. In particular Michalis who greeted us when we arrived was very helpful and welcoming. Great location with the beach just across the road

I love this hotel sooo much. Definitely rent a car for the trip, especially in the off season. And definitely stay at this hotel, no notes!

But anyway - with some creativity one could reschedule and move to the beach area, where sunbeds were available for quite a fair price (Between 5 to 7 Euros per day for two sunbeds and a parasol)

I did not stay at this hotel, just been to their beach and they got the most friendly and serviceminded staff at the beach. If possible, I would give 10 stars for their effort to make every guest feel good at the beach

Everything is dedicated to the guests. We never met such a gently and polite people which are oriented to the guests service. This is place with excellent beach, shop inside the property with a prices as in the city

Special big Thank to Georgios. We were met with a big smile every day, and they helped us with sunbeds, drinks and free water to make sure we did not dehydrate in the sun. I have no problems recommanding this place

We enjoyed Noras daily Yoga sessions so much. She is one of the reasons we return every year

Everything felt fresh, thoughtful, and full of local flavor. The location is unbeatable — right on the beach — making it the perfect place to relax and soak up the atmosphere

Plenty of sunbeds and parasols which were free to use and lots of beach towels available all day. This was a great bonus as many places charge for sunbeds etc

There are toilets and a shower available at the hotel when you are on the beach or terrace, which saves you having to go back to your room. Rethymno old town about 25 mins walk

Thanks to her, we had one of the best dining experiences of our trip! The food at the hotel itself was just as memorable. The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the lunch we enjoyed was also excellent

Such a beautiful hotel we had a fantastic week there. All the staff were fabulous,nothing too much trouble. Eva the manager was fabulous,so friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is lovely and plentiful

We would get a taxi into town and take a slow walk back when it was cooler. Well worth doing as it's a beautiful town and the sunsets at the port are just amazing

Although we were not guests of the hotel, Panos welcomed us with such kindness and hospitality. By ordering drinks, we were allowed to use the wonderful sunbeds on the beach

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent, comfy beds, great staff and it's on the sea! The beach nearby is pebbly and it's a 25 minute walk to the old town - not a huge amount to do in the immediate area, but the hotel itself more than makes up for that!

The location is a bit far from Old town Rethymno a 30 minute walk but the local bus, walk or taxi will get you there fast. The upside is you are on the beach and have loungers and a semi private beach at your disposal

However, breakfast was included so no probs there. Enjoyed the varied buffet breakfast. Pool is small and on the roadside so noisy at times. Small beach area for the hotel but we had a lovely patio outside the room

This was buffet style at breakfast and on evenings, but absolutely fantastic! An array of Mediterranean and local foods were served daily, including meats, seafood and many Greek specialities

Only my first day so far, but lost my bag on the bus over here with my passport. Got great help from the staff and had no problem checking in without passport while i was waiting

We are just back from a week’s stay. The decor is modern and stylish, especially the bar, pool and restaurant area which is at the top of the hotel with views over the beach. The rooms are very nice and spacious

If you want to eat out, there are lots of restaurants within walking distance and the surrounding area is buzzy. We had booked another nearby hotel, owned by the same company

Chose the hotel on reviews and the small size. We have stayed in large all inclusives in Europe before and wanted something smaller. The hotel did not disappoint

There are bars both in the hotel and on the beach where you can order various drinks; the selection is extensive. At the beach bar, from 10 am to 6 pm, they always have pizza, ice cream, yogurt, and fruits available

I had the best time here! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are super clean, and the food is so tasty. The pool is big and perfect for relaxing I spent so much time just chilling there

Bed is also really hard, but that was not a big problem for us. Really hard working and always smiling. Food was good! I only disliked omelet, it had weird consistency 🤣 but everything else was super good and tasty

The hotel is lovely, yes it does get busy with families in school holidays but that can be said of many places, the staff are all fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for their guests

We love them all and in all of our travels we have never found anywhere quite so comfortable and that makes us feel like we are at home while we are away. We will see you all next year

Everything was simply perfect!!! The hotel’s look, its beachfront location, and the side pools made us feel as if we had the place all to ourselves- peaceful, pastoral, and relaxing

I was a bit dissapointed to not find any Beach Bags and Slippers in the room, as these are pretty much standard in a 5* Hotel, so when I was asked for feedback on their App, I told them, and the next day Beach Bag and Slippers were delivered along with some extra toiletries

The only thing I would slightly improve is the hair dryer in the bathroom – it heats up quickly and doesn’t work that well, but it’s just a small detail compared to how great everything else was

The food was delicious, with lots of variety and rich local flavors – special greetings to Chef Fotis for the incredible meals. Everyone working here makes the experience even more enjoyable

I am happy and grateful for Dimitris and Dimitra for making me an exception for the coctail without alcohol. The other personnel shift could not make the drink without one ingridient

The rooms are well equiped and perfect for a holiday. The evenings at the hotels outdoor bar were unforgettable

Rethymno is such a lovely old town with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops and €12 in a taxi. Negative is the beach, so hard to access the sea with the slippy rocks and stones but shoes are on offer which helped

The hotel accommodation is arranged in separate buildings surrounding an amazing central pool and has a relaxed village feeling

Tidy, cozy, pleasant, not the most modern, but perfect value for money. The hotel has its own beach, the sea is clean and very warm (August). The staff is very kind and friendly. Maybe a mistake: wifi is very weak

There are plenty of good rooms and very good service. The beach is with rocks so you need to have swimming shoes. The pool is moderate, but very good. Not so many chairs for lying down near the swimming pool

Food is very different, so everyone can get something to eat, but every day breakfast is the same, some different meals at lunch and some days supper was with fishes. At pool after 11 o clock you need to pay for a drinks

This is my 4th visit to Creta Palace, my husband went many times, throughout his teens and early adulthood. We have two children, at the time of travel were 5 and 8. We have visited Creta Palace in 2022, 2023 and 2025

This is a truly honest review of the resort and we hope many will find it helpful. Creta Palace is one of the most charming resorts

Its not the hotel's fault - people just need to be mindful of others and just take what they need! Beach is amazing and I spent more time there this holiday. It was perfect and had the same level of bar service etc

Our last visit in August 2025 was different to the previous years, in that the hotel has clearly made investments in areas and there are improvements, to an already 5* hotel, but these did not go unnoticed

A lovey hotel, located on the beach and about a 40 minute walk from Rethymnon or a €10 cab ride. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the hotel grounds are spotless

There are members of staff who have been at Creta Palace since my husband was a teenager (he's now 42!!) so you really get the family feel, they take so much pride in their work and it comes across

We mostly lived out of a suitcase. The view was OK but not exciting. Very very noisy from the main road. The food was hit and miss, and not that good. As for the entertainment in the evening I would give it a miss

Another night a so called magician entertained, again after 15 minutes or so half the audience had left. The local Greek dancers were great though. Ten PM seemed to be a curfew time as all went dead

Charged an extra 30 Euro above stated 70 Euros because of the type of room we had booked. The room was not that brilliant. A large bed but very little space to put your clothing for a 10 day stay

The pool bar seemed to charge different prices when they changed staff for the evening shift. Mostly the staff were OK but one individual was quite rude to many of the guests in the dining room

This is not just my observations but many of the tourists made the same complaints. For a four star hotel I found it to be VERY EXPENSIVE AND OVER HYPED. A shame but you live and learn

The men's pool toilets should be closed off. Tiles broken and falling off the wall. As for the pool shower all I can say is Disgusting

The sunbeds on the beach are free, however we found that more sunbeds had been added since last year and now too close together. We decided to walk 2 minutes down the beach and pay 7 Euros for more space and comfort

Lovely experience from the hotel. clean bedrooms- with towels and daily cleaning to high standards Perfect beachside location, the private beach is delivery to a bed for drinks and snacks

During our stay we didn’t see any towels reserving beds with an efficient and friendly lifeguard looking after the pool

To top it all drinks are delivered to your sun bed on the beach. This staff member was a delight - we will be back

We found the food at both breakfast and dinner excellent, even better than last year. A good variety of dishes that were well prepared and tasty. The staff are friendly, welcoming and a credit to the hotel

The pool is small, but it is really okay. The problem is that some guests put towels so early and they are not even there to swim! The pool is for everyone who wants to swim, but many can't swim, for example, children

Some complaints about it, and management didn't do anything about it. Maybe they can at least put some rules that no reservations in the pool, no leaving of towels when the person is not there

The pool is really small for the hotel size and the beach is at 7-10 minutes away, walking. Being a Greek beach, is stone-ish and steep, so is important to note that is not an golf with tranquil water

Personnel are very friendly, our room is clean. It has space in between, like two single beds together, and it's moving all the time. My child's bed is just a folding bed. I expected to be at least bed sofa-bed

I have never experienced such a good food offering in a hotel before and could not find a single item that I disliked. I definitely plan on coming back and fully recommend it

Anyway, the food was great, the best delicious food from breakfast to dinner! I hope they can change the pool rules soon. Thanks for our great holiday season!

Great spot if you plan on taking a ferry to santorini, its a 20 minute walk. Breakfast was nice here. Only downside was paper thin walls on the first floor, youll be able to hear your neighbors if they are loud!

The hotel I booked included two meals, the taste was great, very satisfied. The fee for one more child is 48 euros. It is reasonable according to its facilities, I hope to have the opportunity to go there again next time

It was about a 5-minute taxi ride from the bus station, we could use the beach in front, and our room was spacious and open, so we were able to relax

We slept with the aircon on and the fan which was no problem. We had no problem with getting a sunbed and usually didn’t get to the pool until after 10am

30 although there were still some by the jasmine and octopus pools however by the latter part of our stay there were still sunbeds available by 10

Just Got back from a 11 Day Stay Here, With My Husband, Enjoyed Our Stay , Rooms Were Very Spacious and Clean , Breakfast was Very Good, And Most Of The Staff Were Lovely, I Would Have To Be Honest, We Found The Older Barman Not The Most Welcome, But Everyone Else was

Every part of the pool gets the sun eventually throughout the day. The onsite supermarket is well stocked and there are plenty of supermarkets on the seafront. Breakfast is €14 and plenty to choose from

I find it hard to rate this hotel, because it is a bit of a mixed bag. The location is PERFECT, 50 m from the beach. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are outdated, but mostly clean

The hotel staff is nice, the food is delicious, the pool is a bit shallow but suitable for swimming, the hotel's location is excellent, there are many places around the hotel where we can eat various delicious meals, there's also a supermarket nearby, and the beach is practically right under the hotel

They say this hotel is only 3 stars. Staff was super nice and friendly, food was great, reallyclose to the beach and many interesting places to visit by foot. I wish i could live there, can't wait to visit again

And the food is where this hotel is really lacking. Over cooked, and if you have food allergies, it's a no-no

During our 7-night stay, our bed sheets were changed once and we were given clean towels 4 times

An excellent hotel with very spacious rooms. The hotel is situated on a hillside with 3 separate lifts. The hotel has a small beach directly in front over the road which is really nice.

Maybe they can work on small bits, especially because they said they're a 4* hotel: water in the rooms (on arrival and maybe during the stay), a bit more breakfast options, more diverse TV channels, coffee machines upgrades

Beds were very comfortable and quite large. Service: staff and management were very nice and attentive. Maybe 2-3 bottles with water in the room on arrival will be nice for a 4* hotel. Pool: spacious enough and clean

They have a kettle and a coffee filter - here, maybe they can upgrade to a more modern coffee machine (like the ones with pods), cutlery and plates. So if you want to cook small dishes, maybe is enough

We enjoyed our Rethymno holiday on Archipelagos Hotel. Location: 10-15 minutes walk from Rethymno Old Town (main area to hang around in Rethymno. Room: quite modern, spacious and cleaned every day

We had a medium fridge, good enough to keep some food to eat in the room and few bottles of water. They even have an electric stove, one frying pan and medium saucepan, but we never used

Pool and beach area very nicely done, comfortable sun loungers. Few local taverns that were good if you don’t fancy the walk into town. We needed a relaxing break and everything was very easygoing

On the bright sight, there is plenty of room on the beach and the view is 10 times better. The sea entry is rocky, so it’s better to have swimming shoes with you

Sometimes we could hear the neighbours do the horizontal tango, but hey, that's what a holiday is for. The all-inclusive buffets vary from day to day and are excellent, except for the wines, die smaken wat wrang

But I strongly suggest booking a room with a pool view, where you can enjoy an evening or two on the balcony. We had different menus every day and the choice was just perfect, not too much and not too little

If you need anything special there is a small shop on the territory of the hotel or you can go into the town 10 mins, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops, including Lidl

Always there to answer your questions and offer advice - Excellent breakfast with Cretan/Greek specialties, fresh orange juice on top of your regular continental breakfast options. CONS: Not much to complain about

The washroom is a bit small and gets wet when you shower but that wasn't a big deal for us. Highly recommend Crete and this gem of a hotel

I cant say enough good things about my stay at Astali Hotel. Everyone working there is so incredibly nice and everything you need is right around the corner

When you go out of the apartments, turn left and you are two minutes walk from the beach, turn right and you are two minutes walk to get to the supermarket, bars, restaurants, shops, taxi rank, car hire, bus stop, cash points etc

We had a wonderful stay at the Pinelopi Hotel in Platanes, Crete. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by Pinelopi and her friendly family-run team, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home

The location is perfect, the beach and a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants were just a short walk away, along with convenient access to buses for exploring nearby towns like Rethymno and Chania

The family run Hotel Pinelopi was immaculately clean and the pool area well kept and gorgeous. Location was brilliant: no noise at all but very close to town, beach and buses to get around

Receptionist Panagiota was a treasure, and even WhatsApped us suggestions of great restaurants and sights to visit

I literally go from bed to beach every morning (it's just across the street!). Mandy is adorable and she would give us great tips on good restaurants in the city. I highly recommend the place!

An excellent stay at the Batis beach hotel. We have been looked after really well all week. All the staff are super friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate any requirements

The beach is across a road and sunbeds were 2 for €8 but that included two drinks (non alcoholic) from the Cactus bar. The freddo Espessos were brilliant

The rooms have recently been renovated and are super clean. During the evenings we would often sit round the pool or on the rooftop and the staff would bring us ice, cups, spare chairs etc

We stayed in this hotel for 10 days. The hotel very friendly to families with children. Rooms very clean, cleaned daily every day. Change of towels with new ones every day. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff

This is by far the best hotel I've stayed in Greece. Very beautiful design of the room, clean, and with a bathtub. Friendly hotel receptionist. I will definitely stay here again if I visit rethymnon.

Large common areas were perfect for working. You have to walk to the sea, the historic center, or the bus station, but it's all within walking distance. There's a great supermarket across the street

There was a kettle, hot water, comfortable beds, and excellent value for money. A photo from the bed was on the TV. There's a school across the street, and kids play and make noise during the day

I have additional info for those who are inexperienced or ignorant travellers - The Venitian buildings were not built with pools or underground parking. Live with it and stop whining. You aren't back home with your mommy

We slept here for 2 days as a couple and I thinks it’s a great location in this beautiful city. Also, the bar is directly located in the hotel and we had a funny night with flavoured Raki & Richard who works on the bar

Location is perfect, almost in the center of old town ( we' ve got the map of the city and instructions where we need to go to launch, rent a car, buy a souvenirs and many other things ) , near the port of Venice and city fortress, beach is also near, around 500 - 600 hundred meters

Service is great, everyday we had a room cleaning ( also dishes washed ) , new towels, and refuel of soap and shampoo

Most important thing is that we have great relationship with the owners, 'cause they are amazing people, very kind, pleasant and proffessional, and always be there for anything that we need

We had a good experience during our stay. Comfortable beds, small and cozy balcony with a view to the streets. Well functioning AC which saved us from the heat outside during night time

The breakfasts were amazing and we felt thoroughly spoilt! The pool although small was so refreshing in the heat of the day, and the courtyard a lovely place to relax amongst the pretty flowers and plants

The place could be better insulated to sound, but with a historical building, I am sure there are limitations. There are no elevators, so not ideal for people with mobility issues
