Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return to Grecotel Plaza Beach House on our next trip to Crete

The hotel was great. Special mention goes to the bartender, Michael; he makes fantastic drinks. All the other staff members also do their best to ensure that guests have an enjoyable holiday. Thank you all!

we've been to the hotel for six days in August. after I've made the order, i've seen some bad reviews regarding the rooms condition. But i can say just the opposite, the room we got was in a good condition

Mixed bag, room not great, issues with cleanliness, bathroom shower, & towels. Location brilliant, hotel approx 40 mins from old town. Beach right in front of hotel. Service from staff excellent Sofia, Theo

It's not far away from the old city, and you can find many stores and restaurants (check Manolis place) in the street. It also has a private parking, which is located at the street near by

The apartment we visited was nice. The kitchen had a dishwasher, oven, stove, and a microwave oven. The dining table was a bit small, but four could eat around it quite well. The staff was really friendly

Charming property and one of the best parts is the view which is just spectacular, you can’t get any closer to the sea! The room and breakfast were nice and we had one meal in the restaurant which was lovely and had a great atmosphere

Beautyfull house with history! Lovely details! Wonderful breakfast place on the seaside! The street outside is very busy and loud, but not in the hotel! The staff is very kind and friendly!

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent, comfy beds, great staff and it's on the sea! The beach nearby is pebbly and it's a 25 minute walk to the old town - not a huge amount to do in the immediate area, but the hotel itself more than makes up for that!

Excellent hotel on the sea front. Just a bit of a pity that the beach area was a bit lacking for such a quality hotel.

Wonderful oceanfront hotel, with a decent restaurant and fantastic breakfast. Spacious and very comfortable rooms with high ceilings and loft bedrooms

The location is a bit far from Old town Rethymno a 30 minute walk but the local bus, walk or taxi will get you there fast. The upside is you are on the beach and have loungers and a semi private beach at your disposal

But anyway - with some creativity one could reschedule and move to the beach area, where sunbeds were available for quite a fair price (Between 5 to 7 Euros per day for two sunbeds and a parasol)

I did not stay at this hotel, just been to their beach and they got the most friendly and serviceminded staff at the beach. If possible, I would give 10 stars for their effort to make every guest feel good at the beach

Everything is dedicated to the guests. We never met such a gently and polite people which are oriented to the guests service. This is place with excellent beach, shop inside the property with a prices as in the city

Special big Thank to Georgios. We were met with a big smile every day, and they helped us with sunbeds, drinks and free water to make sure we did not dehydrate in the sun. I have no problems recommanding this place

We enjoyed Noras daily Yoga sessions so much. She is one of the reasons we return every year

small and cozy hotel right on the beach! All rooms have breathtaking seaview! You feel like home from the first second you arrive! Homemade breakfast every day and delicious light snacks next to the sea!

Such a beautiful hotel we had a fantastic week there. All the staff were fabulous,nothing too much trouble. Eva the manager was fabulous,so friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is lovely and plentiful

Plenty of sunbeds and parasols which were free to use and lots of beach towels available all day. This was a great bonus as many places charge for sunbeds etc

Nice room with large balcony and sea view. The best thing about this charming hotel is the staff!! Joanna and Eva take great care of the customer! Available and smiling! We are like family but it is not intrusive

This is a little beauty of a hotel. The road outside is a bit of a challenge for pedestrians as it is a major easy west link for Rethymnon but once inside you are in a very nice place

• Beach access is excellent, and loungers are free (except the first few rows, which are €15/day). • Mini bar was restocked periodically. • Toilets accept paper — which isn’t always the case in Greece

We raised this with Guest Relations, and to her credit, she followed up later in the evening. But the only option offered was to stay in the suite for an additional €144 per night — which we understandably declined

We personally didn’t use the pool areas but they are small and congested as other users have stated. What Worked Well: • Rooms were clean (though a bit dated). • Staff were generally friendly and helpful

The room we eventually ended up in for the week was fine, it faced another building which didn’t bother us. The room was big enough and clean to a point. The bathroom was dated and well worn

Not unclean but as clean as could be. The shower water pressure is really good and it can be made hot; not that you’ll want that after a day in the cretan heat

While the room was lovely, we were annoyed — we didn’t want to unpack and repack just to check out and wait around for another room the next day

The hotel is spotlessly clean, there was a good variety of food at breakfast, good bar area, ample sunbeds on beach and staff that couldn't be more polite and helpful

Breakfast is well-prepared and very tasty. The beach bar is located just across the street, where you are served courteously by a staff member from Ammos

We stayed at Ammos Suites for three nights and it was an absolute recommendation. The rooms are excellently maintained, and it's clear that hygiene is a top priority. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed

This is a wonderful place to come to for rest and relaxation. We came last year, so our second visit, and we had booked for a rest having had a very busy year. Ammos is a superb place to recharge your batteries

It's in a good location, with the Old Town within walking distance (20min). We really enjoyed our stay and would come back

Babis and Elena where great , very proffesional and Happy. The beach is great thanks to Demetrius the beach butler who kept us fed and watered The beach has a few pebbles so sea shoes a must

I cannot fault this hotel from start to finish you feel valued and appreciated. From the bar stuff Babis & Elaneor through to reception, beach, restaurant and cleaning staff

We had a fantastic time staying here for a week. Rooms very clean and modern a bit small though. Food Exellent , sunbed to die for so comfy. Staff very friendly and helpful

A great selection of drinks, food and cleanliness set this gorgeous hotel apart. It was such a beautiful week and would highly recommend staying here. I have stayed in other 5* hotels and this is one of the best

The spa was excellent (and a little expensive) and the view over the ocean relaxing. The beach was on the other side of a road, but that was not a problem as there was a 30 km/h speed limit and pedestrian crossing

It was a most lovely experience! We enjoyed ie very muched and booked a new visit to the spa immediately. We were totally relaxed!

Plenty of beers and cocktails at the bar served by Ella and a great time was had by all. Nice quiet location off the main road. George also provided a delicious chocolate cake for our grandsons birthday

Just had a week at this hotel with all the family. The staff were lovely, George, Ella and Mrs Joanna. They could not have done more to help in the circumstances

Had a very enjoyable week at Bueno. A quiet street, 1 min from beach. Bar is friendly with lots of comfy seats and happy staff. This hotel has everything we need on our holidays

Absolute gem of a place. Just perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Sun. Beach within 1min walk. Fantastic staff, specially candy and Ellie.

We realised this as a cost of 35 euros after getting the wrong bus and got off in the middle of nowhere and had to get a taxi back

The rooms are quite basic but for a week stay they were perfect if you are not in your room too much. As we went in October the pool area was quiet and was perfect for relaxing in the day

The pool area has a snack bar (salads, pizzas, gyros) and was really high quality food. There are also amazing restaurants surrounding the hotel - which were amazing (Taverna Galera, Prima Plora and Karnagio)

We have just come back from our amazing stay in this hotel. The location is perfect if you are happy to have a 20 minute stroll into the main town, or even get a taxi (7/8 euros)

The breakfast is just a standard European breakfast, perfect for just grabbing a bite to eat in the morning. The sea is right on the doorstep

Welcome to ancient Greece, elegant and refined place, ideal for couples. Top service, The waiters do not seem to be there but when you are about to finish the wine in the glass they have already filled it

So always present at the right time. The food was fantastic, fresh and tasty like the Greek land. Great price: bottle of wine, two appetizers, two first courses, water and covered for a total of 30 euros each

The nice thing is that with 60 euros you eat delicious things seeing the sea and the rocks

Hotel at the end of a dead end which does not look like much, but what a pleasant surprise with regard to the view and the warmth of the service

The villa is situated on top of a mountain so you always have a nice breeze but above all lots of privacy and a beautiful view. We have already rented this villa 3 times in the preseason and in the summer period

Villa Ikaros is a wonderful villa to stay in the early season but also in the summer period. The villa has 3 lovely bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, giving you more than enough room for a large family

Room service every 3 days, pool service every 2 -3 days. But it is probably normal in Crete
