Hotels with sea view in Rethymno

There are more luxurious selections in the main buffet (sea food in particular)

This is my 4th visit to Creta Palace, my husband went many times, throughout his teens and early adulthood. We have two children, at the time of travel were 5 and 8. We have visited Creta Palace in 2022, 2023 and 2025

Its not the hotel's fault - people just need to be mindful of others and just take what they need! Beach is amazing and I spent more time there this holiday. It was perfect and had the same level of bar service etc

Our last visit in August 2025 was different to the previous years, in that the hotel has clearly made investments in areas and there are improvements, to an already 5* hotel, but these did not go unnoticed

There are members of staff who have been at Creta Palace since my husband was a teenager (he's now 42!!) so you really get the family feel, they take so much pride in their work and it comes across

The staff are so busy but they are highly trained and the service cannot be faulted. Room wise - we have been a few times now so we know what suits us and booked the Ground Floor Deluxe Bungalow

A large hotel with usual facilities. Room was fine, though shower needs improvement as it wets the bathroom floor. Good choice of breakfast items. Location on main road not seafront so some road noise

We mostly lived out of a suitcase. The view was OK but not exciting. Very very noisy from the main road. The food was hit and miss, and not that good. As for the entertainment in the evening I would give it a miss

Another night a so called magician entertained, again after 15 minutes or so half the audience had left. The local Greek dancers were great though. Ten PM seemed to be a curfew time as all went dead

Charged an extra 30 Euro above stated 70 Euros because of the type of room we had booked. The room was not that brilliant. A large bed but very little space to put your clothing for a 10 day stay

The pool bar seemed to charge different prices when they changed staff for the evening shift. Mostly the staff were OK but one individual was quite rude to many of the guests in the dining room

This is not just my observations but many of the tourists made the same complaints. For a four star hotel I found it to be VERY EXPENSIVE AND OVER HYPED. A shame but you live and learn

We found the food at both breakfast and dinner excellent, even better than last year. A good variety of dishes that were well prepared and tasty. The staff are friendly, welcoming and a credit to the hotel

Our balcony door was really hard to close properly, the shower head holder was broken (they fixed that really quickly) and our room had started to show some wear, but all in all it was a pleasant st

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel. The hotel is situated across the road from the beach, with an approximate 30-40 minute flat walk to the old town of Rethymnon

Alternatively you can use the local bus or taxis available from outside the hotel. The hotel is kept clean and tidy. The rooms and beds are comfortable and we slept really well

Also we were allocated 2 very quite rooms with side sea view. Provided travel cot and all bedding for infant. Plus tea and coffee in a daily basis to use in our rooms

The sunbeds on the beach are free, however we found that more sunbeds had been added since last year and now too close together. We decided to walk 2 minutes down the beach and pay 7 Euros for more space and comfort

All in all it's definitely recommendable and good in price Quality

Anyway, the food was great, the best delicious food from breakfast to dinner! I hope they can change the pool rules soon. Thanks for our great holiday season!

My family and I have stayed at Nefeli twice, both times during the off-season. I highly recommend this hotel for its friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff

The pool is small, but it is really okay. The problem is that some guests put towels so early and they are not even there to swim! The pool is for everyone who wants to swim, but many can't swim, for example, children

Personnel are very friendly, our room is clean. It has space in between, like two single beds together, and it's moving all the time. My child's bed is just a folding bed. I expected to be at least bed sofa-bed

Some complaints about it, and management didn't do anything about it. Maybe they can at least put some rules that no reservations in the pool, no leaving of towels when the person is not there

Great spot if you plan on taking a ferry to santorini, its a 20 minute walk. Breakfast was nice here. Only downside was paper thin walls on the first floor, youll be able to hear your neighbors if they are loud!

The location is also very good, right by the sea, opposite the beach is nice, there are two swimming pools in the hotel, the children had a lot of fun playing in the water

Wonderful hotel in good location. Just a short walk to the old town for shopping, dinning, etc.

The rooms are lovely, very spacious, very modern, air conditioned and comfortable beds. We had a sea view room which was outstanding

The staff were absolutely brilliant. So helpful and friendly. Room was so comfy, lush decor and really relaxing. Food was gorgeous. All fantastic and really reasonable, affordable price. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. We are vegan and could always find healthy options. The staff are very professional and helpful. We also enjoyed the private beach.

Just Got back from a 11 Day Stay Here, With My Husband, Enjoyed Our Stay , Rooms Were Very Spacious and Clean , Breakfast was Very Good, And Most Of The Staff Were Lovely, I Would Have To Be Honest, We Found The Older Barman Not The Most Welcome, But Everyone Else was

Every part of the pool gets the sun eventually throughout the day. The onsite supermarket is well stocked and there are plenty of supermarkets on the seafront. Breakfast is €14 and plenty to choose from

There is a well stocked shop onsite but also a big supermarket less than 5mins walk away, between them you can find everything you need The entertainments were goof and children enjoyed the soft play area and other little bits put on by the reps We were not able to attend the greek night in the hotel but found one running several nights a week in a restaurant near the roundabout just 5mins away The...

Don’t expect thrills but if you want a clean hotel with exceptional staff then give it a try. A special mention to Anna on reception. If you want any advice on what to do and see while you’re there then she is your lady

The pools were great, some reviews complain about finding a sunbed but we did not find this to be the case, perhaps it depends on other guests. At the beginning of our stay the sunbeds by the main pool were taken by 7

The walk into the old town is about 20ish minutes and again some fantastic restaurants and cocktail bars. The one at the start of the harbour was very good. The restaurants do prefer cash but will take card

Lovely location opposite the sea, small but pleasant pool. Our room had a small kitchenette with a sofa bed, which was very convenient.

My stay at Grecotel Plaza Beach House was outstanding. The staff was extremely welcoming, and looked after me during all my stay. Maria and Vassiliki that offered hospitality at the first place

Prices for parking are extremely friendly (we paid about two Euros for about 3 hours of parking. Thank you for having us as your guests and keep your smiles for your guests!

We had a wonderful week at this hotel. Room was good with a lovely sea view. In particular Michalis who greeted us when we arrived was very helpful and welcoming. Great location with the beach just across the road

The hotel staff is nice, the food is delicious, the pool is a bit shallow but suitable for swimming, the hotel's location is excellent, there are many places around the hotel where we can eat various delicious meals, there's also a supermarket nearby, and the beach is practically right under the hotel

They say this hotel is only 3 stars. Staff was super nice and friendly, food was great, reallyclose to the beach and many interesting places to visit by foot. I wish i could live there, can't wait to visit again

So, while the hotel facilities are probably worth 3 stars, rather than 4, the location makes up for a lot. If you are looking for a great location, and don’t expect too much luxury, I would recommend this hotel

And the food is where this hotel is really lacking. Over cooked, and if you have food allergies, it's a no-no

They have a kettle and a coffee filter - here, maybe they can upgrade to a more modern coffee machine (like the ones with pods), cutlery and plates. So if you want to cook small dishes, maybe is enough

Beds were very comfortable and quite large. Service: staff and management were very nice and attentive. Maybe 2-3 bottles with water in the room on arrival will be nice for a 4* hotel. Pool: spacious enough and clean

We had a medium fridge, good enough to keep some food to eat in the room and few bottles of water. They even have an electric stove, one frying pan and medium saucepan, but we never used

An excellent hotel with very spacious rooms. The hotel is situated on a hillside with 3 separate lifts. The hotel has a small beach directly in front over the road which is really nice.

We enjoyed our Rethymno holiday on Archipelagos Hotel. Location: 10-15 minutes walk from Rethymno Old Town (main area to hang around in Rethymno. Room: quite modern, spacious and cleaned every day

Really nice room overlooking the beach and sea. Staff very friendly and has that family run vibe. Breakfast was out of this world, loads of choice and very tasty

We stayed here with our friends for our wedding and couldn’t be happier with the experience! The location is absolutely perfect — right by the beach with the most beautiful views☀️ The hotel was super clean, fresh, and beautifully maintained

Pool and beach area very nicely done, comfortable sun loungers. Few local taverns that were good if you don’t fancy the walk into town. We needed a relaxing break and everything was very easygoing

Lunch and dinner menue also very good. We also tried the spa and the massage was exellent. We are looking forward to visit the Iperion Beach Hotel again sooner or later

The room is large, the terrace pool and the view are very good, the pool is very clean, and the hotel's private beach is better than the beach next to it

The circular pool was amazing Sunbeds for everyone. Excellent hospitality from all staff. Beautiful grounds and the stunning palm garde

I regret having paid extra for a suite, whereas with a classic sea view room the view was much more beautiful, and the facilities of the classic room were better: my terrace lacked something to put wet clothes on to dry them, in the bathroom no shelf to put things on, it's really problematic for an establishment of this standard

Only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because breakfast was the same thing everyday, I stayed there for 11 nights, and after a few days I got tired of eating the same thing

The staff was very friendly and the yoga teacher was excellent. The property is beautiful and the restaurant is very good. We were disappointed in the private outdoor hot tub because it really wasn't private

I did not stay at this hotel, just been to their beach and they got the most friendly and serviceminded staff at the beach. If possible, I would give 10 stars for their effort to make every guest feel good at the beach

Everything is dedicated to the guests. We never met such a gently and polite people which are oriented to the guests service. This is place with excellent beach, shop inside the property with a prices as in the city

Special big Thank to Georgios. We were met with a big smile every day, and they helped us with sunbeds, drinks and free water to make sure we did not dehydrate in the sun. I have no problems recommanding this place

It was our third stay in the hotel and we really enjoyed. A special thanks to the kind Sophia serving our cappuccino every evening. The massages in the hotel spa are also very good and the spa ladies are very nice

We saw here dancing and would love to see a Salsa Show in the evening entertainment of our hotel (maybe it's possible next year ?♡) We hope Nora will be here next year again!!!

Er is één mevrouw bij de receptie die zelfs Nederlands spreekt. Our room (nummer 217, 😊) is well sized with private balcony, airco and jacuzzi. It is all kept clean daily, including making the beds door twee lieve dames

But I strongly suggest booking a room with a pool view, where you can enjoy an evening or two on the balcony. We had different menus every day and the choice was just perfect, not too much and not too little

On the bright sight, there is plenty of room on the beach and the view is 10 times better. The sea entry is rocky, so it’s better to have swimming shoes with you

If you need anything special there is a small shop on the territory of the hotel or you can go into the town 10 mins, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops, including Lidl

People are usually staying near pool, so almost all sunbeds are taken (and yes, some guests are still having the habit of leaving a towel on a sunbed but showing up 3 hours later)

The pool is very clean and nice, the only downside is that it is still accepted that antisocial people reserve beds with their towels. Those towels should be thrown in the pool

Always there to answer your questions and offer advice - Excellent breakfast with Cretan/Greek specialties, fresh orange juice on top of your regular continental breakfast options. CONS: Not much to complain about

We had an absolutely impeccable experience at this hotel. The accommodation was of the highest standard – spotless cleanliness, spacious and well-designed rooms, equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay

From the water provided in the fridge on arrival, to seeing they provide an iron and can help with chargers amongst other things to the friendliness of the team it has everything you need

Stayed here whilst attending a family wedding at Agreco Farm recently. What a find! The apartment (210) was spacious, clean, tidy and well equipped, the air conditioning was incredibly efficient too

There's a good supermarket adjacent to the hotel and the hotel is located one street behind the seafront, meaning it's in a quieter environment than on the ***** where all the bars and restaurants are located

The thing that stands out most at the Eltina hotel is the staff. It has a great family feel, and you know you're in a good place when the Greeks check in to the hotel on holiday too

All staff were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfasts were fantastic with an incredible selection to choose from

There are toilets and a shower available at the hotel when you are on the beach or terrace, which saves you having to go back to your room. Rethymno old town about 25 mins walk

We would get a taxi into town and take a slow walk back when it was cooler. Well worth doing as it's a beautiful town and the sunsets at the port are just amazing

The rooms have recently been renovated and are super clean. During the evenings we would often sit round the pool or on the rooftop and the staff would bring us ice, cups, spare chairs etc

The room included Air Conditioning, fridge, security box, TV and WiFi that were all in working order. The pool was cleaned nightly when we were there and the beds by the shower were a sun trap

We hosted our wedding party at Batis Beach Hotel for our wedding held at Agreco Farm. We had 37 friends and family stay with us and we all had a fabulous time at Batis Beach

When you leave the hotel there is a promenade that takes you along the sea front and in a 20 minute walk you can be in the centre of the town of Rethymno

Breakfast tasty and the products are fresh. Every now and then you can listen to live music in the bar, we had a great rock band

Whilst it’s definitely the people who make the place so fantastic, the rooms were bright and clean with everything you could want for a self-catered holiday. Breakfast included was also a very welcome addition!
