Hotels with sauna in Rethymno

This is my 4th visit to Creta Palace, my husband went many times, throughout his teens and early adulthood. We have two children, at the time of travel were 5 and 8. We have visited Creta Palace in 2022, 2023 and 2025

This is a truly honest review of the resort and we hope many will find it helpful. Creta Palace is one of the most charming resorts

Our last visit in August 2025 was different to the previous years, in that the hotel has clearly made investments in areas and there are improvements, to an already 5* hotel, but these did not go unnoticed

There are members of staff who have been at Creta Palace since my husband was a teenager (he's now 42!!) so you really get the family feel, they take so much pride in their work and it comes across

The staff are so busy but they are highly trained and the service cannot be faulted. Room wise - we have been a few times now so we know what suits us and booked the Ground Floor Deluxe Bungalow

We loved our first holiday abroad with our two boys. The hotel was beautiful, the staff helpful and the food delicious!! Such a big range on offer and didn't feel too busy

The hotel also offered a little Easter gift in my room, red eggs and traditional cake, which again made me feel so welcome and really experience Orthodox Easter and greeks hospitality

A large hotel with usual facilities. Room was fine, though shower needs improvement as it wets the bathroom floor. Good choice of breakfast items. Location on main road not seafront so some road noise

The hotel was very clean, room was huge, everything was well taken care of. Breakfast was unbelievably varied, from english breakfast to Mediterranean choices

(Though we went to the wrong hotel on arrival and they said we could use their underground car park for €7 a day)

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. I especially appreciated the helpfulness of the reception team, who were always ready to assist with a smile

Great spot if you plan on taking a ferry to santorini, its a 20 minute walk. Breakfast was nice here. Only downside was paper thin walls on the first floor, youll be able to hear your neighbors if they are loud!

The hotel I booked included two meals, the taste was great, very satisfied. The fee for one more child is 48 euros. It is reasonable according to its facilities, I hope to have the opportunity to go there again next time

Wonderful hotel in good location. Just a short walk to the old town for shopping, dinning, etc.

We enjoyed our stay here. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. We are vegan and could always find healthy options. The staff are very professional and helpful. We also enjoyed the private beach.

The staff were absolutely brilliant. So helpful and friendly. Room was so comfy, lush decor and really relaxing. Food was gorgeous. All fantastic and really reasonable, affordable price. Thank you!

He always made a point to come talk to us and was very kind. I will also mention that my boyfriend was sick overnight and they offered to make him soup and checked in with him throughout the day which really meant a lot

I have so many wonderful things to say but I will start with the bartender Michael. He is extremely skilled at making drinks that are both delicious and aesthetically pleasing. He has a clear passion for what he does

First I would like to recognize the staff members that stood out and made our vacation enjoyable. Kalliope (front desk ), Michalis (bartender), Mr Theo (maitre) , Vaso (server) and the household staff

He always engaged in conversation and was happy to explain different drinks to me and I really enjoyed the rapport we had. Also Kalliopi the receptionist is extremely friendly and approachable

She was extremely helpful in coordinating transportation for us and I really enjoyed talking to her. Finally, Theodoris the maître d’ was very warm and hospitable

The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept, the room was spacious and the housekeepers did a very good job keeping our room clean throughout the week

As regards food, we tended to have dinner out (it’s only a 5 minute taxi ride to the old town and there’s a rank about 20m from the hotel) but the pool bar was good for lunches and the buffet breakfasts in the restaurant were excellent

There’s also a water sports kiosk only 20m away, for parasailing, jet skis etc. The hotel has a nice pool (although a bit fresh!) and the week we were there, there was never any trouble in getting loungers

The best thing for us was the split level family room - twin beds and a shower room downstairs (plus balcony), with a king size and bathroom upstairs, both with a sea view

Our balcony door was really hard to close properly, the shower head holder was broken (they fixed that really quickly) and our room had started to show some wear, but all in all it was a pleasant st

We spent a week in the Aegean Pearl, right at the end of the season in October, and had a fantastic week

The sunbeds on the beach are free, however we found that more sunbeds had been added since last year and now too close together. We decided to walk 2 minutes down the beach and pay 7 Euros for more space and comfort

This is already my fourth stay at this hotel, and once again, everything has been perfect. A heartfelt thank you to the hotel staff for always considering my preferences and making sure I feel welcome

I can't thank the team enough for always being there to help with beach recommendations depending on the wind, transportation tips, and any questions we had

The hotel could use a bit of renovation, but its location—and above all, the kind and attentive staff—more than make up for any shortcomings

The only thing that I can comply is on the loud street noice that comes from the outside, late at night and on earling morning hours

Food is delicious and I can't wait to come again! The hotel is also 5 minutes from the beach

If you want a quiet place, choose this. At the other end of a long sandy beach. Good breakfast and dinner, a little more I would have liked different meat options. The rooms were clean and the service was good.

- good food - nice rooms - perfect beach Negatives: - the manager at the restaurant (an elderly man with makeup) was sometimes screaming at the guests, and very stressed

- sometimes the water filtering in the pool was turned of, and the water got dirty really fast. Had to complain for them to turn on circulation

we stayed at the sister hotel omiros boutique but i went to melody spa at odyssia beach for a back and neck massage with tanya - it was absolutely amazing and helped my sore back so much! definitely returning before our holiday is done, such a good experience and so handy in location right beside the hotel, beach, bar, shops etc🩵☀️

For 2 weeks only a couple of times there were mussels and once shrimp for dinner. Breakfasts all 14 days were the same. -There is no kettle/coffee maker in the rooms, and tea/coffee is not offered at dinner either

Only when I complained to the general manager of the hotel, he left us alone. (“You can not sit at this table, you can not drink from this cup here, you have to dress differently” and everything like that)

But I strongly suggest booking a room with a pool view, where you can enjoy an evening or two on the balcony. We had different menus every day and the choice was just perfect, not too much and not too little

Er is één mevrouw bij de receptie die zelfs Nederlands spreekt. Our room (nummer 217, 😊) is well sized with private balcony, airco and jacuzzi. It is all kept clean daily, including making the beds door twee lieve dames

If you need anything special there is a small shop on the territory of the hotel or you can go into the town 10 mins, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops, including Lidl

People are usually staying near pool, so almost all sunbeds are taken (and yes, some guests are still having the habit of leaving a towel on a sunbed but showing up 3 hours later)

The pool is very clean and nice, the only downside is that it is still accepted that antisocial people reserve beds with their towels. Those towels should be thrown in the pool

I stayed in this hotel for a week mid-August and it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Obviously, the rooms have everything you need and are very clean and modern

I had a superior double room, basically a 44m2 apartment and it was very nice, looked great, modern with everything you need even a washing machine. Touch panels to control lights and AC, very nice bathroom

Big ground balcony with banana palms and a view of the pool. The snack bar by the pool offers a great variety of food & drinks, more than any other pool/snack bar i have seen

Very good food, the chef knows what he's doing. 00, with 20% on drinks and food. Breakfast was good, fresh and varied. Its a 5-10 min buss/car ride to Rethymno city

I have been travelling on and off for 25 years and i have to say this hotel is excellent, by far one of the best in Crete

Because of the heat we paid a 7euro taxi there, and walked home, obviously trying all the bars on the way home 🥂 Are we returning, absolutely

Summer Dream was literally that! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are all very friendly and helpful

It was an amazing experience, the people are really nice. I got helped so well by Evdokia and found what suited me, and got my amazing massages from Ioanna. When I come back to Rethimno I Will come here again

Visited the spa twice on my holiday. Totally relaxed experience, hubby even enjoyed the peace and quiet. The newSpa facilities are wonderful. Evdokia explained everything well. Dina was an excellent masseuse

Nice and calm treatment. Sweet and professional girls Dina and Evdokia) can definitely recommend it. Good combination of wellness or massage therapy with good and quality products.

Very good Facial, good prices. The hotel is very nice with good balcony view and nice pool. The food offer is amazing. Would go back a second time!

It was good and we feel relaxed after the treatment. Dian and Popi were gentle therapist. Evdokia was very friendly and professonial.

The long flat promenade was ideal for my wife who has some mobility issues as she was able to walk easily with her rollator. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed with modern fixtures and fittings

The best hotel in Rethymnon. Very spacious and nice rooms, clean and tidy. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. Third time we are staying here. The private beach is also great.

From the moment we arrived which was late, the hotel got dinner prepared for us without us asking. The staff are exceptional! First night and we are blown away

The staff were all wonderful with a high level of service. Nothing was too much trouble for them to make our stay a good one. Food in the buffet restaurant was excellent and there was variety and choice in abundance

Pool great could even swim as most people just popped in for a cool off and then got out. Stayed half board, food was great we really enjoyed. Bars, restaurants and the beach a few mins walk away

Old town Rethymnon appox 20 mins walk. The drop off is a bit strange as you get dropped off at the hotel next door. It was a bit confusing as there was no one to greet us and tell us where to go

Amazing brand new hotel.. With wonderful view of the city. Gorgeous pool on the 3rd floor Where the restaurant and the bar are. Bar is very well equipped.. The food on the restaurant was wonderful. Will visit again..

Stayed here for 2 weeks in July. Lovely spacious rooms, great air con, fab shower, room cleaned every day to a high standard

Great pool area on the smaller side, but enough sunbeds, we would get a couple of beds when we came down for breakfast around 10 am

Sophia from reception was so lovely and helpful! The airline lost our luggage on the mainland, and she kindly offered to handle everything for us, calling the airline and organising for our luggage to be flown to us and we had our clothes by that night

However, the bathroom smelled like rotten eggs, sewage issues?? The breakfast was good , loved the honey comb display but food was often cold

Great location, nice rooms (we were treated to a free upgrade). Nice breakfast with fresh orange juice served in the courtyard. No parking in immediate vicinity, but you can usually find a free spot close to the sea

I have stayed at this wonderful hotel for a week and must say that everything has been excellent. Friendly and helpful staff and a cozy atmosphere right in the old town. I can truly recommend staying here.

The customer service is excellent and Room 7 was excellent as it was spread over two floors with a balcony overlooking the street and additional outside sunbathing area which wasn’t overlooked

Beautiful location and ease of access. Unfortunately parking is hard if you organise a hire car. Amenities are beautiful and the welcome gifts and morning breakfast were great

Although situated in the old town and very close to the restaurants and shops, you do not get any noise disruption - in fact it’s an ideal place in an ideal position

the cleaning was done very well. In addition, every day you got more coffee and tea in the room. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Savory, sweet and even products from the own garden

The hotel is right on the waterfront, a 20-minute walk from Rethymno. We booked half board and had a delicious five-course dinner (drinks are an extra charge, but inexpensive)

We were kindly upgraded to a spacious two-floor apartment with two terraces, and I was genuinely amazed! One had a covered area, perfect for warm afternoons, and the other opened just above the promenade with a beautiful view of the sea

It was such a joy to sit with a cup of coffee, soak up the sun, and simply enjoy the sound of the waves and the peaceful landscape. The apartment itself was so cozy

Really comfortable beds, soft cushions, and a modern bathroom with beautiful tiles. We had coffee machine and Kettle, those small details that made a difference

The hotel is in a great location, about 15 minutes on foot from the old town, so you are in a quiet seaside area but still close enough to enjoy the vibrant center of Rethymno when you like

VERY Designer hotel, calm interiors, VERY helpful staff, AND 3 x swimming pools. Great lunches, drinks. Booked for family of 3, got upgraded to massive double bed and two twins. EVERYthing good. Will stay again !

Wonderful welcoming hotel in a perfect location in that part of Crete. Very close to many tavernas, bars and shops also easy access to the main highway if you hire a car

This hotel is what I always hope for but rarely get when going on holiday. A family run establishment which was modern, clean and very well run. Our room was well equipped and comfortable

The family could not do enough for us including moving us to a room on our last day so that we had somewhere to rest and shower before our flight

The hotel has 2 reasonable sized pools with sun loungers plus a well-stocked bar with excellent barman

Our 1 bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious and although we didn’t cook there were enough utensils and pans if you wanted to

The pool was a relaxing little oasis in the busy city but very close to the beach and restaurants. All in all, we were very lucky to find this absolute gem and we would definitely stay again if we come back to Rethymno

We stayed here last minute as our AirBnB stay didn’t work out as planned. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. What a find!Lovely clean room which was cleaned daily, lovely balcony overlooking the pool

We stayed here in the first week in July and received a warm, friendly, family welcome. Our room was perfect with the best shower in Crete. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the cleanliness was exceptional

This was our third visit, I wrote ahead asking for our old room, arrived to find we were placed in a double room with a generous balcony on the second floor over the breakfast area. Excellent service all the way

This was the highlight of our stay. We had a very spacious room, enough for two adults and one child. A small kitchenette with a fridge, and a nice bathroom with a shower and a whirlpool were included

The hotel itself is located one-minute-walk distance to the beach and is situated quietly in a courtyard, so it is also very quiet, especially at night when the seaside road is otherwise quite noisy

You want an earlier breakfast? No problem, consider it done. You need directions? A car? A good-morning smile from literally every staff member you pass? WE GOT YOU. But seriously, just come here

Only my first day so far, but lost my bag on the bus over here with my passport. Got great help from the staff and had no problem checking in without passport while i was waiting

Evening animation, perhaps good for senior citizens. I preferred the beach near the harbour, sandy beach, smooth entry into the sea, about 2km away or 7 euros by taxi (taxi station few meters from the hotel)

We stayed for 7 nights and had a great time! The rooms are kept clean every day, the breakfast is good, but the best part are the staff which are so kind and friendly, always there to help you or recommend you places to visit

Not only was it very tastefully put together, all the facilities and amenities of very good standard, but the staff there really went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay and it made such a huge difference to how much we enjoyed our time there

The Hotel provides great recommendations, very clean rooms, and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Parking on the street can be difficult but the location and this hotel is worth the effort

Menta City Hotel is a 5 Star property in my book! The lobby, pool area and breakfast area are all beautifully decorated. Rooms are exceptional. Complimentary breakfast is delicious!

The food and drink was good, especially the included breakfast. We loved the location between Chania and Heraklion for sightseeing. The town of Rethymno was charming with good food and shopping

We did enjoy our stay very much. The rooms were big enough for 4 people and quiet as well as clean. The pool area though is too small - most beds were always taken and the water is very warm

The hotel has a very nice and friendly staff and so is the manager, Christine, who is very kind and understanding. We have had a very nice stay so far and everything has been so smooth

The front desk staff was helpful in booking the excursion and arranged a bagged meal to be left in our suite as pick-up times didn't allow us to use the breakfast buffet

There is no private beach nearby as mentioned in the property information. The property/rooms are a little dated too, especially the bathrooms
