Best cocktails are in the lobby bar, do not recommend beach bar, drinks are watered down. Hotel is child friendly with good selection of multiple food options from street food to more healthy ones - smoothies, salads. Pools are not heated if you’re going out of high season, seaside is great. Would recommend booking brunch to enjoy lovely meal with a great view.

Been here twice now, and it is good. The rooms are spacious, and the pools are clean. Since my first visit in 2018, the food and drink has gone downhill. The beers and cocktails available tasted very poor.

It's OK, but it's not up to the hype. Very average all-inclusive with no USP at all (water park is not a usp as you pay to enter). All pools are in full sunlight for most of the day, very little shade for children or non sun worshipers. Sun loungers are taken very early and limited fixed parasols. I spent the week at this amazing resort. The place is built on a hillside looking out to the sea, and most if not all rooms and venues in the hotel have an sea view. At the reception (which is situated at another hotel on the other side of the road) they asked me to pay for the air conditioning and I had to claim the reimbursement as it was in fact included to my booking. The Rio Hotel in Kardamena is beautiful and centrally located. The family who runs it is incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with great tips for restaurants, trips, and beaches. Great wee family run hotel. My wife and I stayed there with our son and daughter. It’s a wee bit out the way but there’s a fairly decent bus service or not too expensive taxi ride to Kardamena. Just spent a few days here on a last minute deal and all I can say is the place was fantastic and it's a lovely family run hotel with fresh home cooked meals ,if your looking for a quieter hotel away from.the hustle n bustle but still within walking distance of kardemena this is the hotel for you ,everyone couldn't do enough for us ,we will definitely be going back

It was nice and quiet, a short distance from the airport but just a few minutes walk from the main square and beach. Room was nice and clean with cooking facilities and a fridge. I’ve stayed here three times and booked to return. It’s clean (cleaned daily apart from Sunday, towels and sheets regularly changed) it’s a great location, family owned who are kind and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and In a brilliant location but I feel it is in need of updating. The air conditioning was 8 euros a night and to be honest was not fit for purpose. Night times were unbearable due to the heat in the room.
